i saw robert at the thursford wurlitzer back in 1986 and i still remember him playing the coronation scot...a true artist, there are too few like him around today
That was a 100% Robert wolfe performance. The Organ sounded superb and never put a foot wrong. Robert was on form and the sounds from the instrument were beautiful. Such melodies and enthusiasm for playing. I know Robert says not much talk and lots of music. That is so true. He is a true ambassador of the Theatre Organ. I first saw him back in the 80s at Thursford and he wowed then. Such a great performer. 👍
Robert Wolfe is still at the top of his game forty plus years on and is one of the worlds best theatre organists! He follows on the Blackpool style made famous by Reginald Dixon. I think you would be hard pressed to better his keyboard skill at this showmans tempo? Its not for everyone but its the Blackpool way of getting those tunes across! Phil Kelsall does too!
Robert is as polished as ever. The organ is wonderful as always. Big applause for the team.
