I just bought one of these off a guy on Craigslist the other day. Highest spec (2.7ghz) w/anti glare hi res screen. $350. I popped in a 860 Evo SSD that I had, and upgraded the RAM to 16gb (that I pulled from my Mac Mini before I sold it). Took out the dvd drive and put in a caddy to hold the original 1tb HDD. I’ll tell you what... this machine is a keeper. I immediately sold my late 2013 Retina 13”. Don’t need it anymore. Made back the money I spent on this, AND pocketed another $200. Just ran Geekbench on this 2012, scored 13,500 multi core. That’s almost up there with mid 2015 15” retina. It even outputs 4K via Mini DisplayPort. The only downside is the screen. It’s not terrible, but the retina screens are so much better. For this powerful (and cheap) of a machine, it’s totally serviceable. Good call, Luke!

Came to the same conclusion earlier this year when looking for a Logic-capable MBP for my son to use at music college. It's a no-brainer if you're on a budget. I picked up a Mid-2012 Unibody 15 inch 2.3 Ghz i7 for 450 GB Pounds, added 16GB RAM and a 500mb SSD. Runs Logic flawlessly.

It is getting old and things are starting to go bad, I need to find a place to refurbish for me.
I have a 2015 2.8 Retina that's my main machine. Purchased a 2012 15" with the matte screen and a 2012 13" for extremely cheap because they were not functioning. Planned on fixing/selling them for big profit, but now that they work they are such GREAT machines I hate to part with them. Both are close to perfect cosmetic shape as well.
Hey, Luke! My name is Andrew. This video popped up on my recommended videos and I just wanted to say I appreciate the work and effort you put into your videos and your channel. Thank you for making great quarantine content 😂
I‘m still rocking the Mid 2012 15“ Retina Macbook Pro and it‘s still running like a champ. I‘m still doing some heavy work on that thing every single day. It‘s a real workhorse and the best Macbook ever made!
the 15" mid 2012 model is what i have :) it is heavy but honestly i love my ports and the fact it's the last mbp that you can upgrade storage and memory
Personally i got the macbook pro mid 2012 15" and the iMac 21.5 late 2013, both of the machines u had recommended deeply... as far I felt really conformable with my computers
Hey Luke, thanks for making this video. I have an early 2011 unibody 17 inch MBP and a mid 2012 unibody 15 inch MBP, both anti-glare with 16gb of ram and a 512gb ssd. I agree, the mid 2012 unibody 15 inch MBPs are the best ever made. The new MBPs are so expensive, I might consider buying a high spec 2017 21.5-inch iMac. Oh btw, I've subscribed to your channel, keep up the good work!
hey, am watching this on 13" MBP mid 2010 running original OSX Snow leopard. the battery says "replace now" since two years ago but it still serves for 3.5-4 hours. dents everywhere (dropped it at least 3-4 times, once it went slide down the stairs). it lost all of its black button feet so I have to put it on something to make it a bit elevated. still, it works 10X better than the HP820 with i5 processor provided by my office ..
Actually the 15" MacBook Pro from 2015 with the 2.8GHz i7 CPU (i7-4980HQ) is the most powerful MacBook EVER. It's even more powerful than the newest 2017 3.1 i7 (i7-7920HQ) MacBook Pro. It's kinda unbelievable that a 2 year old MacBook is still the most powerful one. It also has all the ports and a way better cooling system than the newest ones, so it throttles less. If you don't believe me - just check the numbers. Google the CPU number with passmark after that and you will see that the 2015 MacBook is more powerful.
Alexander Karaatanasov I have to disagree that it’s the most powerful MacBook ever. The graphics card alone rules it out on that basis as it’s nowhere near the radeon pro 460/560. Also the fans run very loud. Trust me, I’ve owned both a 2016 touch bar 15” and the 2015 you mentioned, the newer ones are simply more powerful and quieter
Great points, but due to the newer model's size, cooling is a joke. The performance isn't even getting up to what it should be because it can often throttle down to the performance of the older generation models, making matters much worse. Quiet doesn't equal performance. I would take a louder more powerful MacBook Pro with a larger, longer lasting battery any day over the tin can known as the 2016 and 17 MacBook Pro.
