Yep i found this out myself due to the same exact reason lmao. I only stumbled upon him because I wanted to unlock the waypoint for later, and seeing there was an unexpected surprise. Luckily I'd saved before and had Additional Enemies mod, which adds enemies in that area, preventing him from spawning. I just killed the enemies away from his spawn point and avoided him successfully 😁
In my first playthrough he spawned in the middle of my battle with goblins in their camp, after I made the whole camp hostile by bringing Halsin out with me. I had chased a goblin warlock up into the rafters and shoved him down to his death right before Raphael interrupted the battle with his appearance. I assumed Raphael was that particular warlock's patron.
There is easier way without killing Mizora. You just recruit Karlach right before going to Mountain Pass while killing Will and letting Withers keep him. Go straight to act 2 and then come back to finish mountain pass. Act 3 Mizora and Will quests works as usual.
Simpler method, kill wyll (not with tav) before long resting, revive with withers. Steal back your gold. Once mizora is captured at moonrise you no longer have to do this and wyll has no horns.
The problem is, if you used that trick to keep Wyll without Horns, think of act 3. In the end he will not step up for Karlach in the end and Karlach will either have to die or become a Mindflayer. I tested it like 3 months ago myself. It doesn't matter if you recruit Wyll after Karlach or before. We key is, that he remains human and then has no reason to become the Blade of Avernus. He will remain the Blade of Frontiers in act 3. That is what happened to me at least. So...I rather recommend using a mod than messing up your game like this. Check out the Wyll's Mirror, which only makes him look still human even while being a devil. Or if you like the horns, Wyll's devil Form Mod (makes him more look like a tiefling) may be the right thing for you for example. ;)
I used your workaround to have the robe and Karlach. But... At the party with tieflings though, Wyll was sad he killed Karlach and Karlach was acting like in the "Wyll is so cool, he beleived me and told Mizora to GTFO". Then I moved to a different playthrough and returned to this one after several updates. Wyll had horns and the game proceeded as usual after siding with Karlach. It's easier to simply use Minthara's (or maybe any?) lute to call the drider, kill him and the cultists and free the pixie. She may be a little nasty, bo her blessing is way more useful than a lantern.
Also, while Wyll looks human everyone act like he looks like a devil when we used the old method!!! It was funny people were surprised and asking him what happened to him whne he still looks human.
I like to imagine he just accidentally wound up in the Mississippi delta and they are just really racist Wyll: *What do you mean what happened to me?* _I'm just black!!!_ 😆
When I first heard the pixie I was so confused why my tav kept saying something in a different voice. After a maddening hour wandering around looking for the source of the sound I realized it was in my pocket.
I think to each their own. I also like the horns, but some people don't. I think that when Larian decides to patch *this* out, they should also include a unique glamour ability for Wyll that makes him appear like he doesn't have horns, but maybe include some flavor text that says it can only hide their existence from others - for Wyll, they are still very much real and still very heavy.
They are ugly. Consider this. If you grew horns and everyone around you either knows or has an idea that you are.. In fact. A devil and possibly targeted for death.
You may be able to enter turn based combat and kill Mizora before she can heal herself, especially if you have the no party limit mod. That's how I killed the dryder without initiating a battle.
Mizora does not "heal herself" like other characters may. She has the Zariel's Protection condition, which makes her disappear to the hells as soon as anyone attacks her and then return after one minute at full HP. Turn based mode does not help. Larger party sizes don't help. You'd have to deal more than enough damage to kill her in one stroke to have any hope.

Also works if you recruit Karlach and immediatemy kill wyll at camp. You give his body to Wither and progress through the story. Mizora won't trigger you don't need to kill her. Downside is you either recruit Karlach by the end of act 1 ou go through all act 1 with a dead Wyll if you rather play with Karlach. Bonus side is that their storyline is left untouched. You also can't get Wyll's rapier: Mizora's pod will just be broken and empty. Wyll still acts as though he's been given the mission to rescue Mizora in Act 2, even though she's dead.

I am doing a playthrough NOW and discovered you can get without horns for also killing Karlach with Wyll in the group. I don't know for sure if that is how it was before, cause I was justing testing this for fun, but I am on Act 3 now and he still has no horns.
