- Still one of the most talked about one off rides of all-time, Jeffrey Herlings came over to the AMA Pro Motocross Championship for the final round of the series in 2017 to try his hand at a Pro Motocross National. He walked into a conclusion of a title fight between Eli Tomac and Marvin Musquin where Tomac was perhaps managing to win the title at the Ironman National, but in this first moto of the day, Herlings and Tomac ended up together out front battling for the lead before Tomac ended up going down. That left a clear path for Herlings to lead every single lap of his Pro Motocross debut and take a head turning first moto victory. Check out how it happened!

Luckily for outdoor field, Herlings in 2017 was slower than in 2018. In 2021 he had not yet completely regained his level, although his comeback in Mantova 1 moto 1 is still one of the most insane things I have seen in recent years.
I still think that if he finds his level again, even 2021 Jett would have very hard times to beat him
I was in Mantova in 2021 Herlings dominated hands down.. But he s averaging he deserved more.

Credo che Herlings abbia dimostrato in questa competizione, di essere paragonabile per velocità alla stregua di Ricki Carmichael, James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto, lo stesso Ely Tomac. Questo nel video è il 2017, in seguito ancora, se non fosse incappato in rovinose cadute con conseguenze fisiche disastrose, avrebbe potuto certamente vincere numerosi altri titoli mondiali. Lo stesso Roger de Coster, lo ha considerato il più veloce pilota di out door. Vedetevi anche la seconda manche di questo Iron Man del 2017, ne trarrete le Vostre conclusioni. Ciao a tutti.
People always say they want to see a Herlings V.S. Tomac one on one race. But I want to see a Herlings V.S. Tomac V.S. Webb race. It seems like everyone forgets how Webb beat Herlings straight up before, granted they were still on 250s, but he beat him. Plus I think it was 2015 MxGP of America at Glen Helen, Webb gave Febvre a run for his money. That was his first time racing a 450 professionally. I think Webb will suprise people during outdoors now that he is back on a Star 450 rather than that crappy Monster Energy Chapparal Yamaha.
They clearly seen the video that kiwi guy made. It was epic but it was copyrighted. 2 million views in a month. It was so well narrated and entertaining. Gave a different narrative to to what USA would like to see.

why does this channel always post the less entertaining Moto of that specific day. Actually disappointing in this specific race everyone knows the 2nd Moto win is better. not hating just be better whoever is choosing the races
They will all get posted. This was Herlings first moto, so technically a bigger milestone and the only one that has solid coverage of him battling with Eli (even if only for a few laps) which is what everyone wants/wanted to see. Moto 2 will also be up here soon, don't worry!

Herlings knew Eli was never going to take a chance of throwing away his chip by going all out , Herlings should have raced Eli at the very start of the season . Smart guy

@@DouweEgbert 😂😂 👌 they like to pretend they never happened mate. Raced each other 7 times herlings beat him 6 and was chasing him down after bad start in one tomac won, but just run out of time.