Gonna have to disagree with that as well I'm afraid. I have found the cooling on the 2016-17 models to be quite excellent really. For example, I have been running Cryptocurrency mining programs on the CPU and GPU for 4 days straight and the computer has not overheated at all, it is running very stable and not throttling in the slightest. Granted if you block vents, or dust builds up the computer can get hot, but on the whole I have had no problems with throttling whatsoever. I reckon the cooling improvements are due to the much larger side vents, the thinner hinge which allows more air to pass, and the very large diameter fans
You must have it in a cool area, or it's simply not working it as hard as possible. Keep in mind that mining relies solely on the GPU with the CPU barely doing anything. The point where the machines start to really show their cooling issues is when you are hammering the CPU and GPU, but mostly the CPU. Quinn of Snazzy Labs did a fantastic job elaborating and demonstrating this on his 7700K iMac and his loaded 2016 15" MacBook Pro. th-cam.com/video/6TWbXV5xeYE/w-d-xo.html
I just bought a mid 2012 15 inch non retina Macbook Pro off Facebook for $300. I installed two Samsung EVO 860 500gb SSD's in RAID configuration and 16gb RAM and it is AMAZING!!
I have two SSD's in mine but one boots Windows so I cannot software RAID. I'm so tempted to do a dual RAID 0 though! The read write speeds are near the newer machines i hear!
Apple sadly died along with Steve jobs. I so wanted to buy a new macbook pro. But due to the lack of ports and other bad things I hear, makes me not want to purchase a MacBook pro.
This is my problem. I can't upgrade to a newer model because Apple downgraded the upgrade. It's no longer a professional machine so pro must be short for some other word. Maybe profitability.
Yeah idk wtf they where thinking with those four ports they took away the head phone jack because they want to get rid of wires so they contradict themselves when they release somthing New
YES!!! Mid-2012 Unibody here! I originally bought a late 2011 MBP new as my first real laptop (several years after a bad experience with a Dell PC laptop which was promptly returned), but had the GPU failure in late 2014. I was going to go on a long vacation/trip for over a month so I needed a laptop, so out of desperation I bought a Mid-2012 via a local Craigslist buy for $700. The seller said it had 8GB RAM installed, but when I opened it up later, it had two RAM chips installed, with one not seated properly! After re-seating it, I suddenly had 16GB RAM! SCORE! After returning from my long vacation, I had my original 2011 repaired for free via Apple recall and sold it for around $700 (making my money back). This Mid-2012 Unibody has been serving me faithfully for over 4 years! I recently upgraded the 500GB HD with a 1TB Samsung SSD and finally upgraded the OS from Mavericks to Mojave. I'm flyin' with this thing now! The Mid-2012 is also the last MBP with an optical drive and Firewire (which is somewhat important to me as I use my MBP to record and perform music, and my audio interface uses Firewire). Totally hate the fact that the new MBPs are so lacking...Glad to find out I'm using the best MBP ever!
I have the Mid 2012 unibody....had it since 2012 and it's still awesome. I love that I can upgrade it as well. Great video although I'm a little biased....lol
I agree the non retina 2011 to 2013 with a GPU and CPU thermal repast and cleaning are great and upgradeable can have 2 ssds or one and a DVD or blue ray player battery and memory are replaceable. And the quad cores are even fast today. With hacks you can add a egpu and the latest is they are solid goid looking and not to heavy. I wonder if their are ram chips that will allow 32gb now?
Well I like my 2017 13" non touchbar MacBook Pro. It's fast, does all I need it to and wasn't overly expensive. USB C is fast and so univerally adopted that I rarely need adaptors.
I wouldn't say its the greatest but my mid 2009 macbook pro is still running strong. 9 years and still upgradeable and relevant...I think that is impressive. I added RAM and an ssd drive. It runs great.
Yep, I had the last non retina 15 inch Macbook Pro and it was great; after that one I got a 2013 Retina 15 inch MacBook Pro, I really love this one, the Quadcore i7 are more than capable nowadays. Unfortunately as you said, this one cannot be upgraded as the former. I must say that the retina display is just gorgeous, (the non retina´s one was great also) and even I don't use it at full resolution most of the time, I really like the 1680x1050 resolution. The only issue I don't like on the retina MBP is that it gets too hot under mid multimedia load (I´m not sure if is the GPU or CPU the one overheating), however it performs really nice. Both computers are great for everyday work, web development, software development, windows or linux virtualization, video editing, you name it. MBPs are really stable and reliable. I really like this machines. Nice video Luke!
