Heck Matt, just going back through some of your early videos, this one 11 years ago, I look at the shed and compare it to where you are now, you sure have packed a lot into a short spell of time, super impressive mate, very well done
$500 what a steal. great tractors. i have a 1948 cub, i paid quite a bit more at $1800, but it included a 54 blade with all of the nessary hangers to mount in front or underneath, weights, chains, sickle bar. it has touch control hyrdualics and doesnt smoke. i wanted a cub because its larger enough to have some power behind it but small enough to be managable for lawn mowing. and yes i have a danco C3 and mow weekly with the cub, it not only works well but is fun
When I was 14 I spent the summer on the family farm helping my uncles. I drove a Farmall Super A pulling a hay wagon and hay loader, we didn't have a baler so it was all loose hay. I also mowed and raked with it. Great little machine! Good memories!
When I was growing up in the late 80s early 90s my dad got me one of those( I was just about 12 or so)to plow the driveway it wasn't a super..but it had that same manual hand lift on the left side with the cogged gear..I've seen a few A's at farm show around the area and never found another lift like that..it was great to see another one thanks for the video..I will watch many more!!!
AWESOME!!!!! Reminds me a lot of my Dad's Nuffield tractor, but his is a 1958 which is NEW compared to yours ;) Looks great, can't wait to see it in action!
You have an A, I had a couple of C's, and I also have an International 464, same as you, but mine is a gas, with a Bushhog loader on it. The A and C, has the same motor, on them, along with the B. Great old tractors. An A would have replaced a team of horses, a C would replace, two teams of horses. With those tractors, back in the day, some real farming, could get done. Lol.
In my lifetime, we (grandfather, father and myself) have had an A,1942 two C,s 1946and 1947 and two 300 Farmalls 1960 and 1965 all good tractors Someone once said is that all you buy, red farm tractors? That was before I bought a Tafe and its red too. LOL
VERY OLD EQUIPMENT IS A HELL OF A LOT SWEETER THAN NEW, BECAUSE IT USUALLY ID CHEAPER, AND GIVES US WITH SOME MECHANICAL BRAINS INTO HOW TO FIX IT AND WE WILL ALWAYS WIN WHEN WE DO IT ALLLLL RIGHT!
Love it! I just bought my dad's old Farmall BN back from the guy that we sold it to years ago. I found an old drag harrow for it. I'd like to get a disk next. My father in laws cousin has a Farmall A with the cultivators still intact. He said he'd sell it to my wife and I, so we're going to start saving up for that.
I didn’t have to work on it too much, she did a lot of work for me, I used it for years. She’s spent the last 2-3 years sitting under the roof out at the farm
Nice hitting the starter with gasoline spilled all over it inside an enclosed garage... I expected to see it blow when you hit the starter. One loose connection and a spark and kbooom....LOL You are one luckie... Better get going to the casino....

Wow, you’ve come a loooooong way. Persistence and dedication is really paying off for you.
Bring this farm all back. Crazy how much your videos have improved! Great stuff
It’s still around. Hasn’t run in many years though
@@DieselCreek thanks for the reply Matt, best channel on the TH-cams!
@@starfox1340 much appreciated!! 🤘🏼😎
@@DieselCreekYou should try getting it running again if its even worth trying

We had a 140 Farmall years and years ago

That garage sure got alot bigger!😉
You have to watch cranking that starter very long, with a 12 volt battery, it was made for 6 volt.
Way back here at the start. Can't wait to watch all of these in order. Cheers!
You certainly have come a long way!!
Even without an engine Matt will make it run ...
I'd love to see this thing make a comeback on the channel, even just to show us it exists!
It still out the farm. It lives in my fuel shed hasn’t been run in 4-5 years now. Needs an overhaul
@@DieselCreek Park it in the woods for a year then get Hank to do a will it start vid! I bet he won't unless Wileys with him lol
Love the sound of these old Farmalls I grew up with a 140 .

It’s cool too see it out in the daylight cause I’ve only seen it in the background of your videos standing lonely in the fuelshed.
This brings me joy so much joy
Oh Matt how you have grown !
Agree with the other comments. Please update us on this. What have you done it with for 10 years?
Yo this tractor is special to me my uncle used to have one he showed me how to drive it and I would farm small fields with this thing
they are great little tractors!

Sweet old tractors like this are getting harder and harder to find Neighbor.
Starting fluid will save your starter and wiring
I hate to see a fool trying to start something without quick start.

When he was just a kid !!
Thumbs Up liked, Merry Christmas to you also.
Same to you friend!

You are welcome.
4th gear pretty fast!
4th gear on my grandpa's farmall 140 feels like 90mph, its faster then all of the newer tractors ive driven😂
See if you can get a modest size Sonic cleaner for carb parts like that; will help a lot
Why assist chains on dry pavement?
Only just seen this today July 2021. Your style has change somewhat
Squatch253 would like this one l believe..
If that is a Super A it is 47 or later. I spent many hours polishing the seat of k ne of these, 1947 - 58.
Manual lift = Not a super A
You done working on it?
I didn’t have to work on it too much, she did a lot of work for me, I used it for years. She’s spent the last 2-3 years sitting under the roof out at the farm
Becaful cranking it with the crank pin, it will spit back & break your damn arm!
She doesn’t kick too bad, I haven’t run the poor old girl on a few years... need to restore her eventually! Thanks for watching!
Boy, your going to wish it was hydraulic lift!
How much pavement did you destroy with the chains installed?
that is a super a
Not a super A, they would have hydraulic lift on it, and much newer. Unless you are trying to say. It was a super little A tractor. Lol.
Not very smart to start any vehicle under standing fuel! Please be safe on your projects.

Just run it tell its dead
its a super A not an A
