This figure looks great. I'm still getting it despite my concerns with that crotch breaking. The greedy side of me now wants a Masterpiece Transmetal version of this guy. A Masterpiece Scorponok would be the cherry on top for me. The way they seem to be pumping out Masterpiece figures, it could be in the future.

But for a figure *that* massive...the instructions really should've come in a nice booklet (like Starsaber's did, for instance). EDIT 2023Mar18: It really sucks that Hasbro never did a specific US release (they seem to have just given up entirely on the Masterpiece line, preferring to just repackage Takara's stuff). Crazier still is that there's a knockoff of this beastly behemoth that actually does have a few David Kaye clips along with a mode change to include a few matching clips from the Chinese dub of Beast Wars.

Anyone have an issue with swapping the face? I can easily swap the default face on and off, but i CAN NOT for the life of me slip the other faces on his head, and i'm not sure why.
So there's a way to switch between the voice clips and sound effects take it the full extent kind of like with the MP 36. What you do is you press down and hold the button on his Dino head and it'll make a kind of transformation sound where you'll get even more voice lines and if you hold it down again it'll make the cannon sound from his mouth. Also there is a tiny little sliding joint for the waist piece to just bring it forward a little bit. The best way to pull that forward is just to hold the back of that pelvis piece and pull it until it stops, no more than that. I think that's how a lot of people are breaking it, by holding it at the legs much like how you said for the slider during transformation for the torso.
I don’t usually like a featherless tyrannosaurus, but the head and scaly texture really does it for me here. Kinda wanna see someone do the Big Convoy thing and try to make the beast mode out of just the armor bits.
You can still secure the tail on the arm so it sits more flush without it moving. There’s the top tab and if you push the tail down into the arm, it’ll lock into a second tab.
I hope MP Bumblebee 2.0 can also have its kibble removed I also hope it's actually proportionate Or an actual improvement over the one we only got a couple years ago!

Hey Peaugh, I hate to tell you this but you missed a few steps, so with the back panels you can tab the bottom half that slide into the top half and if you put the whole panel back far enough they take together. The crotch panel slides forward, and the Dino tail actually has two locking points the blue tab that is visible but also a black locking tab in side it too. When you take the blue one in if you apply pressure where you have tabbed it in and then push down on the forearm as well it will lock in fully getting it closer to the arm. Oh and by the way there are two extra neck joints but they are very stiff.
Protoform X I knew about the back and waist, just spaced doing it in the video. I learned about the neck extension after I recorded the video, and I will have to try the arm clip. Thanks!
Why would you need to repaint him? That mold has two different purple versions available already. It would probably be cheaper to repaint him but much, much easier to just purchase one of the two purple versions. You also wouldn't have to worry about paint chipping or color matching. They released the first purple one alongside the Cybertron version for the 10th anniversary of Beast Wars. It came in the same style box as the Transmutate BAF deluxe reissues. It came with a small Darksyde ship instead of the BAF piece. The other purple version was from Transformers United.
Because the Beast Wars MP is still ultimately appealing to Japanese audiences who didn't really grow up hearing the awesome tones of David Kaye but rather they heard Shigeru Chiba. It's weird but that's just kind of the deal though depending on what Hasbro or a 3P company chooses to do? It's always possible that we may get David Kaye voice clips later on.
