I'm astounded nobody has commented on how flippantly Ketheric orders the deaths of the goblins in this version of his introduction. Unlike the version where Minthara is dead and he makes more of a spectacle of the goblin's execution, here it's like he's just ordering the trash to be taken out or a pest to be swatted with a casual aside.
nah. he has quite literally the same dialogue in my playthrough where Minthara is dead. he slays the one who threw the halberd, and then tells Z'rell to dispose of them as she sees fit, before passing the burden to the player. I likewise spared them.

Bizarrely so. I can understand a hobgoblin or a bugbear, but a goblin? She's maybe as strong as a little girl of the same height. She couldn't even lift that axe let alone throw it that hard.

I believe you can recruit her by *ignoring* the grove quest line. Just rush to the Githyanki area (with the crèche), the grove will be sealed, and since you didn't killed her you should see this cutscene when arriving at Moonrise towers. The tiefflings are dead tho
Ketheric isn't a real true soul so the tadpole power can't work on him. The power only works on people who are infected, so even a completely ordinary person would be immune to it the way he is.
I've just reached this exact spot and well my playthrough is mad different but after watching this I realized I stumbled across these 3 dead goblins right there and I was like "this is random". Nope, this explains that, lol love this game.
I never visited goblin camp, never saw here before, if you don't kill her in goblin camp she will fail to find the artifact and you will see the trial cutscene once you arrive to Moonrise Tower as far as i know.
Interesting fact, On choice 4 of trying to force your will on Ketheric even if you cheat your choice to be a critical success it will still act like you failed. :3 lol Something I'm interested in doing is some people say there is content in act 2 about being a shar worshipper which was taken out for story related reasons. But there is a mod to enable it and I'm curious to see if it allows you to be immune to the shadows and what dialog shows up if any. Also I hope they fix mintharas romance...
@@kingfisher6552 Killing Balthazar doesn't make the Tower hostile. I explored Temple of Shar first and only then came to the Moon Towers. It is even stated in dialogue and notes that connection was lost to him as Balthazar had no eye of the Absolute around.
Doesn't this mean that since that guy doesn't have a mind flayer parasite he's not a true soul of the absolute since you need a mind flayer parasite to hear the absolute will
the true souls are something like the Three Chosen's lieutenants. The Three Chosen themselves are not infected with parasites, as the whole "Absolute cult" is a conspiracy of their own making
Well. . He's supposed to be tired of that trial since he has no patience to deal with that. Before triggering the scene you can hear him being pissed off as to know why he had been called. I would have 0 enthusiasm too if I had been called for things I consider wasting my time.

@@AzriusN There are limits to how that is works. A goblin can't roll for "pick up mountain range and throw it" and do it with a natural 20.

He waits for you upstairs, to kill or recruit the Nightsong, you have to kill Balthazar which makes the tower hostile.