I own the 2012 unibody it is great! I upgraded the ram myself to 16 Gigs for like 65 bucks. The keyboard is satisfying to type on and the i7 quad core is still quite capable even in 2020!
@Kidd KARNELIAN unfortunately I don't think there are any upgrade options for the 13" screens. Great deal tho (coming from what I'm used to seeing on the UK market).
I got a late 2011 MacBook Pro 15" with 8GB of ram for 90 Bucks. No hard drive included. I already have an ssd so its all good. This thing is in almost mint condition too!
mid-2012 (core i7, 2.9 GHz) is hands down the best MacBook Pro ever made. I upgraded everything in less than two days and it runs faster than my friend's 2017 one.
Some of these 15 inch mid-2012 (like the one I have) were customizable with a 1680x1050 resolution screen. I love the resolution on my macbook, virtually indistinguishable (for me) from 1080p and less taxing on the hardware than a retina display. Although on booting and windows while gaming I have to run most intensive games at 1280x800 resolution, but I still get 30-40 FPS on the highest detail settings, and 50-60 FPS on lowest settings.
I just got a unibody 2012 MBP and I've been loving it. Already have Logic installed, been working with final cut pro, and have Parallels desktop to go between windows 10 and high sierra. All while still being a fully capable machine!
This guy reminds me of myself for some strange reason... almost like I'm looking at my future self. He looks like me and talks similar to me (just an older version)
Does anyone have a list of which MacBook pros have a graphics card failure? I want to know cause I’m thinking about buying an older Mac and don’t want to have a graphics defect.
Bought one in 2012, upgraded cpu, dedicated gpu and replaced both dvd drives for ssd's. Thought it became unrepaireable, bought another one, exactly same specs, finally fixed the first one, now I've got 2 and use them for everything, it's fast, reliable and I don't need another one.
If you don t need high specs, i recommend the late 2009 macbook unibody. It runs High Sierra natively and it is hard to buy a broken one on eBay, because broken ones hardly exist.
I'm getting my new-old MBP 2015 15" tomorrow; 2.8GHz/16GB/256GB (I'll be putting a larger SSD in it). Production date was just this last year a few months before they stopped making them (so no dGPU) and I actually still have some of the original 1-year warranty, and only 13 recycles on the battery, boxed and everything that came with it for a really great price. This will be my new everyday machine with some compromising;-), not the most compact but enough so, not the best screen or speakers (compared to the newest models), but still really good, wish it had thunderbolt 3, but hay its got all those other ports... and a really great keyboard and proper size force-touch trackpad ;-) The APPLE glow on top, magsafe, that beautiful outer case finish and fit, this is one very cool computer. Coming from my all-time favorite, the late 2011 quad-core MBP 17", which unfortunately died... again... for the third time... and now is not supported... so... I still had my mid-2010 17" dual-core and so will still be using that as my back-up, and its nice for general use and media with the big anti-glare screen, not 'retina' but still pretty nice with it best-at-the-time 166 dpi. With options like we have with vintage MBPs, and all the problems of the resent incarnations, I guess we are lucky.
I recently purchased a newer laptop, but I still prefer using my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro. I simply switched out the hard drive for an SSD a couple of years ago and it runs flawlessly. It handles web browsing, Microsoft Office applications, and even Photoshop just fine. The best part? It has tons of ports. I agree that screen has a lot of glare, so hopefully I can fix that soon. Either way, six years and my laptop is still running strong!.. I wish that Apple would put these ports and the chiclet keyboard on their newer models.
I have the 15" unibody 2012. Works like a champ. But I have a really old OS. What operating system does your demo have -- and how high can it go? High Sierra?
You gotta keep in mind price at release date too. Im sure the MacBook you picked cost a pretty penny when they came out. im going with 2015 Macbook Pro
Babidoo that’s what I have. Honestly you can get the 13 and 15 used for the same price or around. Def 16gb of ram. No question. And I would rec the 15 because of the quad core. I have the13 and it’s good but does slow down at times.
