I still think this figure is absurdly priced, but I cannot deny the amount of detail they put into this figure. From the reptile skinned texture to the immaculate paint job and the sheer size of this thing is great. This is almost on par with Hot Toys level of detail

It was season 1 epsiode where they had a peace treaty and Cheetor was entering the Predecons area and he was being shot and Megatron is brushing his beasts mode teeth with that blue tooth brush and turns off his outer perimeter guns due to the peace treaty. It was a great episode!!!

This is the best looking transformer made to date, that paint is amazing and well justifies a higher price point but not the prices we're getting charged for these! the qc problems are definitely going to be the case for this figure and are going to be takaras problems moving forward, they've set there minds on what to cut corners with to make the most profit and it started with doubling the price with mp36 and dinobot then tripling with this megatron and then now quadrupling with mp44!
I must say! This is a beautiful alt mode. I mean the paint apps are simply incredible. This is one of those figures I would display him in alt mode. Hopefully they'll be a Takasa Tony soon. As always great review!
Have opened 3 of these now and two were damaged in the box with broken crotches. The swirly plastic was a bad choice. Hopefully the third party guys will make a replacement. Thankfully the store it was bought in had spares, but they are now sending two back that broken in the box. 2 outta 8(1in 4) from the shipment is a pretty bad chance of a broken figure. Reviews good my friend, very useful for avoiding stressing it
Iv always loved Beast wars Megs amazing Character love the design but it’s ONLY ME! But if it had a Battle mask I would die for this design I just love Mechas with Face plates aka Optimus Gundams and so on.
At first I thought he was overpriced, but he looks like he uses more than double the amount of plastic and screws, not to mention how much surface area needed to be painted. Goddamn beautiful. I'm hoping they redo Rattrap and Rhinox to be more Masterpiece quality, because the molds are very very close. Rhinox just needs ratcheted thighs, and some diecast on Rattrap would help his foot balance.

I never cared for beast wars (only saw a handful of episodes) but this figure does a great job at catching the character. Beautiful paint jobs and a spot on sculpt. Not for my collection (G1 purist here) but a tremendous figure nonetheless.
You can watch wotafa's transformation (he made separate videos for back and forth) to check if you done them correctly. The panels popping (especially in the tail section) was highlighted by him too, so you're not alone there.

I have this figure, the price tag is too high for what you get. It's a great toy, but it shouldn't cost more than $200, considering we got a lot more accessories and a complex transformation with MP-36. And it doesn't come with a stand.

I think the sound-box is fanservice for the Japanese fans on Beast Wars. The fact they got the original actor from the Japanese dub of Beast Wars may also have something to do with the price. Trivia: Shigeru Chiba, who Megatron in the Japanese dub of Beast Wars and Beast Machines, also voiced Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho and Buggy the Clown from One Piece.

I've heard so many bad things about Dinobot's feet that I don't even wanna chance it on the rumored KO of Dinobot. (The breakage issue on Megs doesn't bug me nearly as much; if the feet suck, that'll make everything worse!!) Unlike MP36, though...this guy's smiling face just looks *goofy*...maybe it's the pronounced human style teeth, that bugged me in the show, too. But he otherwise seems WELL worth the investment!!
If they make a MP BW Megatron this good, just imagine if they did his Transmetal 2 form aside from the Perfect Effect Mega Doragon which is already a good MP level design

G1 megatron was a hand gun (based on a walther p38) this toy comes with a double barrel shotgun. It kind of looks inspired by Elmer fudds gun in looney tunes. There not even close to the same. They just both have stocks
I don't think it is supposed to resemble G1 Megatron. It is the hunting rifle he had in Call of the Wild, where he was hunting the maximals that were stuck in beast mode. The other predacons carried him in a luxury safari rich guy throne thing too. It was kind of funny.
Kinda disappointed that the back kibble didn’t compress as well as the promo images look, but despite that, figure looks absolutely beautiful, not too sure on the price though.
Second time transforming mine as carefully as I could a tab broke off. Look at the stress mark on that last tab in the back middle when you separate it at the 11:20 mark. Seems inevitable that tabs will start falling off if you just transform this figure enough times. The thin plastic, tolerances, having to bend some parts and pry thin parts loose... It's just disappointing to me. Looks absolutely beautiful in both modes, but I think they could have done a lot better with the quality in some places.
TJ Wilferd this was my biggest fear from the beginning. I already managed to break one of the shoulders on my cheator, I wouldnt want to even begin thinking about breaking something on a toy thats like 5x the price. If I pay that much money for something that isnt a necessity I want it to last as long as I will haha
Cool, for a hundred bucks less I would've thought about it haha. Its an amazing figure but for the money theres a lot of things id still rather do. Like you could buy 6 fucking new videogames for that price or 3 insane gundam kits or go on a vacation for 2 weeks xD or buy a washing machine.
You have the back panels done wrong and sloppy. Watch Emgo316’s transformation video to see the correct placement; whereas, this video’s transformation is just half baked and incomplete. The paneling making up the backpack is show accurate when done correctly.
