With stellar tera i feel dropping glare for dragon pulse would be better since that way you can actually take advantage of the 3 out of 4 buffed attacks and dragon pulse kills raging bolt, gouring fire and walking wake or is a boosted move that can be save until you need it.

Serperior is my favorite grass starter. I never liked any grass starters since gen one and I started playing on gen 2. I never pick grass. Ever. My first starter ever was Feraligatr but Serperior is def the superior grass starter and I haven't even played the gen it debuted on. So technically I've still never chose grass but on whatever game this is on.... Im choosing it.

What do you think about an attack EV trained Serperior running scale shot and bullet seed with the loaded dice? Scale shot would give +1 speed and +1 defense, but no attack boost, which is the only downside to sp attack leaf storm. But, you get a dragon type coverage move that's really good!
Scale Shot would give Serperior a Def boost and a Speed drop.

I think I probably will put Serperior on my first competitive team. I want to pair it with Salamance and use Scary Face on Serperior against tailwind teams.

Came from false swipe and I want to try and build a team with my fav two Pokémon Charizard and Serperior
i still wish they'd give it more type coverage other than relying on tera type and tera blast.
if you look at the moves it learns in Gen 9 compared to other grass starters, not only is the TMs it can learn extremely less, but they so heavy grass/normal. with so few other types(if at all)
a move that is ground, or fire, or electric, or even bug.
hate relying on jsut tera as if you use tera on a different pokemon, that hurts serperior so much
I have a similar build with my Lurantis, except with Tera Fire.
What makes Serperior the better choice? Is there a detail I'm overlooking?

With Scary Face you can boost Serps speed.
I tried it with Enamorus. Worked ok but quite tricky to get off successfully. Might be better with Serperior given it can boost itself.
