I think the EX Seismo Feint might have been an accident, but the EX Thunder Knuckle certainly wasn't. In my opinion, it looks like he was trying to buy time with the feints so he could confirm where Iyo was going to appear from his teleport, then punish it. The spacing of the EX TK was nearly perfect too, just the right range for Ultra.
there is a difference between mastering a character's skills and winning... it might be harder for Makoto to win a match, but its easier to master her moves and skills. my statement is still valid, Viper is the hardest skill-wise.
@nut026539570 you have to do an instant air burn kick. basically, do a QCB then go to up-forward + mk or rh (for the cross-up) and lk will not cross-up.
@SedoSan I agree, Viper is the hardest technical char 2 master. And even after you master all of her tricks/moves ur still not done. All of the mindgames that come 2 play from even a single feint are simply amazing. No other char has as much options or grants as much satisfaction as her. 50% percent of the people I fight with my Viper reports me as a cheater or unsporty player. I have the stats on my XBL account. But its worth it, cuz she is perfect. :)
both rounds ended soo tyte but the first 1 the sound of the impact of the first kick + the KO sound just makes me go "DAMN" it sound like a shotgun blast xD
WOW! I just watched it again and FZ gets even more props because he picked up on Iyo's pattern. Iyo kept teleporting when FZ done the ground punch. So he Faked a ground punch and bated Iyo into the teleport and punished it with the EX TK! Gamers on my level can spot these things. Watch and see!
Really? i hope 360 players get the pc version i want to play em. I think its also because the game is online and people are experimenting as much as they can. I can tell you for sure that when theres 10 grand or money on the line people play VERY differently like these pro videos you are looking at.
@aldimbog huhu, it's iyo, not, lyo, and yeah dhalsims has some cheap avantage (his range), but, he is totaly free in close range. The teleports-behind-back is a very hard move, if it's not well done ( = if it's not done when your adversaire is doing something and so, cannot react) any dragon-punch-like or normal-defensive-move punish you, and then, you are in close range, which is never good for a dhalsim... and often result to a defeat... (and it's not teleport->ultra, but teleport->super)
Yo gamblerz, i came to watch this video because i kinda knew he was gonna lose. I have a hell of a problem with c viper myself and I have never won against a really good one it is incredibly tough for dhalsim. Trying to think of a strategy to lock her down.
@mikolyyyy Only technical move you need to learn with dhalsim is instant air teleport. other than that all his moves are easy. and mash characters you mean like honda and blanka? unless you're playing pad, you can easily do these moves using the piano method. As a technical character, Viper is the hardest to master period. 1) FFF 2) meterless FADC 3) instant cross-up BK 4) SJC Ultra 5) Seismo xx Seismo pressure 6) Fakes I've been playing viper for 8 months now and I mastered all of these.
hey someone pls ans me. what if i m charging focus atk and viper does the ground smash thing? will it be like a normal hit whereby i will launch a reflex atk n heal back over time?
to do a cross up burning kick all you do is HJ Cancel the burning kick. In order to do that you do the motion for the burning kick then hold uf for about half a sec then push kick.
Guess it's always a huge psychological hit if one pro player perfects another one. A hit to be avoided at all cost. It's not restricted to the pros either :p
that could be true too. i still claim joe as my fave. it's like he started the viper raping in japan. he was first viper player to place #6 in japan's top 20 for about 2 weeks. after that, he lowered in rank but was the top viper still. that's until dashio, FZ and uryo showed up, joe stopped sf4 for a while. cant wait to see him back in action.
@TheGodOfPez actually his dhalsim is pratcicly identical to mine except i have a extra trick or two up my sleve he is probably slightly more patient tho.
there is a trik to doing dhalsims teleport so low to the ground after jumping and also how to do the mid kick into yoga flame. gives lots of people problems. send me a message if you need me to explain how to do them.
@TheDimsh Then you don't know anything about Dhalsim. His damage outputs are low and so is his stamina. You have to play intelligently with Dhalsim to constantly space out your opponent. He requires significantly more skill than most to play at a high level, more so then Ken/Ryu.
Well that makes your judgement even more ridiculously stupid because there was no reason for FZ to attempt an ex cancel (which is what i assume u think he was trying to do) from all the way across the screen. And I doubt someone with such poor judgement has managed to master Vipers combos yet. She's the only character in the basic game that's actualy difficult to use!
