Covid was my interruption, thought I was gonna die. Last night my son called said he was bored and came to get me for coffee, a gruff 250 lb lineman grabbed my hand and said, I love you mom. Ya it was worth it! Thank you my Lord!
Thanks for this. Pls pray for me. Within 6 months I have had a car accident. I separated from my husbad, I had a health diagnosis and I have now lost my job just before Xmas. Talk about interruptions! God is so good but he has been so silent in my pain. I'm trying to raise 3 kids which is so overwhelming. God doesn't owe me any kind of lavish life, I am so thankful for the one I have, I just need him to speak to me and tell me what to do next. Because it's getting so hard to keep going. Really pray your church is there to offer support, prayerfully, financially if needed, counsel..I watched a great teaching series on Job by Derek Kindner from Ligonier ministries. $20 is a worthy investment to hear his wise teaching. It's helped me as I went through cancer treatment this last year, plus a variety of other health issues that cropped up unexpectedly.
Mark is such a lovely guest... so wise and full of spiritual inspiration. All of the miracles in Jesus's life happened on the journey on the way to the destination as you briefly mentioned... in other words... enjoy the journey and keep your eyes out for the miracles along the way. My interruption was my daughter having cancer. Then my mom and then me within 2 years. But I saw God move. My daughter had cancer again and Was depressed. Then I had cancer and we were both getting chemo treatment at the same time. That was a encouragement for her. I know people may not understand but I was happy I had cancer at that exact time. It truly showed me how she was feeling but she was not alone.
I cannot welcome the ongoing nearly 3 year unrelenting stress: financial devastation, ongoing physical pain threatening my ability to work. But, thank you Kirk for explaining bible concepts in a way for anyone to understand.

This REALLY encouraged me today. Battling an eating disorder has been really tough today. I’ve been frustrated and angry. But this made me feel hopeful.
My family just went thru a horrific interruption on Dec. 15, 2021 when my son was involved in a single vehicle wreck in which his truck flipped upside down. Without going into much detail, he was meda vacced to a trama center where tests revealed that he had a broken neck, clavicle, ribs, and a blood clot to the back of his brain. Then four days later an aneurysm was discovered in an artery located between his heart and brain. We asked everyone we know to pray for God to intervene (which he already had or my son would have never survived the accident itself). To make a story just a little shorter within three and a half weeks the aneurism was repaired, the blood clots caused a little but not a lot of damage, the broken neck has almost completely healed (miraculously) and the clavicle has started to repair itself without surgery. We were definitely interrupted, but oh what glorious things we would have missed if we had not been. Thanks for this video, Kirk. Mark is one of my favorite people. Yep, that's been my story the last 1 1/2 years, pandemic, cancer, caregiver for 90 year old mother, 5 infections in 6 months, mom fell, other physical issues, I recently fell, bruising my rib, wrist, forearm,breast..it's gotten overwhelming..feel like Job. Yet, by Gods grace he gives me strength..through his WORD, prayer, friends and the church.
I’m needing help. I’m grieving from my son won’t be apart of our family anymore. I’m 39 years in a marriage of violent rapes and beatings from the beginning. I’m not healing. I have so many health problems from what I went through. I need help.. I would take him back if he won’t hurt me. I’m so scared to be alone. I’m handicapped and health getting worse. What we learn in the book of Job is that men will always try to find an explanation for something even if he has no idea what is happening. There are three forces in this world. God, the devil, and the flesh. Some things happen because God is doing something, some things happen because the devil is attacking you, and some things happen because of our flash limitations. The problem is that everybody blames God for everything. We need to learn to discern why things are happening the way they are. I have a friend that says that when the girl is not attractive the guy says that he will pray about it, when the girl is attractive, he doesn't care about praying.
Very easy to say….. to welcome interruptions. There are some interruptions that literally interrupt your life: major financial stress, ongoing physical pain interrupting your ability to work. I myself will be honest and not profess to just not worry….. I am very worried. Sure, worry doesn’t add another day in your life but I cannot help it.
I think A.D.H.D. is a cop-out. If anyone has that, it would be me! I never knew my my mom and sister as they were killed in a car accident when I was an INFANT! I too was in the car, flew through the windshield, landed in the bushes and the paramedics almost drove off without me TWICE before they even knew I was there. 6 years later, my single father, whom the church told him that he should have given me up for adoption, remarried a lady who CLAIMED to love Jesus, turned her back on dad LESS THAT 5 MINUTES AFTER SHE SAID, "I DO" then sexually abused me for the next 6 years while my Dad was at work! 22 years later, the Lord put a female missionary in my life and discovered for the 1st time in my life what a lady truly loving me looked and felt like and when she left my life, I did not know how to handle it after what my "mom" did to me and ended up, unknowingly having a STROKE! 7 years later I had another one when another lady showed that she cared about me, and this time around, I ended up in the hospital and ALMOST DIED! Fortunately the Lord showed me in a dream that this girl will ONE DAY be MY WIFE, so I do not go through all of that for nothing! - In between all of what I have written, what my "mom" did to me influences and caused me to GO TO HOOKERS to try and find validation, caught an S.T.D. and the Lord chose to miraculously HEAL ME and that never would have happened if I had gone to those women for any other reason other that what "mom" did to me! - And the psychologists that I was forced to go to by my pastors who refused to use there bible as their authority to help me all told me, "You have a disorder (but we have no way to prove that) Here is some medication to 'help you' (even though we do not have any tests to see what is really going on with your brain) and you need to feel sorry for yourself instead of putting on your big boy pants because the Lord gives you a challenge, then steps back to see how YOU CHOSE to handle it." - If ANYONE has "ADHD," it would be ME but I have CHOSEN not to allow life to get my down and REFUSE TO GIVE UP with DEMANDING that the Lord help me. And guess what? IT WORKED...even though it too me a DECADE AND A HALF for everything to pan out!! - After all the POO POO I endured, I now get to FIND WAYS to give my love to women with treating them as I would have my own SISTER, had she lived! Satan tried to screw me up right of the bat and I faced it HEAD ON and told him to F. OFF because I WAS going to find a way to LIVE wether he like it or not! - Dont EVER allow anyone to tell you that you can not be an overcomer because of some so-called "disorder!"

