This is wild because I noticed my temperature gauge going up like crazy while I was at the In N Out Drive thru line. I get home asap and my coolant reservoir is almost empty. Come to find out my radiator had been leaking 🙂 I still enjoyed my double double
@@avalentino2386thats a little scary cuz im here for the exaccct same reason and i was also in line and in & out lmaoo. My issue though is that it hasn’t overheated since. But the overflow reservoir is low, but I don’t see a leak anywhere..
New radiator, upper and lower coolant hoses and clamps also replaced the thermostat... No overheating, oil and coolant mixing but I still keep getting a drop in the coolant level even after topping off! No visible leaks or pooling under the car either lol I'm stumped
Might be the block is cracked or the head gasket is faulty . Also the water pump was my problem it was faulty .I had the same problem you are having and the pump was bad
I will be doing the uv dye test to see because I keep loosing coolant too waiting for the pump as what the mechanic suggested but still going to do the dye test to find any leaks
I had a new radiator, upper and lower hoses and thermostat installed too and I'm also noticing small coolant loss, maybe 5 to 10 oz a week. It was hard to find but i tracked it down to what looks like the thermostat housing where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. It'll drip onto the transmission and is hard to spot.
I flushed the system . Radiator has a crack leak .. when I refill the coolant container . The car gets hot and the coolant boils and overflows. Everyone says bad head gasket, temp gauge stays at the half mark, engine doesn’t smoke or anything. Would the radiator cause this? ( the reservoir overflows hot with the cap off)
Did you ever find ?? out mine is over heating and leaking from the thermostat and housing as well… I changed and replaced the housing and thermostat still same affect
A Bad Rad. That will make your car sad, and then you get mad. Pay attention to this easy auto fix and you will be……… wait for it………… hold on…………… glad! Fun fact in EAF!
My engine bay gets extremely hot and my fan runs very fast when my ac is on. But I have no lights... my engine temp needle stays at constant normal temp when it warms up. I am not sure what is going on. I'm scared to drive my car but it runs fine. Could I have a bad radiator? It's a 2010 mercedes e class so I thought the thousands of sensors would at least tell me if my engine is overheating or the radiator is not working but I am at a loss here.
Did you get solution, I have the same problem, I even replaced the head gasket but still no change, I want to change the radiator to see if it will work today
Same here. 4 shops later, not a bad head gasket, changed all hoses and thermostat housing, coolant leaking from the hoses. connections near the radiator cap. Upper radiator hose gets hot at hell but no lights, no overheating.
So I changed the water pump change the rag cap again one head gasket stop leak flushed it out after radiator notice still burning coolant back around the thermostat so I changed out the thermostat housing and haven't had any leaking yet but now I have the gas cap light in my miles per gallon is very low any ideas it seems with these vans that the motors are very temperature temperamental so if it's above 70 it starts to find its way out of the motor if it stays below it runs just fine like it's possessed LOL
I also change my thermostat but I got antifreeze on the top of the radiator and a big long puddle alone the whole bottom of the radiator so I’m hoping that that’s all it is. It’s freaking stupid.
Correction, fins dont transfer antifreeze, and therefore they cant leak, tubes to which the fins are connected to, do carry the liquid. Fins are there only to aid the cooling process by dissipating the heat more efficiently. You can even tear off all the fins and the radiator is gonna work just fine. By "just fine" i mean it's gonna work but not nearly as effective as with the fins still attached.
when I have mine idling I noticed yesterday when I putting in coolant theres a point it starts spitting it out or (overflowing) itll swing back down and the coolant would rise and again like if it's over flowing I had to keep putting in coolant till I realized that it kept doing that so I put as much as possible for the moment
This guy sounds like a surfer. lol But it seems like I KNOW FOR SURE I am going to have to take my car to the mechanic tomorrow. I have had all those symptoms.
Ram to the store on my lunch break. When I came back my radiator had smoke or something shooting out and there was a definite leak. Hose was fine. I had absolutely no coolant in the overflow reservoir. Grabbed three gallons of antifreeze. Put one gallon in the over flow and a little over one gallon in the radiator cap. Had a guy look at it and said my radiator was cracked but idk if I trust him. My radiator is dirty so I am going to clean it as well. Never had any issues with it before.
Was on my home from work and my car started smoking and stuff shooting out. What did u end up doing? Ima have someone look at it because it just happened, over thinking the worst like the whole thing is done
@@luisanjel4745 my truck is currently parked It overheated and died on me at the end of december. The radiator is the least of my worries now due to oil leaking from the bell housing of my transmission.
Please anyone help me, i just bought 2001 opel utility 1.6is and i noticed that the engine will get very hot before the fan start cooking actually it will reach 100 then the fan start to cool the engine. Is this normal and if not what should i try?
My radiator exploded in the in-n-out drive through… I was so embarrassed lol
Nothing a double double can’t take care of though lol
DAYUM!

Would driving slowly over road debris avoid this type of damage?
Loveee your channel! I also took a couple of your quizzes and like that you explain what each correct answer means❤
Very nice, thank you!

I have the same issue
Can a bad radiator cause the thermostat and the housing to leak? I just replaced both the thermostat and housing but it’s still leaking
Not likely.
Did you ever find ?? out mine is over heating and leaking from the thermostat and housing as well… I changed and replaced the housing and thermostat still same affect
Last time that happen to me my water pump was out once I changed it it stop leaking out the thermostat housings
My 52 Chevy radiator is soaken wet from the top and my cap is crusty white

I'm going through a radiator issue right now, and everything you said is so true. 😂😂😂😂😂

Did you guys bleed the cooling system after replacing everything?!
You may have a bad cooling fan resistor, have it checked and replaced if necessary
As a side note if you run your AC the fan will turn on and constantly run...
I flushed an changed cap x3 got in radiator hopen this fixes problem but not over heating coolant keeps blowing out cap also changed thermo

Scotty killer channel suggested if it's like a bubbling, might be related to the engine block
Does boiling fluid mean I have a bad radiator?
We need symptoms of a bad condenser!!!
Look and see if your condenser fan is running
CAN YOU DO, "Symptoms of a bad Radiator Inlet/Outlet Tank," NEXT, PLEASE???!!!
Get a new car😢

What about if radiator have leakage on left side pls what to do
Replace the thing
Yup, replace it. I’m having the same problem. Next week I will replace it. Its not a very big cost tho.
I’m having to replace mine as of right now it’s almost $1,000 for me crap😢

Check your cooling sensor
How do you know the temperature?
Define very hot. Are you redlining on the thermostat? What engine temperature reading are you getting from your OBDII scanner?
im not bad i swear
“If you drive your car your engine is overheating”
