To dream the impossible dream To fight the unbeatable foe To bear with unbearable sorrow To run where the brave dare not go To right the unrightable wrong To love pure and chaste from afar To try when your arms are too weary To reach the unreachable star This is my quest, to follow that star No matter how hopeless, no matter how far To fight for the right Without question or pause To be willing to march Into hell for a heavenly cause And I know if I'll only be true To this glorious quest That my heart will lay peaceful and calm When I'm laid to my rest And the world will be better for this That one man scorned and covered with scars Still strove with his last ounce of courage To fight the unbeatable foe To reach the unreachable star
Ah yes. Let us all dream the impossible dream and turn it into reality. DREAM BIG: OUR CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND FUTURE GENERATIONS AND THE PLANET WILL THANK YOU.
The tone of Bryn Terfel's voice is pleasant enough but he has no feeling in anything he sings. It is all on one level, devoid of expression or understanding of the words; no light and shade. I have listened to him in opera, show songs, sea shanties et al - and to me they all display the same monotonous delivery. He should study some of the bass-baritones of the past.
Comment peut-on apprécier ? Incompréhensible. Désolé.
Bryn did very well considering the orchestra's tempo (agree with others - too fast!), but Bryn held it together beautifully & finished well too.
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march
Into hell for a heavenly cause
And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lay peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To fight the unbeatable foe
To reach the unreachable star
I like the temp. Bryn always the Star !
I hope he do a proper recording of this song and other Broadway tunes..like this is the moment,
Love the epicness of that performance.
Your not catching a bus calm down and let us enjoy the beauty of the song
I have to agree with some of the comments. Faster is not always better. But Bryan is just incredible ❤️
Excellent. Maybe a little fast, but it's anyway a beautiful performance. Thanks Mr. Terfel.
Love YOU, BRYN! Come back to L.A. for more golf!
I like the desperate quality of the tempo.
Gosh too fast ,didn't enjoy this at all .
Wow, i can really hear the bass in his voice, his voice is getting lower, was a bass baritone.
that orchestra is no joke
😂
Great voice!
Out of his comfort zone with this song. Many superior versions out there.
I agree. many superior versions. Too fast, not much heft.
I love the baritone voice.
You're in London you can get a new taxi instead of keeping the meter running on the one you used to get there.
Ah yes. Let us all dream the impossible dream and turn it into reality. DREAM BIG: OUR CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND FUTURE GENERATIONS AND THE PLANET WILL THANK YOU.
Incredible!!!!!!!
Bravo
Rushed it a bit, were they on a tight deadline?
magnifico
Bryn Terfel, please play Cervantes/Don Quijote!
I love his voice! It would be a a great honor for me to sing with him!
Bryn Terfel..... Lindo
wow!
Bryn should do the phantom in phantom of the opera
Excelent.....!!!!!
Bravo!
Music by Chico Buarque
Why so fast? Are they running late for dinner? Love Bryn but this is awful tempo
It is só good
Its good!
A bit fast, by me.
Everybody has his own tempo, nobody wants to sing the same as everybody else.
Way too fast for this number.
I like this but Jim Neighbors still owns it!
Jim Nabors.
YES!!
If our dear Jim were still with us - he would tell you that Richard Kiley totally owns this.
Brian Stokes Mitchell.
Totally wrong here ! Tempo too fast ;/ It's not good: Don Quichotte is an old man, tired, dying not an Olympic champion running with steroïd !!!
Que manía con meter el turbo...
❤️

Dmitri Hvorostovsky !
Alfie boa is best at this
👏👏👏👏
FFS...it did what it was written to do....but yes...a little too rushed. Bassey did better....now Bryn...do it again...and make love to it.
The unvisebale dream, the proud of England
what a beautiful comment....but what are you really trying to say? unvisebale is not a word.....and I'm sure He's Welsh.
@@maestromuffin1 sorry, my English ist 60 years ago.I beliebte everybody und erstand.😚
He does seem to be in a hurry...ruined a great song....
Brel vs Terfell ....
Irish singer
Welsh
Bryan is top class, but I felt the tempo was too quick for this song.
so fast and so much tremolo.
Somebody's gotta take the bull by it's horn 🤷♂️!
Yes a little bit slower please Bryn diolch yn fawr
Thats the conductors fault, not bryn's
Too fast!!
Peter O'Toole sings this one better in "Man of La Mancha"
smacked hull tew
He is slightly off pitch.
bryn likes himself
Way too fast! WTF!!!!!
Feels rushed.
Donald Trump came to mind

+Raphael B To be fair, this is way below his normal standard
De acuerdo. Ya una voz en decadencia, con trémolo. La canta feo
Raphael B
D’accord.
How to ruin a song and a singers reputation