Fortunately the Lord showed me in a dream that this girl will ONE DAY be MY WIFE, so I do not go through all of that for nothing! - In between all of what I have written, what my "mom" did to me influences and caused me to GO TO HOOKERS to try and find validation, caught an S.T.D. and the Lord chose to miraculously HEAL ME and that never would have happened if I had gone to those women for any other reason other that what "mom" did to me! - And the psychologists that I was forced to go to by my pastors who refused to use there bible as their authority to help me all told me, "You have a disorder (but we have no way to prove that) Here is some medication to 'help you' (even though we do not have any tests to see what is really going on with your brain) and you need to feel sorry for yourself instead of putting on your big boy pants because the Lord gives you a challenge, then steps back to see how YOU CHOSE to handle it." - If ANYONE has "ADHD," it would be ME but I have CHOSEN not to allow life to get my down and REFUSE TO GIVE UP with DEMANDING that the Lord help me. And guess what? IT WORKED...even though it too me a DECADE AND A HALF for everything to pan out!! - After all the POO POO I endured, I now get to FIND WAYS to give my love to women with treating them as I would have my own SISTER, had she lived! Satan tried to screw me up right of the bat and I faced it HEAD ON and told him to F. OFF because I WAS going to find a way to LIVE wether he like it or not! - Dont EVER allow anyone to tell you that you can not be an overcomer because of some so-called "disorder!"

Just know, the church sees me know and almost feels sorry for me and listens to me AFTER THE FACT but while I was going th it, they ignored me and tried to control me in doing what THEY thought was best for me, instead of LISTENING ! Imagine what they would have done to me if they knew I was seeing hookers immediately after the men’s group dismissed that they were FORCING ME to go too! I can guarantee you that ALOT of men do this! Accountability my butt! :)
