Shiro is the ROLL master. No Abel player uses the roll to perfection the way he does. Even when he loses, he's implemented the roll several times in perfect spacing.
Shiro and Uryo are beasts. Shiro kind of baffles me though. I've seen him go for Falling Sky in situations where he could've done Ultra and win the round.
Yes he does which is precisely why it doesnt take any more meter. HJ xx FADC costs no meter as you are canceling a super jump into focus attack then dash canceling into ultra
Abel's ultra is harder than its look. You have to input accurately while the opponent curls up in the air in the right position. I saw he missed the ultra many times and I guess that's make he hesitate to do that. This is obviously his weakness.
@FIxt00l Its kinda hard to land an ultra in such a situation like that, you would be caught up with defending yourself, not doing a random ultra and hope for the best.
wow this is the like the 3rd tournament match i've seen from shrio where he doesn't use a single ultra, despite having many opportunities ... is he just on an ultra strike?
Man I love watching Shiro and think he is amazing, but he messes up on his decision making quite often. Man needs to fall in love with his ultra setups because he would have won 3 times as many matches if he would finish people.
You have to super jump cancel the ex seismo before you fadc. So ex seismo, then hit down, up, then focus and dash forward. Just have to time it correctly to not use meter. It's not hard if you practice it.
Great matches. Wow they are both very skilled but Uryo just seemed to be one step ahead by the time it got to the last match. Ive never seen Uryo miss an ULT before though. Usually hes super clutch at throwing in Vipers ULT to take the upperhand like he did in this series. Shiro is a badass Abel though. I havent seen too many Abels that could match up to that.
i think in one of those set-ups he missed the ultra and air grab came out instead i might be wrong though. still shiro is a great player and uryo's mix-ups are oh so deadly great match from top players.
wow shiro droppped his ULT combo 2 times in a row? @ 3:30 - 3:40 never seen him doing this kind of mistake b4. He's such a beast abel sad to see him lose early in the tournament. Uryo is a beast at Viper too tho.
Is it just me or could Shiro have won both of those first two rounds? The first one he could have won by doing an EX wheel kick instead of a regular, and the second by doing his Ultra when he elbow launched.
1:31. Super jump cancel EX hammer, Then dash cancel your super jump. I find that so difficult to pull off during competitive play. Uryo makes it look easy. Viper is soooooooooo deep compared to the other characters!
Yeah... mix up wise. But usage wise he's no where near Viper. No one will take longer to learn. He can't cancel moves without bars like her. He can't super jump cancel normals to hit confirm ultras like her neither. And there's more! But yeah he is pretty deep. Just that Viper takes it to a whole new level!
I've seen him miss that ultra juggle a bunch of times before too, and that was equally disappointing. In the heat of the moment he probably didn't want to risk it... who knows. I feel like in a lot of these "pro" matches there are opportunities for the players to bust out a full ultra on a missed shoryu or something but instead opt for a less damaging combo. /shrug
WTH, in the very end Shiro had the chance to perform the Ultra...Otherwise, great, absolutely perfect zoning from both of them. The difference between zoning and turtling is little, a tiny border, but it exists. For example, worlds best player, so to speak, Daigo, is just an overrated turtle-we have seen him pwned many times by Itabashi and Shiro.
what the f*ck? why does the abel player misses two chances to juggle with the ultras in the end of the first match??? a vary disappointing end after such great play from him...
Now that I think about it, is that Japanese guy shouting over their shoulders, or can the players themselves not hear him? Because that could get seriously annoying. OH MY GOODDDDDDDD HE SAW IT COMING! WHAT FORESIGHT!!!!!! OHHH ITS ALL URYO'S PACE NOW!
awesome matches packed w/lots of quick action
Shiro's little pause after his dash at ~ 1:22 was really interesting and it paid off.
that first round is what you call MAJOR CLUTCH
sick set of matches
Shiro is the ROLL master. No Abel player uses the roll to perfection the way he does. Even when he loses, he's implemented the roll several times in perfect spacing.
very close match. very awesome to watch.
Gotta love the announcer in this.
Wow. Like watching a damn movie. Brilliant stuff.
Gotta save this video to show people who say this game is boring. What a match!
Awsome match!
now this is world class level of gameplay
Amazing match. We can learn a lot from it. For example: how we are never going to be that good.
5:20
Uryo boost-jumps and quick flame kicks like its nothing.
ahh..thx for the info
Abel is also pretty deep.
Shiro and Uryo are beasts.
Shiro kind of baffles me though. I've seen him go for Falling Sky in situations where he could've done Ultra and win the round.