Ok so what year & exactly what model is this.., & the maximum price I should pay is what..? I’m on S.S.D & am looking for the best for my money..! Where could I find 1 of these..? Thank you so very much if you can help me..,
According to Geekbench, the MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012) only has a multi-core score of 6,567. Does it actually have enough juice to power intensive programs?
the macbook pro you chose is really thick... i choose the 13 inch touch bar 2016/ 2017 macbook pro yes expensive but it its really thin and only 3 lbs with 4 usb c ports its future proof and small bezels beautiful display and i think the shiny apple logo looks better than the lit up apple logo.. the music you had for the video montage was the introduction music for the apple watch
You avoided the mid and late 2010 models (1st gen i5/i7), and also failed to mention any of the 17 inch models (especially the late 2010), why? I think those were wonderful, and no graphic problems too (still work great.)
My current 15 inch MacBook Pro is a 2009 i7, bought for the built-in CD/DVD drive, which the Retina series lacked. It's OK for "light duty on The Interweb." Could I upgrade to something less ancient? I wonder if it is worth having to put up with the "fashion accessories" found on current MacBook Pro units. Oh well, my other "power laptop" is a Wintel Lenovo W530 ThinkPad i7 workstation.;)
I'm not a Mac user, but I really like computers like the mid-2012 unibody. I wish Apple still made Macs like that. The last upgradeable MacBook, and it sill had plenty of ports.
What about the 15 inch Mid 2014/2015? I’d say that’s the best MacBook Pro, you get a Retina display, decent graphics, at £649/$699 off eBay and you’ve still got a good port selection
Great video! Can you tell me:- the model number / where to find full specs / is 17" model the same apart from screen size / do apple do refurbished models with guarantee? Thanking you in advance. Steven.
Unfortunately they never made a 2013 17 inch. 2011 was the last year the 17 inch was made. Sorry. I've had both the mid-2010 and late-2011 [last] 17 inch MBPs. My 2011 had 2 logic board replacements becasue of dGPU failures, and one more a month after the 'vintage' label was put on it and APPLE no longer supported it or would replace the defective GPU/logicboard. Went back to my semi-retired 2010 dual-core and its still going fine. Not the post powerful MBP, but fine for general use and nice for media with its larger anti-glare screen. Going for a new (2018) production MBP 15" 2015 now for a daily work machine.
I just bought my 1st macbook ever (in 2020)...I picked up a USED mid 2k12 retina...i7, 16gb, 256 storage...I was told 2k12 was the best, but wondering why not the retina? Before I say how much I paid for it, lol, what would be a good price?
Suggestion:you should master your audio. Some compression and basic limiting should do the trick. Your volume is relatively low compared to others. Anyway like your videos
Mid 2015 still going strong. I won't upgrade until I absolutely have to. I'm not pleased with the new keyboard feel, touch bar, etc. I'm hoping 2019 brings us an upgrade-worthy model.
Late 2009 17” MBP with GeForce 9400M, 9600M, and Core 2 Duo. My mid 2012 non-retina MBP is the top spec and has 4TB storage (2TB SSD), but the nvidia chip scares me. My mid-2012 i7 13” non retina is the most reliable. The 2009 15 and 17 inch have the tantalum capacitor failure. I only realised after buying a dead one. Has been solid ever since!
I bought a refurbished (new battery + display) 2015 MBP with dPGU for 1200$. In December 2019, yes! Because it is the last reliable PRO macbook. Everything from 2016-2018 is just trash. Faulty keyboard and flex cable, poor battery Whr, pathetic I/O selection, no Magsafe, no SD-port, speaker and T2 problems, trackpad too big (palm rejection meh), touchbar mostly useless, the surface gets scratches much faster, overall too expensive, and they even killed the glowing apple logo... just pathetic. Majority of reviews and users agree.

17” 2011 2.2 GHz with all port, never had problems with my graphic card.
AKA The Beast : )
A mid 2012 15" Retina model doesn't exist, does it? Did you get all details right?
I just saw, it seems to exist... I had been told no. Thanks for the comment :), time to do some more research...
Ended up buying a 15" 2012 MacBook Pro for myself after binging your videos! You make really good stuff :)
the 15" mid 2012 model is what i have :) it is heavy but honestly i love my ports and the fact it's the last mbp that you can upgrade storage and memory
Personally i got the macbook pro mid 2012 15" and the iMac 21.5 late 2013, both of the machines u had recommended deeply... as far I felt really conformable with my computers
Rocking a Mid 2012 15 inch with 256GB SSD and 16GB RAM. It’s damn good. I really hesitate to upgrade. The only issue is its weight. Weighs a brick!
