- Chance Hymas and Jo Shimoda are now the 250 riders for Honda HRC, and the team has taken lessons from the big run of success for Jett and Hunter Lawrence in the class and then added updates for the CRF250R for 2024. Hymas' mechanic Thomas Harris tells Kris Keefer what this bike is all about. What gear does Hymas like to use the most? How different is the bike from supercross to motocross? That and much more right here.

Thomas is a very hard worker, happy for him
Was just watching Loretta's from last year or the year before I think it was as they are replaying on MAVTV and Chance was racing there. Now less than a year later, factory ride for Honda. The kid has definitely worked hard for it and wishing nothing but the best. Such a brutal sport to get to this level and there are another 100 per Chance that have worked just as hard but don't get a ride for one reason or another. #48 on the brake cap reservoir, wow now that's some factory bling! :-)
Yeah that’s a few years ago now not last year, he was already riding for Honda last season but got injured. Either way still a good job
Love these videos please do more
Awaiting the Hymas jersey I'm receiving that was worn at Nashville supercross. Gonna be sick. Plus Hymas killing it outdoors
Keep 'em coming, Kris!!!!! Great feature.
Good stuff, thanks Keef
If it’s not to hide stuff that bends the rules then all the bike secrets are dumb. Honda could know everything about star bikes and star could know everything about Honda and it would do nothing. The same riders would still be up front
Honda HRC CRF 250R ❤️🫶🏼
Can someone tell me what he means by “races” when talking about offsets and the mechanic doesn’t want to answer?
Head stem bearing races. Can adjust the pitch angle of the front end without adjusting triple clamp offsets
Who’s going to use this information they keep secret, against them. I don’t really get it and as someone who was in the military for a long time and had to keep a lot of things to myself…it looks silly
At this point all the bikes are fast I don't get why they're so secretive star Yamaha the bikes are fast cuz that reverse engine the way the intake comes into the bike makes a monster difference
I watched half of this and gave up. What's the point of a video that tells us nothing about the bike. I get why they won't tell us anything but it's a pointless exercise doing the video.
The deegan one is the rough one. He doesn't say anything
It’s a factory bike, they can’t tell you much about the bike anyways. No point in only talking about the bike, the video would have been 1 minute long if that was the case
What exactly did you expect to hear about the bike?
@michaelhicks5494 It not allowed to be a factory bike. No parts are allowed that can't be purchased by the general public.
@JordanEmede_376 Gear ratios. Compression ratio and piston type. Conrod and crank. Camshafts. What type of clutch. ECM changes. Frame modification. He asked most of these questions and got nothing.

Thanks Keef! Love these technical videos with the bike and mechanic , keep 'em coming 👍
These are great videos!! I love the nuts and bolts questions. Way better than just the rider interviews. With the generic answers and questions.
Love these!
You’re rundown’s on the factory equipment flows like Jet Lawrence on the track ❤🙏
What's the swingarm measurement?
Raced off-road with Tommy growing up. He’s a bad ass!!
Is it just me or does the Honda bearly have a seat…
What ever happened to Matt LeBlanch(sp)? Was he a bust after getting on big bikes?
He got dropped by Star and I think he's done racing
I think factory racers should ride the same bikes as we the consumers have to buy...stock production bikes, it would level the playing field for the low budget racer.Aftermarket parts would still be available for all but none of that secret factory bologna they do to bikes nowdays.
Nope, this is the big show. Best riders, best bikes. You have already proven yourself on production stuff by the time you get to this level. If you can't hack it, stay home.
Those exotic factory parts also help the industry forward. They’ll probably end up being available for us simpletons in future.
that would be extremely dangerous...some of those factory parts will end up on production bikes a couple years down the road...
