Great video, I just taught very similar concepts. The one thing that is very cool and something different I haven’t seen is that first concept of sliding forward over the knee. Definitely something I am going to play with. The posture is very interesting and amount of control looks very valid.
Yes, I really like the approach! This is golden stuff. Even after 20 years of knee passing I found some interesting details in your video. As a great fan of the knee cut, I wonder if you combine these passes with a "a deep knee on the solar plexus"? Esspecially when fighting the knee shield.
some really cool ideas here. i would really like to be able to force this type of position so i can camp them from there. is it a problem for you if the person on the bottom makes a same side frame with their left arm on your right collar? i'm wondering if that could create enough space for the person on bottom to free their left foot and be able to get it to the top player's right shoulder. oss my sensei.
Good question and no I don’t feel it’s really an issue as long as I keep my hip or ribs really close to them they can’t make that space to sneak their foot out on to my hip or anything. The shoulder would be even harder as they would have to lasso first which means kicking all the way through.

Great insights as always!
Thanks so much!

How would you adapt this to no gi?
Grab their thigh instead of their lapel?
