I loved this movie. Uncomfortably long shots, big empty spaces, and a protagonist that was almost as mysterious as the antagonist led to a tense, but not traditionally "scary" movie experience that i didn't know i needed. In a world drowning in remakes, reboots, and predictable stories, it was a breath of fresh air to see something so unique. You really nailed longlegs' mannerisms!

If you didn't get invested into the atmosphere the movie was building, it was just overly long shot after overly long shot, with no real payoff until, what, an hour into the movie or so? At least, that's what my friend complained about. Plus, it's really hard to sympathize with anyone when everyone behaves like a psychopath, even Lee. Nicolas Cage is also top billed and underutilized to an extreme, IMO. It's an extremely polarizing film.

The fine balance between unsettling and humourous is no easy feat, but you do it so well! I think I'll try using "a tendril of grass" instead of "a blade of grass" now 🌱🤔

Fun fact: A channel who reviewed this movie said that Kobble could be a possible former "Rockstar/Rockmusic-fan" from the 80s, where the satanic panic ran rampant. That would explain his swollen face (botched excessive plastic surgeries to stay young, common in the 80s), his shabby clothes and the part where he sang/screamed in his car, which sounded like a rock/metal-song or some kind.