Haha.way to go 👍
I'm just saying right now that the best macbook is most definitely the Macintosh Plus
Or the SE30 hahaha
only thing is, the Macintosh Plus was NOT A FRICKIN MACBOOK! It was my favorite retro mac, so I definitely agree anyway.
But the Macintosh portable is the best laptop ever made.
sid r/whooosh
Juan Felipe Parra Aguilera r/whoosh
The best without doubt is the mid 2012 non retina, fully upgradeable. Still today is a good choice.
Pfffffft obviously it’s the i9 2019 MacBook Pro, it doubles as a oven
its shit I have it i9 2.4 and I am not happy it heats up like crazy and battery drains lile ever before
Haaaaaaa !!! Just like most PCs are Foreman Grills, their horrendous dated wedge design and bulky over engineering blunders lol
Well my opinion is the best MacBook Pro is the 2015
Actually the 15" MacBook Pro from 2015 with the 2.8GHz i7 CPU (i7-4980HQ) is the most powerful MacBook EVER. Google the CPU number with passmark after that and you will see that the 2015 MacBook is more powerful.
dude, cooling on the 2015 15" just sucks and it's much louder with lower battery life
Alexander Karaatanasov I have to disagree that it’s the most powerful MacBook ever.

I honestly love your videos!! You have gotten me into flipping MacBooks!!
What does flipping MacBooks mean?
Jeed Thank you!
@@TheLegoBrickery buying & reselling.
@Zang Good question. I don't flip em myself, just familiar with the slang :)
I agree. This one is my work machine, and I have no plans to replace it for the time being.
How does it run now?
Apple sadly died along with Steve jobs. I so wanted to buy a new macbook pro. But due to the lack of ports and other bad things I hear, makes me not want to purchase a MacBook pro.
This is my problem. I can't upgrade to a newer model because Apple downgraded the upgrade. It's no longer a professional machine so pro must be short for some other word. Maybe profitability.
Yeah idk wtf they where thinking with those four ports they took away the head phone jack because they want to get rid of wires so they contradict themselves when they release somthing New
Get a refurbished 2015 MBP like I did. I love this PRO machine.
I agree
My favorite is the Late-2011 13" MBP (I have this one).
2015 MacBook beats it by a long shot
Me too!!! I'm going to get the 2015 soon though.
This was very well written, just wish I was computer savvy enough to build a model like this. Any reputable places to buy?
Well I like my 2017 13" non touchbar MacBook Pro. It's fast, does all I need it to and wasn't overly expensive. USB C is fast and so univerally adopted that I rarely need adaptors.
I wouldn't say its the greatest but my mid 2009 macbook pro is still running strong. 9 years and still upgradeable and relevant...I think that is impressive. I added RAM and an ssd drive. It runs great.
But one of the greats. I have mid 2010 and it runs great too.
Your videos are so good. Subbed. :)
If you were limited to choose the best 13” MacBook Pro that meet all those criteria’s, which model would you suggest?
adamcdx 2015.
I own the 2012 unibody it is great! I upgraded the ram myself to 16 Gigs for like 65 bucks. The keyboard is satisfying to type on and the i7 quad core is still quite capable even in 2020!
I've been using my Mid 2012 since well 2012... I refuse to buy a machine that I cannot upgrade
@Kidd KARNELIAN unfortunately I don't think there are any upgrade options for the 13" screens. Great deal tho (coming from what I'm used to seeing on the UK market).
What's the model number for the mentioned MacBook Pro?
I got a late 2011 MacBook Pro 15" with 8GB of ram for 90 Bucks. No hard drive included. I already have an ssd so its all good. This thing is in almost mint condition too!
nick parkin that was a steal
mid-2012 (core i7, 2.9 GHz) is hands down the best MacBook Pro ever made.
I upgraded everything in less than two days and it runs faster than my friend's 2017 one.
even if you raid the ssds and put 16 gb ram its not gonna be faster than a 2017
Some of these 15 inch mid-2012 (like the one I have) were customizable with a 1680x1050 resolution screen.
In some ways this older Mac was actually quite a bit ahead of models newer than it. I mean even the bezels are thinner than the subsequent models.
couldnt be happier with late 2013. still daily drive. just replaced battery and one fan
I need help finding the best MacBook I never thought this would be so hard
I just got a unibody 2012 MBP and I've been loving it. Already have Logic installed, been working with final cut pro, and have Parallels desktop to go between windows 10 and high sierra. All while still being a fully capable machine!
