Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
Probably the most beautiful farm of all TH-cam channels.

Another wonderful video. Was wondering how do you choose which cows wear the bells? Loved seeing everything in bloom your flowers looked beautiful. The fields look so nice and inviting with the yellow blooms and green grass the girls looked very happy and content. So enjoyed see your vacation pictures can only imagine how fun it was to drive that car around Italy. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us I only wish I can make the trip over. Susan

I've watched your videos for a while... and recently I went back to the beginning and started watching the back videos... and I'm amazed at how full your days must be. I see you handling straw, but I don't see where it's used, cause you use sawdust for bedding, as far as I can tell... and I don't see you adding straw to your trm mixer for for feed and when you split those short lengths of log, are those going to be used as a post later on for the electric fence. I saw some people loading some of the logs that are longer. I assume it's going to go to make Lumber, but I don't know, just speculating.
The tool you use to finish the soil after you have plowed, is absolutely ingenious... and the way you rotate pasture and make every effort you can to put up quality feed for the cattle is impressive, because I don't believe, except for the heifers and dry cows, that they go on pasture, but I could be wrong about that. It's fascinating to watch how you work. There is so little wasted motion... and you don't stand around or walk back and forth holding a camera on yourself talking, you just do the work... and that part of it is interesting.
Nice 😁 yes we use straw for feed but only a small amount, in some videos you can see me adding it to the tmr, we always add it just after we dump the feed, for the next mixing. We also use straw for calf bedding.
We sell this logs made from beech or use them for our fireplace. We usualy make fenceposts out of chestnut tree. We also sell some whole beech or spruce logs.
Yes, we're grazing only heifers lately, we're trying different strategies of feeding the milking cows and managing grassland.

Its always great to see a new video from Farmer's POV! Lots of work to prepare for the haying season. I absolutely enjoyed the video of Italy. I love Italy it's one of my favorite countries! Love that little red Alfie must be fun to drive? Was it hard to get back into the enormous amount of chores after your vacation? Keep pushing ahead I see you gained about 1k of new followers was 36k that's great to see, you deserve much much much more!!!! I'll be waiting for the next video😊

After driving by Slovenia e Croatia a few times in my life I've always wondered why people there leaves theirs house facade with red bricks without plaster on it. It gives you some kind of an "inconplete job" feeling haha. Anyway, great places and landscapes. Very clean too.
Haha yeah it is incomplete, I guess, in most cases, its just lack of money after you build a house 😅 I plan to do ours this year but things got really expensive... 🙄 Thanks 🙂

Hello Gasper , getting stuff ready for silage . Hay loft is empty those slats why you put them down on floor? Wow those bull heifers look a little rambunctious moving them to another pasture to graze in this spring . They put on the weight and looking good. Looking at all the scenery in the spring and summer and fall it’s amazing and winter looks awesome which we know you like to play in the snow with tractor. How is your dog have not seen him ? Okay understand know you both went on a trip that is awesome thank you for showing uses your video of your trip . Glad you both took a trip you both deserve it . Hope you had a wonderful time ?
There's a gap below the slats for air from drying machine. It blows up trough the hay to dry it further. Yeah each season is beautiful in their own way 🙂 the dog is fine, energic as always so I can't really have him with me when working (yet) 😅 yes it was nice to see Italian history and landscape 🙂
@@farmerspov4709 Gasper understand why the dog can’t be around wouldn’t want it to get hurt . Those pictures were awesome never seen anything like them very close and crowded places wow. Country is my life with a small town .
