I used to say that my favorite holiday was Easter because that’s when I got saved. But you can’t have Easter without Christmas.
I dowloaded the Chosen a while back..But sad to say haven't watched it yet...tonight when I get home from church I will finally with great Joy watch it tonight...thanks for this interview..To see the Creator behind the Chosen, before I see the Chosen. An thank God for Men like you an Kirk Cameron

The Bible is a love story
Dallas keeps telling the birth of Jesus incorrectly. Mary was NOT married, she was a Virgin when impregnated. She was engaged to Joseph when he thought to call off the engagement (not marriage). But, an angel came to Joseph and explained that He Who was to be born was of the Holy Spirit, and that it was okay to go ahead and marry her. After Jesus' birth, Mary went on to have more children like most married women do.
Actually, Joseph and Mary were betrothed to each other, which in the culture of their day was considered just as binding as marriage. The betrothal lasted for one year, and during that year they were considered to be husband and wife in every way except for consumating the marriage bed. If the wife was found to be unfaithful during that year it was considered grounds for divorce. That's why Joseph considered divorcing Mary privately, because if he had done it publicly, she could have been stoned to death, which was why the angel Gabriel told Joseph to not be afraid to complete the marriage contract after the full year, because Mary had not been unfaithful.

In Biblical times/Jewish tradition an engagement was a betrothal. It was considered divorce-worthy if either party were guilty of infidelity. So in effect the couple would have been considered married or as good as otherwise Scripture wouldn't tell us that Josef wanted to divorce her secretly. And divorce and putting her away are considered the same thing.
@@sadiebenson1888There are a few issues but most of it is scriptural. There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the program that states not everything in the program happens in order of scripture and they have claimed some artistic license to include historically or culturally accurate detail but people are encouraged to read the Gospels and Scripture for themselves. It is not a documentary but a program.
Ideally things would be presented 100% accurately and as they happen in Scripture and I think they should be though I can understand how difficult it would be to present things in order of Scripture because the Synoptic Gospels focus more on the works of Jesus where as the Gospel of John is more theological but still, the Synoptic Gospels emphasize different episodes in the life of Jesus in different ways, some including more or less details than others, some focusing more on one sign or wonder than the other and some still seemingly mentioning a different detail over another so The Chosen have I've noticed shown these episodes in the order it is possible for them to show although they have shown certain things that scripture doesn't show us but that doesn't mean it wasn't that way and likewise it doesn't mean it was. Their main purpose is to encourage people to search the scriptures for themselves to see what really happened and to get the world that never pick up the Bible to see what the God Man Christ Jesus was like in many ways...Holy, righteous, without sin, loving, merciful, patient, self controlled, compassionate and understanding our weaknesses, our humanity, having all authority over all things yet understanding weakness. May God's will ultimately be done.
Kirk, in your saving Christmas movie in 2014, you promoted materialism, Santa, and Christmas trees over Jesus.
And at the 39:14 mark in that movie,when your brother in law said, God sent his only begotten, you finished the sentence with elf, in place of Son, and then laughed right after you said elf
I found that very offensive to our Lord and Savior.
So clearly in that movie you promoted Santa over Jesus.

@@ladyhumblebee2784 Yes it’s true, the movie is online free to watch, I only watched it to see, what it was all about, and yes he laughed right after he said elf, and he did a promo before, the movie came out, and said what he wants people to get out of watching his movie, is for people to go home and put their arms around their Christmas trees, and hug them, he and his sister are worldly. And he said also in the movie, that Jesus became material, and it’s okay for us to have material things, does it sound like Kirk is into prosperity? Kirk promoted materialism throughout the whole movie, it was so disgusting. God bless you

Was Jesus GIVEN LIFE?
He is called the firstborn and beginning of the CREATION BY GOD (COL 1, Revelation ) Also john 5:26 mentions that the FATHER GAVE JESUS, THE SON, with LIFE. If Jesus was given LIFE OR EVEN ETERNAL LIFE, then Jesus does not have life or eternal life before those were given to him. Notice, the Father was NOT given life.