Loved the video mid 2012 mbp. I have some upgrading to do ram and new hard drive possibly a new battery as well.
I want a 13 inch or smaller machine mainly for browsing. Which MacBook will be the best and value for money
The late 2011 17 inch i7 2.5Ghz, 16 Ram, 500 SSD, AMD 6770M.
THIS is the MacBook Pro!
Diego Oliveira yeap, Luke smoking crack 17” 2011 beat out 2012 and up models
No usb 3.0 though...
that's look like windows laptop.
SO... that doesn't mean anything.
I have that one. But now its damn slow. Can you point me to a place I can get it to run fast again?
Mid 2014 has a bug which shuts the machine off unless you buy $10 NoCrashMBP app and run it. It's works, but the fan always runs.
Damn that cinematic shots at the end is better than any apple ad lmao 😂😍😍
I agree. Imagine this case with new chips and a mix of modern ports! Drool.
I really love the design of the Touch Bar (2016) models but I'd say the Retina one (2012), I have a feeling with it
This guy reminds me of myself for some strange reason... almost like I'm looking at my future self. He looks like me and talks similar to me (just an older version)
Just realized I have the mid 2015 15 MacBook Pro, and Apple recalled it for battery issue. Shall I do that? The mbp 15 has overheat issue too.
Does anyone have a list of which MacBook pros have a graphics card failure? I want to know cause I’m thinking about buying an older Mac and don’t want to have a graphics defect.
2008 Pre-unibody macbook pro 15+17", 2011 (early and late) 15 and 17", 2012 and early 2013 retina 15". Also some mid 2010 15", but this is more rare
2010 macbook pro 15inch i7 with matte display
My choice is as the same as yours👍2012 Non-Retina MacBook Pro 15 inch is the best Mac Apple has ever made!
Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro: Too old
Me: still using a Late 2009 MacBook
Depends on what you use it for. Many applications and/or websites won't run too well on Core 2 duo
Most ppl seem to know what would be your pick. The 15" non-retina 2012 wow. I didn't expect that.
Do you have the model number for that best MacBook Pro?
I've been saying this about this model since 2012 and haven't bought a new apple device since
I'm getting my new-old MBP 2015 15" tomorrow; 2.8GHz/16GB/256GB (I'll be putting a larger SSD in it).
RIP my 2011 15" i7 - Logic board & GPU went at the same time! Damn you Apple!
me to dude. its such bullshit
I'll take my 2012 MacBook Pro and even my 2011 over any of the new shit any day. Good video.
Thank you so very much if you can help me..,
Cindy Hemstreet Is in the same boat
I totally agree with you! 2012mid Non Retina 15inch is the best!!!
What do you have this spec'd out at? RAM, Storage, etc. Did you replace the optical drive with the SSD?
1:15 that glare tho
Make the same video but with imacs 😍
or Big Macs
Mac Miller died.
can we upgrade the screen to high-rez antiglare screen by ourselves or do we need to take it to an apple store?
You ever find out?
Use to use a MacBook 13 2012 the fat one, but now I use the Macbook 12
Great video! Can you tell me:- the model number / where to find full specs / is 17" model the same apart from screen size / do apple do refurbished models with guarantee? Thanking you in advance. Steven.
My 2013 17 inch is still going strong, love the bigger screen.
How about nowv
15 inch*
How would you say a 17 inch from 2010 or 2011 would do today if upgraded with ram and an ssd?
2011 17" matte screen.
Has been solid ever since!
im planning to buy macbook 2013? Any opinion. I have low budget
Watching this video throught my MacBook Pro Early 2011 in 2019!
I bought a refurbished (new battery + display) 2015 MBP with
dPGU for 1200$. In December 2019, yes! Because it is the last reliable PRO macbook.
Everything from 2016-2018 is just trash. Faulty keyboard and flex cable,
poor battery Whr, pathetic I/O selection, no Magsafe, no SD-port, speaker and T2 problems, trackpad too big (palm rejection meh), touchbar mostly useless, the surface gets scratches much faster, overall too expensive, and they even killed the glowing apple logo... just pathetic. Majority of reviews and users agree.
I have the late 2011 macbook pro 15 inch with the AMD Radeon Graphics card, is this close enough to the 2012 model?