3:53 was magical.
It's amazing to me how sophisticated they play this game. Nice match by both of them.
One of the most exciting matches I've seen yet
Wth? 13 years ago you wrote this? Lol
finally some new matches
Probably the best fight I've ever seen.
Wow this C.Viper player blowed my mind. Amazing performance, unmatchable skill with the character.
My kingdom for this C.Viper vs Ryu (Daigo)
What leaderboard are you looking at ? Iyo replay and poogko is on the ps3 version if you actually watch them.
dang, FZ really had to work hard for that win. amazing finish. And Iyo's Dhalsim is the fastest one I've seen so far
I've never seen Iyo's teleports get stuffed so many times. Amazing Viper
Those few last moves at Round 1, where she does the dashing thunder-knuckle and goes straight into her ultra...
FUCKING SICK!!!
I know your comment is really old, but, as a Viper player myself, I think Makoto is the hardest to play (to win).
yeah... is that a high-jump cancel to cross-up off the ground?
wow wow.... viper at a high level is VERY different from what I expected... wow... 5/5
That ending was GDLK! FZ is that dude, and for those wondering Iyo came out of retirement and is playing again.
Shocking conclusion indeed.
I think the EX Seismo Feint might have been an accident, but the EX Thunder Knuckle certainly wasn't.
In my opinion, it looks like he was trying to buy time with the feints so he could confirm where Iyo was going to appear from his teleport, then punish it. The spacing of the EX TK was nearly perfect too, just the right range for Ultra.
iyo is a genius sim player.
is it me or did fz play the best he's ever played in this match? first round feint into ex tk was epic.
prfect round 1
The Japanese unlock the full potentials of everything.
Amazing video... C Viper can be pretty confusing with so many cancels...
great match
respect to FZ..
what perfect
Way too sick.
Genius player... Amen
2:17. God... how did I never come up with that? That's so damn tricky.
there is a difference between mastering a character's skills and winning...
it might be harder for Makoto to win a match, but its easier to master her moves and skills. my statement is still valid, Viper is the hardest skill-wise.
What the fuck!? That Burning kick cross up to super at the end was amazing.
Agreed. I was just saying that in terms of Turteling characters it is something she has at her dispsal! But yeah it is a very small part of her game!
@nut026539570 you have to do an instant air burn kick. basically, do a QCB then go to up-forward + mk or rh (for the cross-up) and lk will not cross-up.
I take my hat off to any viper of that level, she is a tough cookie to crack
props to iyo as well though
@SedoSan I agree, Viper is the hardest technical char 2 master. And even after you master all of her tricks/moves ur still not done. Did anyone notice the earthquake fake at 1:23, Dhalsim tried to tele out but it was a lightning fist instead.
1:25 is AMAZING! =)
@TheGodOfPez
NO DOUBT!!!!!
Holy shit at the first round finisher.
both rounds ended soo tyte but the first 1 the sound of the impact of the first kick + the KO sound just makes me go "DAMN" it sound like a shotgun blast xD
was the last super a l m or h super?
Very nice HCJ Burning Kick into super by FZ. Viper Chicanery is the best kind of chicanery.
Quarter circle back then hold up-forward and hit roundhouse kick.
Wow, that flame kick into super was the shit.
Nice read by FZ at the end of the first round
That Viper rocks, pro dhalsim are hard as hell
Really? i hope 360 players get the pc version i want to play em. I think its also because the game is online and people are experimenting as much as they can. I can tell you for sure that when theres 10 grand or money on the line people play VERY differently like these pro videos you are looking at.
@mintendac Yep lol. Mind games. He thought he would tele behind him and blocked in the wrong direction.
@aldimbog
huhu, it's iyo, not, lyo, and yeah dhalsims has some cheap avantage (his range), but, he is totaly free in close range. @mikolyyyy
other characters like who?
please enlighten me.
Yo gamblerz, i came to watch this video because i kinda knew he was gonna lose. I have a hell of a problem with c viper myself and I have never won against a really good one it is incredibly tough for dhalsim. Trying to think of a strategy to lock her down.
I tottaly forgot that you can combo vipers super after a cross up super. Yays! More wins for me!
Ah. Yes it is pretty hard. But once you get it, she is pretty easy. But I guess that goes for anything you put practice into.
wow what a viper!