HORNLESS WYLL WITH KARLACH WITHOUT KILLING MIZORA You can get hornless wyll by don't let him sleep a night alive during the act 1. He will be magically allive while you cross from act 1 to act 2 mizora will be at you camp but you can still kill wyll before going to bed and aftee that you can just play normally in act 2 and the next thing about mizora will be the quest that she gives you. This cut some of the endings options at least one and to me seems like if the character is missing something maybe because he either have the lines about his punishment or about killing karlach. You can still doing everything normally my only bug if it's a bug at all maybe is me just misshearing but my durge character commonly will say something like "I have many things on my mind including wyll in it" or maybe is will idk. If is your first run I will recommend to keep the horns, to fits better with is character development and in my opinion can improved a lot the ending 😅
Oh, interesting! I wonder if this can work if you're playing as Karlach main, or if you have to be someone not involved in the mess to not trigger cut scenes.
Ты можешь попасть на склад со взрывчаткой не тратя ячейку заклинаний. Надо пройти чуть правее и перепрыгнуть через обрыв в комнату жрицы (8 силы достаточно)
So what’s the contractual language around transfer of ownership…is Wyll in her last will and testament? Do all of her souls get transferred to another demon? Wouldn’t a demon have a protection scheme to ensure if harm comes to them all of their owned souls are forfeit? I guess the arrogance of these demons leads them to believe that wouldn’t be necessary…but after the trail of havoc I wreaked through these demons, seems prudent.
well for some reason, everything was going fine, until i reached act 2, then i keep getting the conversation about having to rescue the asset in moonrise and when i tried to load a safe i had whit this wyll he now suddenly transforms in to demon wyll all the time so aparently i cant use the safe/load stuff many times because eventually the game corrects itself
PSA: DO NOT KILL MIZORA! Her cut scene where she transforms Wyll won’t trigger if you simply kill him before going to the monastery, but make sure you clear up all of act one first. You can either wait to pick up karlach until you’re headed there, or count your long rest. There are two things that will take priority over Mizora: trifling party after saving the grove, and your first visit from your guardian (second visit does not take priority so if you want that cutscene you need to recruit karlach after it.) when will revives after Mizora shows up in your camp, there is a chance his camp clothes and armor will be swapped, but you can easily fix this. You can adjust this as a visual setting on their character sheet. Keeping Mizora alive allows everything else in the game to function properly. Bonus tip; if you teleport back to the main area of act one after clearing the crèche (you have to specifically be inside the crèche for this to work every time) you can teleport back to the grymforge and go up the lift to avoid long resting and keep the morning glory and bless buffs from the dawn crest and your guardian.
Recruit Wyll, kill him, ask withers to look after him...recruit karlach.. play game as normal... eventually a frozen mizoram and wyll will appear in camp... ignore till act two when mizora tells about devil needs help.... Wyll is still normal in act3.. just went out on date with karlach... I do miss out on robe and other equip rewards
Was trying this, but due to reasons abandoned it, but had already done the "kill Wyll in camp" bit. Since I don't find Wyll that interesting, and still undecided to still maybe go through with this option, I left Wyll dead in camp all the way to act 2. Then in act 2 I suddenly notice him alive again in camp, without ever getting the Mizora interaction, game basically skipped it due to Wyll being dead I guess. Didn't need to kill Mizora and did get all the other Mizora interactions afterwards. And Wyll never got his horns.
i wonder if you get a free pass to the city if wyll have no horns, becaue they dont recognize hi beacause of the horns originally and dont let you enter in act 3
Hornless Wyll and no Mizora to give him his powers. How does that affect that and that nullifies the pact? How does that affect that? Anybody think about those things? How does that affect the endgame?
I got hornless Wyll with my 1st try. I played with friend coop and i got Karlah in control, while he gets Wyll. Cutscene when he is transform into demon didnt triger cos game didnt see them both in same party...
So no cool rapier from Mizora in act 2, I guess. Do we know what happens with (Act 3 spoilers) Wyll's father in act 3 though? We know that if you visit the prison before Mizora's offer, we find him dead and she offers instead to revive him. Is he just dead in this scenario with no way to get him back?
This is my default play through. You are not obligated to be evil when playing dark urge. You play it normally and resist the evil. However if you want to save alfira the tiefling bard you have to save before every long rest, and on the one where she comes to join your camp load the save back, knock her out, go back to camp and long rest. You will kill some other innocent person other than her unfortunately but she will be alive and it's a better alternative than killing her
Oh I thought you said not raid the Grove. You cannot save dammon and also raid the Grove to my knowledge. The only way this might happen is if you knock him out before the fight or during so no one kills him. Then maybe
so does the game still treat wyll as if he has horns tho, like for example when you get to baldurs gate, do people recognize him as duke ravenguards son, or do the npcs still call him a demon?