NO MAN HAS SEEN GOD and if they see GOD's face THEY WILL DIE. Jesus was seen by many and they didn't DIE so Jesus Is Not The Almighty God. Jesus is called SON even before coming to earth as human. Exo 33:20 states "“You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live.”" NO MAN CAN SEE ME, notice ME , you think ME IS NOT LITERAL? IT IS LITERAL "ME" WHO IS GOD.
GOD IS FROM FOREVER:
John 1:1 mentions the WORD WAS IN THE BEGINNING, so Jesus was LIMITED "IN THE BEGINNING" Unlike GOD who is FROM FOREVER (Psalms 90:2).
Is "a god" a valid translation in John 1:1? Sahidic Coptic translation uses an indefinite article with the word “god” in the final part of John 1:1.
The Greek used in the BIble does not have an indefinite article "a" so that's why you don't see the "a" in John 1:1, The Sahidic Coptic translation uses an indefinite article with the word “god” in the final part of John 1:1. again, john 1:1 about theos - Strong's Concordance theos: God, a god , so "a god" is a valid translation. "The NAS New Testament Greek Lexicon" defines theos as "a god" as well. so it is a valid translation. Also Thayer's Greek Lexicon also defines theos as "a god" so it is a valid translation
Is Jesus the same as Jehovah? Jesus is the SON. Jehovah is Our FATHER (Isa 63:16). Even the trinity doctrine states the SON IS NOT THE FATHER, so Jesus is NOT JEHOVAH
How many person is GOD? God said " I am God Almighty", The use of I am, means GOD is ONE PERSON. Do you use I am, me, myself, me alone for ONE LITERAL PERSON or THREE PERSONS? You only use those phrases for ONE literal person and NEVER FOR THREE PERSONS.
Is Jesus described as a Morning Star like the Angels? Yes. Rev 22:16 - 16 “‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David+ and the bright morning star.’”+ JESUS IS THE BRIGHT MORNING STAR, Angels are also called morning stars in Job 38:7, so Jesus is the BRIGHT OR CHIEF OF THE ANGELS (archangel) as 1 Thessalonians 4:16 mentions.
What does Firsborn means?
So depending on the context the firstborn can be the chief, principal, or first in time or place or rank. Still though, when you use the firstborn with an OF, “firstborn OF”, because of the OF , that means the firstborn BELONGS TO THE GROUP, just like when you say firstborn of the sheep. The firstborn is a sheep. So Jesus belongs to the group of creation, firstborn of all creation.
Does John 8:58 correlate with Exodus 3? In Exodus 3, GOD is called I WILL BECOME (not I am) and does not correlate with John 8:58

What was Jesus role in creation? He is the Master Worker (Prov 8) and a channel used by GOD in the creation.

En - a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively),.. Notice it says INSTRUMENTALITY 2. Dia - a primary preposition denoting the channel of an act Notice it says CHANNEL OF AN ACT So Colossians 1:16 simply mentions that Jesus is USED BY GOD AS A CHANNEL OF AN ACT, AN INSTRUMENT in the Creation. Compare that to GOD in 1 Cor 8:6 , notice for God the Father he uses the word EK - or ex ex a primary preposition denoting ORIGIN (the point whence action or motion proceeds), from, out (of place, time, or cause; literal or figurative; direct or remote):- Notice GOD the Father is the ORIGIN/FROM ,THE SOURCE FROM WHOM ALL THINGS are created. BIG DIFFERENCE. So the FATHER IS the ORIGIN of all things. For JEsus, it didn;t use the word Origin but "THrough" which in the Original Greek word also means "a primary preposition denoting the channel of an act". So God the Father is like the WRITER, he used his Son as a channel of a act to write (like a pen). So the only writer is the Father, the Son was used as a channel and NOT THE ORIGIN of creation. This is confirmed by Jesus in John 5:19 - " Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to you, the Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he sees the Father doing.+" JESUS CANNOT DO A SINGLE THING , his FATHER always guide him.
Of course, it's not perfect. Nore is the Bible.
I'll like the chosen but JESUS said if anyone preaches a different gospel go away from them i know is fictitious that is not the real gospel. Why not make a serie of the real gospel??? 🤔
It is based on the new testament. None of the movies they have made has brought so many people to Christ. I think the Lord is guiding them in order to reach more people.
Exactly how are they preaching a different Gospel message? The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ, who He is and what He came to do. So exactly how is Jesus as portrayed in the Chosen different from the Jesus of the Bible? Got any examples?
He says Mormons worship the same Jesus as we do. Not true
