We’re really pleased you are all enjoying this episode. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we can reopen the Astoria Centre once again and welcome you to experience this wonderful instrument in person. Don’t forget to like and subscribe.
Absolutely everything about your playing is top notch. Arrangements, technique, registrations, musicality, you have it all nailed - and I'm not usually so full of praise. Awesome. Thank you.
I loved the stream, I want to apologise for not making it more clear. The day this was on my internet connection failed during the last few songs. Thank you. By the way, at 32:29, are the trick couplers solo to solo here, rather than GT to SO, as I see the piano on the solo, but hear it trick coupled. Thank you. Thank you for sharing these concerts too.
Pleased you enjoyed the episode, Jacob. What you heard wasn’t the ‘trick couplers’ (which are Great to Solo on this instrument) but Piano Sonnettes. This is a mixture but uses the piano as the ‘rank’. The pitches are 3-1/5 & 2-2/3. Donald specified this function, which we were easily able to accommodate via the Uniflex 4000 control system.
@@AstoriaCentre Ah thank you. I was figuring the UniFlex had been used to switch the couplers to solo to solo since I saw Mr MacKenzie put one on. (Switching couplers to default to solo to solo us popular in the States, so I have grown to expect it. Personally I far far prefer great to solo as you have, and the GT to ACC 2nd touches). Interesting to learn of the piano sonnettes. This is one mixture I finally like. Thank you, my apologies I have not been able to donate to you as I should for enjoying the concerts.
Lovely music
Superb 👏👏👍

Thanks 🙏 I am so happy you have enjoyed the show.
Missed the live stream unfortunately, but have watched since. Very enjoyable. Thanks to Donald MacKenzie and the Astoria team.
Brilliant 👏...Best one in the series so far, in my opinion
I enjoyed that, you played with gusto in the way I like.
Really enjoyed the concert, I've so missed seeing live performances
Very enjoyable, Donald. Did I hear a bit of Stanley Wyllie -type syncopation in 'Ain't Misbehavin' '?