I once had Raphael spawn right in the middle of combat with the Goblins in their camp. This was my first playthrough. My Tav was in Priestess Gut's chambers while the rest of my party had just left the warg pit with Halsin, making the whole camp hostile. They chased a couple goblins up into the rafters. My Spore Druid Shadowheart was standing on one rafter and used Thorn whip to pull the Warlock from another rafter towards her to make him fall to his death. Raphael interrupted the battle as soon as that warlock died. I assumed Raphael was his patron, and that seeing us kill him made him think we'd make good replacements.
@@magister343 the rafters is one place he can spawn for sure, I had it happen out of combat in the corner with the breakable wall that is an alternative entrance
It's basically impossible to kill a greater deity like Shar or Mystra unless you're a god yourself. Otherwise Shar would be already dead roughly eleventy bajillion times over.
Is there any drawbacks to this? like him losing his father cuz she knows where and how to get him out...i feel like this will permanantly bug out his questline unless she reappears in act 2
This is a great way of getting rid pf her as i hated her personally but i wouldnt recommended it as the tiffling leave after you go into act 2 and then you get no party celebrations so i wouldnt recommended it if you need to talk to the tifflings at all after saving halsin

But Gg for your finding, as the gnomes would say « gunpowder solves everything »
I am doing a playthrough NOW and discovered you can get without horns for also killing Karlach with Wyll in the group. I don't know for sure if that is how it was before, cause I was justing testing this for fun, but I am on Act 3 now and he still has no horns.
HORNLESS WYLL WITH KARLACH WITHOUT KILLING MIZORA
You can get hornless wyll by don't let him sleep a night alive during the act 1.
The line you are looking for is: "I have a lot on my mind... and, well, in it" referencing the tadpole. It is a line for both durge and tav.
@@calamitaraand Wyll in it is wild 😂
Oh, interesting! I wonder if this can work if you're playing as Karlach main, or if you have to be someone not involved in the mess to not trigger cut scenes.
Ты можешь попасть на склад со взрывчаткой не тратя ячейку заклинаний. Надо пройти чуть правее и перепрыгнуть через обрыв в комнату жрицы (8 силы достаточно)
I had Raphael trigger in the underdark in my last playthrough! That happen to anyone else?
So what’s the contractual language around transfer of ownership…is Wyll in her last will and testament? Do all of her souls get transferred to another demon? Wouldn’t a demon have a protection scheme to ensure if harm comes to them all of their owned souls are forfeit? I guess the arrogance of these demons leads them to believe that wouldn’t be necessary…but after the trail of havoc I wreaked through these demons, seems prudent.
Raphael also appears in the Selunite outpost
well for some reason, everything was going fine, until i reached act 2, then i keep getting the conversation about having to rescue the asset in moonrise and when i tried to load a safe i had whit this wyll he now suddenly transforms in to demon wyll all the time so aparently i cant use the safe/load stuff many times because eventually the game corrects itself
Ever got a problem in BG3? The answer is always barrelmancy
I read "Homeless Wyll" and was confused.
Indeed, he is x)
@@alyonamironova7290 Adventurers are at home on the road, they would say.
Very cool video! Too bad you miss on the rapier at the end of act 2, but I never use it anyway
I tried this, but Scratch turns hostile when I kill her and Wyll kills him... wtf!
Hornless Wyll and no Mizora to give him his powers. How does that affect that and that nullifies the pact? How does that affect that? Anybody think about those things? How does that affect the endgame?
Wow, that's quite a few steps. I'm going to have to watch this later
so basicly: barrelmancy...everything can be solved with a bit of BOOM
Could you kill her in camp by one shoting her with lightning god build so she doesn't get time to heal?
Thanks finally without horns
You can use command drop to get the lantern
What if you shoot her with arrows of illmatter (or whatever they’re called 😂)?
"Guys, did he just butcher Wyll? Why are we following him again?"
because it's all good so long as he doesn't butcher Scratch
Raphael also spawns in the Selunite Underdark entrance
Raphael has spawned for me just outside the grove (on the path to Alfira so technically in the grove?).
just curious but if you use this method, what will happen in act 3?
I got hornless Wyll with my 1st try. I played with friend coop and i got Karlah in control, while he gets Wyll. Cutscene when he is transform into demon didnt triger cos game didnt see them both in same party...
So no cool rapier from Mizora in act 2, I guess.
Do we know what happens with (Act 3 spoilers)
Wyll's father in act 3 though? We know that if you visit the prison before Mizora's offer, we find him dead and she offers instead to revive him. Is he just dead in this scenario with no way to get him back?
The best way is to kill wyll after recruiting karlach and then once your either in the underdark or mountainpass revive him
Implaying Dark Urge, is there any way to ..... 1.save the tieflings (Daemon ) , 2. Recruit Minthara, 3. Raid the Grove?