7:45 was godlike reaction, almost Daigo-like
pro CViper players are very quick hands.. so awesome.!
Excellent play from both sides. Did the announcer say something "yomi" at 7:45? It was a very good counter to Shiro's whiff.
My thoughts exactly! Baffled. It almost cost him the round!
Uryo - legendary!
we all must bow down to uryo...the viper god!! XD
ps. This announcer cracks me up to no end. I have no clue what he's saying, but he's so quiet until something big happens, and then he freaks out o_O!
Yes he does which is precisely why it doesnt take any more meter.
HJ xx FADC costs no meter as you are canceling a super jump into focus attack then dash canceling into ultra
I wonder if C viper is moving back up to Top Tier around where Ryu and Balrog are again.
Haha yeah. He also says "okizeme" three or four times.
at 1:32 after he does ground smoke ex punch how does he dash infront without cancel ive tried it at home and i cant do it can anyone explain
7:40 WOW
Abel's ultra is harder than its look. You have to input accurately while the opponent curls up in the air in the right position. I saw he missed the ultra many times and I guess that's make he hesitate to do that. This is obviously his weakness.
Did I see that right? Did Shiro miss out on two Ultras in that first matchup? What happened?! Did the pressure get to him?
-JB
@kamahhl
Maybe he was afraid that the ultra would have trouble hitting on such a small characters like Viper.
@FIxt00l Its kinda hard to land an ultra in such a situation like that, you would be caught up with defending yourself, not doing a random ultra and hope for the best.
7:44 YOMI !!!
Why didnt he do the elbow uppercut into the ultra? he had game ending opportunities. heat of the moment i guess.
Shiro beat Daigo twice Ultra'ing through a fireball o_O
wow this is the like the 3rd tournament match i've seen from shrio where he doesn't use a single ultra, despite having many opportunities ... is he just on an ultra strike?
Goddamnit these commentators go really insane!
WATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Just great, both of them. Maybe Uryo is even more impressive sometimes
My guess is that he messed up his input, he had no EX so regular Skyfall came out.
yeah, japanese announcers make me do that : )
Man I love watching Shiro and think he is amazing, but he messes up on his decision making quite often. Man needs to fall in love with his ultra setups because he would have won 3 times as many matches if he would finish people.
when viper backsahed ultra'd the tornado throw did the announcer say yomi? hahahahha
4:38
"ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Match a pointo."
Oh how hysterical japanese people are trying to speak english.
WHY NO ULTRA?!?!?
Nice games, sad to see the best Abel player still makes mistakes ;/
@monkeydeloofie
i never seen him miss it. Vipers midscreen ultra is harder then that but yet uryo usually goes for it.
3:38 NO ULTRA??? D:

at 1:32 uryo does a meter less EX seismo HJ xx FADC, ultra. that is fucking hard
I don't think that was yomi, I think it was on reaction, Abel's TT has horrendous recovery and it sticks out so easily.
1:31. Super jump cancel EX hammer, Then dash cancel your super jump. I find that so difficult to pull off during competitive play. Uryo makes it look easy. Viper is soooooooooo deep compared to the other characters!
why is he saving the ultra in the last round? he lost becuase he didn't use his ultra, and the other guy did.
shiro lost clear opportunities, he could have won all 3 matches
they're both insane though
Yeah... mix up wise. But usage wise he's no where near Viper. No one will take longer to learn. He can't cancel moves without bars like her. He went for the ultra and messed up the input.
He got too cought up in the moment.
think he tried but it just didnt come out!
the narrator is so funny...
shiro tool the risk of trying a tornado at the end when he could've combo HP to change of direction. I've seen shiro do much better...
WTH, in the very end Shiro had the chance to perform the Ultra...Otherwise, great, absolutely perfect zoning from both of them. The difference between zoning and turtling is little, a tiny border, but it exists. For example, worlds best player, so to speak, Daigo, is just an overrated turtle-we have seen him pwned many times by Itabashi and Shiro.
not sure why shiro didn't ultra when he was able to at the end of game 1 rd 3. He woulda won there, and possibly this match
viper was too close to him. he would've missed
URYO MATCH POINT LMFAO
lucky round 1 for viper.....
A exclamtion poit for the match i guess lol
Plus why the fuck he was ex meter at 6:16
AAAGAHAHGGAAGAGAGHAGAAAAAA!!!!!!!
lol.
lucky match 1 for viper.....
It's not hard. Spend a few hours in training mode and you'll have it down.
what the f*ck? why does the abel player misses two chances to juggle with the ultras in the end of the first match???

I just want to mute the narrator, so annoying
i could beat shiro
