I get so excited when I see you have a new vid. Bit bummed it wasn't a nice spot. Tracey (Australia)

Awwww thanks Tracey. The spot wasn't horrible but the attitude wasn't needed. Although the trails weren't worth the time. So many other places to go, no need to be treated like crap.

Interested in the logistics of taking your horses from state to state. Many require a livestock inspection upon entering. Have you had any problems with that since you are full time and how do you maintain your coggins and health certificates?

We generally Google search and call around for a vet when we need our papers redone. We have never had an issue in any state with our paperwork

Looks like the trails were for ATV

No. The rangers used a big tractor to move debris or whatever they were doing. We had them pass us on the trail. Good thing our horses are traffic safe. But boy did they make a total mess of the trails.

I'm glad you said it wasn't for you, I live hear. An 99% of everything you said in this vid was wrong. We have some problems here that the ranger has had to deal with lately. The pool in the campground is a swale for drainage, you are in a swamp after all. An we camp there, an on the other side in the winter when its alot drier. The gun range you are referring to is our county run gun range, thats also in use by our local L.E.O's, but its over a mile an a half away to the west. A very safe range thats fully staffed with trained Range Officers at all times. The tracks are that were made by tractors doing mowing an making fire breaks for prescribed burns, that we do when conditions are right for invasive weed control. This is the real Florida, not Disney, an the ranger is correct, its about preserving the wildlife. I think the rules are posted on the info boards that are in the park. An obviously you didn't go to the west side equestrian center, just north of Fellsmere Fl., there is two sides to the preserve, the one you were at, a lot of us take an evening ride thru the park to observe the wildlife cause its alot closer to get to than the west side for a quick ride. Spring an summer is our rainey season, so all ground will be soft in the outlying areas. There are RV parks here that you could have parked at, an boarded your horse at a boarding facility here, then taken trail rides when you wanted. I don't think making a disparaging video was called for about us, maybe more homework could have been done on your part, as the office has people there that answer calls. Just for the record the reason its for wildlife preservation is because we make it home for deer, hogs, turtles, snakes, birds including bald eagles, foxs, coyote, panthers, bears, alligators, crocodiles, you name it we have it, even including manatees in the Sebastian River. An we even have an observation area for counting them in the preserve, so maybe you mite want to do more homework an come back in the cooler months of winter an enjoy it, then make a video of the place from a different point of view. I felt this was a very narrow minded take on one of the last remaining parts of Florida that can't be turned into a concrete jungle. An we also have seven other preserves here that can't be built on here either in I. R. C.

Well William as we said this is our opinion. I know the world has become more and more against people that have one. Well showed what we seen when we were there, so others can make the decision on their own as to whether it not they want to go. Now as for drier in the winter, we were there for 1 week at the end of February 2024. It was the only place along our route before our booked site near Daytona for bike week. Obviously you didn't do you homework in us to know that we don't stay in one area very long so boarding horses won't be a feasible option. Secondly we live very minimally so we can do what we do. As for the shooting range I'm glad you are knowledgeable to inform me it's run by the rangers, which in turn makes my statement more valid. It's a non stop noise of fireworks that the horse campers have to listen to on a daily basis. I'm sure the deer and wildlife are use to it though. Your comment of us not being one the west side equestrian center is confusing as you stated you live there so I would think by the video you would know exactly where we are. As for both the horse camps are on the east side of the interstate. Story book being more North than ranch camp. But I'm sure you already know that. Maybe since your so knowledgeable about the park you can talk to them and have them clarify in they're website No RV's allowed. I'm sure we are not the only people that travel full time with horses that have an RV and horse trailer. So once again the video states our opinion and if you did your research you would know we travel south only in the winter. So if winter is drier there then I sure wouldn't want to go back again in the spring or fall. Not that we would anyway.

Well I hear you, I thought I made perfect sense in my response, guess not. Happy trails to you, to bad you chose to look at it this way.
