Virtually everything that the State does is based on immorality (ie: aggression).
What does it mean to ‘hold accountable’ the individuals legally employed to act immorally?
Take, for a simple example, the IRS agent who takes our earnings by threat of force, an act that when committed by anyone else, we call ‘theft’.

Ian does not make sense altogether when describing who could be in Trump’s cabinet. The fact that he suggests Pompeo could be in the cabinet directly files in the face of what Trump has already said about it and gives me the feeling that Ian is living in the past and is not really paying attention to what what Trump has recently said. No mention of RFK or Tulsi as part of the transitions team adds more weight to my theory here.

Trump did not do that the last time he was president, he won’t do it this time, I don’t buy what this guy is saying, Trump hired people who were familiar with the topics they were hired for in regards to foreign policy, his presidency at its core was about building up America, he will focus on that mission again, the foreign policy will be handled by the usual suspects, will Trump make decisions? Forsure, but if it’s a dumb position there will be push back from the CIA and Trump inevitably listened to them his last time being president, no new wars remember that, the hate he gets comes from people who benefit financially when there is conflict on the horizon, Trump threatens that money train by saying he will end the Ukraine war & Gaza War, I’d much rather have a president who is fundamentally against people dying, not one who feeds the war machine.

Do not pray for it. Work for it. Be active and actually learn what it at stake. Make an informed decision.
(For my opinion on the matter. Do not vote for Trump. He is very much not informed on how the world works. I like closed to Ukraine and have experience with how Russian Government operate. They have been aggressive since the breakup of USSR for sure, but even more lately. They're using the old play book of trying to sew decent by supporting extremist in countries around them. Old divide and conquer tactic. When they talk about a multipolar world, they mean one where 3 superpowers control the world. An American, European and Asian block. Where they control their European side of things, China gets Asia, and USA can stay in their own corner in America. Not because they like America, but because they know they can not really influence North and South America. This is not a secret. Just listen what they talk about. Sometimes they're vague about their intentions. But there are plenty of time they have just gone totally face off. Nothing indicates that Trump with actually be the man we need to be tough against the Russians. If anything, he might just prolong the war by removing support. And this would be seen as a clear win by Russia. And in turn it would prove that Russia is being right about being aggressive will give them what they want. Cost wise this has not actually been expensive for the USA since what USA has donated have mainly been surplus stock that they needed to get rid of anyway. And now you save on disposal fees. So it not a matter of cost but a matter of what image. USA economy is so vastly more potent that Russia that USA can easily just overpower the Russian economy is raw output. Shorting the war with greater support would end more quickly. And also show anyone else in the world that tries to copy that old Russian play book that it does not work. How the war in Ukraine will not only inform the Russians on how to conduct themselves in the world. But also other authoritative states trying to influence the world at this moment though warfare and hybrid warfare. And yes. I might be following the politics and economics of this as a bit to much. But you would likely do so too if you lived a few min from Russia striking distance.)

Imported labor is largely in the agricultural sector which is seasonal. If wages went up in agg, it would make more sense for young people. Particularly 17-20 year olds, who are still figuring their lives out. If they have an opportunity to work hard for a summer or 3 while they decide what to do next, they can get off to a better start. Food prices will rise in the near term but automation is driving down prices in the long term. More importantly more income for young people is more stimulatory for the rest of the economy than remittances. Remittances aren’t even that good for the recipient economy because they don’t get the value that was generated by the labor.

We lost 8 years during the 'it will hurt the economy' W. Bush administration and 4 years during the 'it's a hoax' Trump administration. The only thing which will save us from more of the same is younger voters taking charge of their futures and voting in mass for their future and the future of the planet.

Climate change isn’t even the top 10 issue people care about. We’re not going to get rid of climate change by switching to electric everything, electric still requires coal & gas, it doesn’t just come from solar panels, this is the problem when people care about certain issues but don’t know how we get there, the electric vehicle mandates will kill American automotive industries if we have to switch to them by 2030, we cannot run an entire country on solar, wind & hydro, that may work for small countries like the UK but not the US, we can actually protect our world by preventing pollution clean oceans, & clean air, are far better initiatives, all of which can be done without getting rid of fossil fuels. The entire world has to fall in line if we want to prevent “global warming” from getting any worse via smoke stacks, of which the entire world is not aligned, China & Russia will not switch to the alternative energy sources and they’re the biggest polluters, we can’t chop the US’s feet off while other countries are still benefiting from fossil fuels, you’re just asking to be replaced as the worlds super power.

@@Hexanitrobenzene Election in India was not an election that signified that people were not happy. The overall vote % of BJP rose in this year compared to last election. Indian election results have been demonstrably attributed to two facts: 1) BJP distanced itself from RSS in several states and lack of RSS ground support had an adverse result in those locations. 2) Congress got into an alliance with bunch of state parties unlike last elections and consolidated votes by playing caste politics (i.e. wooing specific castes who are in majority who were suppressed in olden days) and religion politics. 3) The politics of announcing freebies and ruining the state finances thereafter.
It was well accepted that Modi government had done all too well in progressing the country. And the major pain points of unemployment which the opposition should have raised a concern for had largely been ignored in favor caste politics and freebies. The sad part is that this actually works in India.
In short, Ian Bremmer completely mischaracterized the Indian election as an election that signified people's dissatisfaction with Modi government's performance or general governance.

Not to mention...allowing in a flood of people into the country illegally and unvetted...economic policies that clearly don't work as we see at the grocery store...appeasement instead of peace through strength...and flip-flopping on numerous policies in order to get elected rather than having true convictions.

Right off the bat, Ian Bremmer does not know what he is talking about.
Inflation is at 2.4%, it was 2.5% in 2018
Immigration is at its lowest since 2021.

It seems you're conflating inflation rate with total inflation. Inflation rate (The rate at which prices are rising) are around 2.45% And we're at 1.4% when Trump left office... Under Biden it reached 6% - as a result, overall prices are still up 22% and rising at 2.4%

The key problem is that Europe is not mediating. The Europeans have the long term experience and of Russia and it’s in their interest to mediate. We are navel gazing. This guy however is very blue eyed when it comes to the Middle East if he thinks it’s game over. The aggression is not game over it’s only the beginning if the overwhelming violence doesn’t stop. What has it brought anywhere in the ME since 2001? Massive debt. Look at Afghanistan…. The west needs to talk and work together not just be told what to do by Wall Street and vulture capitalism. We need cooperation for the climate worldwide