@mikolyyyy SMOUSH CHARACTERS!
Not honestly the most complex Viper moves in the world displayed here, but it got the job done.
The end of the last round was a nice reaction though.
Oh man Iyo deserved that perfect
@mikolyyyy
Only technical move you need to learn with dhalsim is instant air teleport. other than that all his moves are easy.
and mash characters you mean like honda and blanka? unless you're playing pad, you can easily do these moves using the piano method.
As a technical character, Viper is the hardest to master period.
1) FFF
2) meterless FADC
3) instant cross-up BK
4) SJC Ultra
5) Seismo xx Seismo pressure
6) Fakes
I've been playing viper for 8 months now and I mastered all of these.
Very nice. Hard for Dhalsim to comeback if the other person starts playing defensively.
got to love 1:57
Different how? They play very good/safe/tournament-ish.
holy shit, what a finish
i need to find out how to do that burning kick crossup..anyone got any tips?
haha I love that trick at 2.00
thats the kind of trick that only works in a higher-level match
yogaaaaaaaaAAAAA~~ CATASTROPHE!!!!
hey someone pls ans me. what if i m charging focus atk and viper does the ground smash thing? will it be like a normal hit whereby i will launch a reflex atk n heal back over time?
@TheDimsh What's your PSN? I am on the PS3, I'm not exactly great but I work with Zangief, sometimes Ibuki.
when did he retire? ;(
so glad that viper won
to do a cross up burning kick all you do is HJ Cancel the burning kick. In order to do that you do the motion for the burning kick then hold uf for about half a sec then push kick.
Guess it's always a huge psychological hit if one pro player perfects another one. A hit to be avoided at all cost. It's not restricted to the pros either :p
I agree as I main Viper. ; ) Feels much better spamming seismo hjc seismos and instant BKs than hados.
how dude?
YOOOOGAAAAAAA
The C.Viper was trying everything in the book not to get perfected
Iyo did well...but wow that is some good shit from FZ...
that could be true too. i still claim joe as my fave. it's like he started the viper raping in japan. he was first viper player to place #6 in japan's top 20 for about 2 weeks. after that, he lowered in rank but was the top viper still. that's until dashio, FZ and uryo showed up, joe stopped sf4 for a while. cant wait to see him back in action.
lol i have fun online, and it became a habit to not play it safe very agressive.
duuuude .. FZ read that dahlsim like a book round 3
@ZRyuKageZ You absorb it. Why don't you just try it in training mode?
@TheGodOfPez
actually his dhalsim is pratcicly identical to mine except i have a extra trick or two up my sleve he is probably slightly more patient tho.
It's disgusting that someone could think that fast. Especially against Iyo's Dhalsim!
actually the more it hink about it the less it hink it was an accident. he feinted right before it. he baited iyo into it
"What a shocking conclusion!" Oh i c wut u did ther mr. commentator.
fucking awesome finish1!!!
1:23-1:31
Whoa, didn't think that would happen.
@tr1tan that comment was a while ago i dont think viper takes that much skill any more after using her. I think other characters require more skill
@mikolyyyy
meh, if only holding back is hard, then i guess ya, probably its ur problem.
but i think for most people its viper the hardest.
Holy shit that viper must be slowing down time or something.
But besides that what a match
rly nice viper, flashy ending :)
epic viper
spamming with viper takes a lot of skil
oh cool. my ps3 yellow lighted so i have been spending time learning new techniques in sf4.
dis dhalsim made me slap myself
YOGAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! xD
Erm nah mate! You obviously haven't tried using C. Viper yet. That ex tk is a major part of her game. Of course it wasn't an accident
@mikolyyyy anything with viper takes skill
shes the hardest character in the game to play
look up joe c viper nad daisho those are some good players
@nut026539570 highjump before the burning kick.. just do it really fast, works for me
there is a trik to doing dhalsims teleport so low to the ground after jumping and also how to do the mid kick into yoga flame.
gives lots of people problems.
send me a message if you need me to explain how to do them.

It was only one round. IF they played more than one round then the outcome could have been different. Iyo still played well though.
lol kenuty this is gamblerz
Well that makes your judgement even more ridiculously stupid because there was no reason for FZ to attempt an ex cancel (which is what i assume u think he was trying to do) from all the way across the screen.