Then maybe
You can also recruit minthara without raiding the Grove you just have to knock her out... if for some reason you weren't aware
It is not necessary to kill Mizora, just make sure Wyll is dead before each Long Rest until Act II is reached.
Any implications for act 3? I remember I killed Mizora once in act 3 by the 0 int trick and Wyll became permanently hostile.
so does the game still treat wyll as if he has horns tho, like for example when you get to baldurs gate, do people recognize him as duke ravenguards son, or do the npcs still call him a demon?
I love how people have, at several points, found loopholes in Mizora's bullshit.
I once had Rahfel spawn to me right in the middle of the Grove.
So you cant get the robe and karlach anymore, correct?
Afraid so.
I personally got him in underdark (in side selune temple) 1:17
In this method, Was she in the Mindflayer incubation pod in the Illithid colony after the First Kethereic Fight?
that would be how you really tell.
Is it possible to save Arabella's parents?
I think only if you cause arabella's death, they just aren't in the medical beds in act 2.
Oh, so Mizora doesn't have to stay exclusively on my post-canon hit list (this list includes Zariel, the Dead 3, Shar, Vlaakith and Mystra)
It's basically impossible to kill a greater deity like Shar or Mystra unless you're a god yourself. Otherwise Shar would be already dead roughly eleventy bajillion times over.
what about act 3?
They patched it again. You can't kill Mizora without starting a fight in camp you can't run from.
Or just command drop.. and you can just grab the moon lantern...
i wanna comment that Raphael spawns in the underdark too
Is there any drawbacks to this? like him losing his father cuz she knows where and how to get him out...i feel like this will permanantly bug out his questline unless she reappears in act 2
This is a great way of getting rid pf her as i hated her personally but i wouldnt recommended it as the tiffling leave after you go into act 2 and then you get no party celebrations so i wouldnt recommended it if you need to talk to the tifflings at all after saving halsin
Man that's ingenious. I just use mods and cheat engine to get what I want with this game, more simple lol
Sorry, it doesnt work - i tried it with four and six gun powder barrels around her, and she just healed herself - i guess Larion saw your video and fixed as of now aug 22 2024! LOL! Ill have to live another play through with Mizora, but its fun, shes fun and unpredictable!!!
This looks like a ton of work 😳 not sure if hornless Wyll is worth it...
I imagine you can kill Mizora without the barrels by casting silence so she can't heal herself, but maybe that heal is not magical, dunno.
It doen't work, at least with no mods
Naw the previous exploit was worth it because you got both things with no downsides, with this method not only will wylls quest fail to complete you will also miss out on all his quests and quest rewards. In my opinion its not worth doing.
my Hero ^^
Kinda feel bad for Karliss in this game.
Hm. In Act III if I hit her she disperses. Comes back later. But Act I she actually can die? Interesting…when in doubt, firewine and smoke powder barrels 😂
Rafael also can spawn on the way to Sirens.
Raphael also spawns in the selunite outpost in the underdark
I want the robes, not an unhorny wyll
I'd rather keep Mizora alive to get the cambion in Act 2, but still hats off for finding a way to not turn Wyl into a Devil
why would you kill the best girl in the game ;_;
I'm replaying 1:18 at 2x speed.
Honestly, if i have to go through all this just to get hornless Wyll, then sorry Karlach. Looks like Tavs gonna be the only tiefling in the camp 🤷🏻
What the hell...? I'd MUCH rather have Karlach in my camp than Will. Dude's annoying AF.
@@arekpetrosian4965 true, and useless also x) No help during playthrough and one of the hardest quest with his father and contract. Also loves getting damage from anything, bruh.
@@alyonamironova7290 Glad I'm not the only who sees how useless and annoying he is. LOL
@@arekpetrosian4965
He mainly just annoyed me with his comments about being a devil.
I play mostly Tiefling… and I’m like… wow… okay Wyll… XD He low key a bit racist to Teiflings. Haha.
I just keep him at camp basically, I might bring him for his story stuff but otherwise I keep him at camp.
@@XFizzlepop-Berrytwist I've done playthroughs where I play Warlock, which means I don't need him, and other times I just find him too self-righteous and self-pitying. Like...dude...YOU made a deal with an actual demon. What did you think was going to happen? And yeah...he's more than a touch racist. One time, he died during a fight, and I was like..."Yeah, not worth the scroll to rez him", and left him dead. LOL
she doesnt spawn at the entrance of moonrise, she is down below trapped.
also, she shows up randomly in camp, not at moonrise towers.
i am taking this entire "guide" with the biggest grain of salt
