It is, and you need to grab the cell door that's open, and then look perfectly perpendicular to the wall. Jump forward and if it works, Crane will climb up through the wall and out of bounds.

How did you get such a good shotgun?
The cap is usually 8.9k, but buying guns when you’re low power level (like 2-5) is when ALL guns spawn with more damage for whatever reason. I used a fresh save to acquire these ones and then got a friend to help transfer them to my main save

You need to have the Kuai Dagger (the green knife I have in the video) equipped in your hand, and you get a charge of speed every time you perform a parkour move.

Make sure you've killed everyone in the room, including the viral that spawns outside. Otherwise the checkpoint won't trigger.
@@AussieGG yeah we did and it didnt work but we restarted the heist and when we killed everyone it worked but we failed in the loot room because we didnt make it on time and we had to do the whole heist again

how did he do the lockpick that fast?
Lockpick positions don't reset between runs (unless you quit to menu or leave the island) so you can learn their sweet spot locations in practice runs.

I was trying to beat this and just realized it is not on nightmare but normal. Haha. Well that makes sense now how I can't get even close.
Oh yeah lol, nightmare is entirely different when it comes to running this, I haven’t even gotten sub 3 with it. Best I did was a time of 3:01 on nightmare.

Glitches are allowed in any% speedruns like this. There are also glitchless speedruns which are a different category.

Personally, I'd feel embarrassed to post a video where I used glitches. It's kind of like an NBA player posting videos of himself dunking on a six foot rim and expecting people to be impressed by it.
You're discounting the entire run because of one out of bounds, as if the rest of the run doesn't require any skill.

Glitches has been a staple of speedrunning since the beginning, all the way back to the classic Mario games. Performing the glitches aren't easy, unlike the NBA example you gave.
@@AussieGG Correct, because the way the video is titled implies it's something impressive. Nowhere in the title does it state that a glitch was used. So for me, a newer player, who playing on normal and finishing with around 6 to 6 1/2 minutes remaining on average, sees a video with 2:25 in the title and I watch it because I'm like "wow, how does this person cut four minutes off my time".
Then I watch it and see it's just an exploit in the game.
So:
1. It's clickbait
2. It's meaningless
If this is impressive to you, then congrats, the rest of his run is just repetition. He clearly has played this mode thousands of times. I've played it less than 10. The right thing to do is put "glitch" in the title so newer players don't waste their time watching something that isn't valid.
@@Blackwater06 Except it is valid, as this is the default category for speedrunning. It's not invalid because it offends you, lol. Glitchless category was made afterwards, and is titled and represented that way. A speedrun, by its nature, utilises everything available on hand to the player (except for 3rd party stuff like modding).
Adding glitchless to the title means that it's a speedrun WITHOUT glitches, as glitches are allowed and encouraged by default. If you feel this way about this video, then you feel the same way about speedrunning as a whole, across all games and platforms, old and new. Look at any Resident Evil speedrun, or Mario speedrun, or Halo. I can go on and on and they all use glitches. And I'll reiterate once again - a lot of glitches are hard to do, it doesn't take away from the skill required to do a proper run.
And at the time (before this record was broken), this was an impressive run, as it was the fastetst in the world at that moment. It's not meaningless as not only is it verified and posted on the speedrun.com website, but it's also appreciated by tons of people watching live and when the video itself was uploaded. Stop projecting your own feelings about it as if it's fact.
I believe the record is 2:18 now held by two people at the same time ylyxa and SYZNBRAIN, as this one is outdated and like 4th/5th place now.
@@AussieGG It doesn't offend me, nothing offends me. All you're doing is highlighting why most "speedrunning" is a joke. I understand you don't see it that way, but I do and that's not changing. I'm only interested in people playing a game, and doing things much faster than anyone else, because they got the mechanics down so perfectly that they're doing things only few others can do. Anyone can use a glitch. Old runs like Ninja Gaiden, an immensely difficult game, where people do speed runs and take zero damage during the entire run, without using any glitches. That's a speedrun.

@@Blackwater06 What you think is or isn't speedrunning isn't relevant when it comes to the definition of it.
This just means that you prefer Ninja Gaiden speedruns, rather than Dying Light speedruns. Dying Light speedruns require a lot of mechanical skill, though not as much as Ninja Gaiden, but that's generally because Ninja Gaiden as a whole is much harder then both DL games.
You can apply this logic to any speedrunnable game, where the harder it is, the more experience and skill is required to competently run it. Fromsoftware games are notoriously hard to speedrun, or games like Halo 2, and more.
Just say you don't like Dying Light speedrunning, instead of thinking it isn't speedrunning, because it is.
