    These guides were such a wonderful way to get back into competitive Pokémon after being out for several generations. Thank you for all your work on this project.

    I want you to know that I hardly watch Pokémon videos or play competitive, but I watched every single one of these videos. Very educational, entertaining, and high quality. I enjoyed this series a lot! You deserve way more recognition!

    Congratulations on making it to the end as well! Must've been hell of a ride and a lot of work.
    Personally I've tried to watch all of them bar maybe a few early D-F ranks and they've made me a better player already. I've made some serious reads and calls on teras etc. based on what these guides have told me and I would never ever have found that information anywhere else so thank you so, so much. Also figuring out spreads is a pain that you are in fact helping me with.
    I love these guides from you specifically because of the humour for sure but also because you've got the "optional sets" and not just some easy to come up with basic 252-252-4 with the hardest hitting moves etc. Just as an example I liked your WP Annihilape into the early meta, took it to SD ladder and smashed with it. Never would've come up with it myself, probably couldn't have played it correctly without your guide being so informative on why and how. Amazing work, keep it up! Also love the #believeinboyt series!

    I've been playing Pokemon since red/blue but your guides have really helped me fall in love with pokemon in an entirely new (to me) way. I tried competitive Pokemon last generation but with a full time job it was hard to find content that was short enough that I could research AND play so I just moved onto other games.
    The length of your guides has been perfect and the content of the guides itself has been top notch as well! Thanks for everything you've done, definitely excited to keep watching your content!

    Thanks for the guides! It has definitely helped me teambuild and theorycraft with lesser used mons since most other channels just discuss what's meta and how it plays and you took the effort of discussing every mon

    I found your channel ages ago from when you were helping DuncanCantDie do some teambuilding for some old draft league and how you were "the cottonee guy". These guides have been tremendously helpful and have made me want to build teams around some niche new pokemon like Brambleghast.

    The only complaint I have about all of these guides is that they make me wanna use so many different mons and I just don't have the time in a day to make that many teams. I've really loved these guides, I really cant wait to see what comes next

    I'm probably older than you and your entire viewing audience but Gen 8 was my first dip into competitive Pokemon, and I realized gen 9 was my opportunity to try it out and learn from the beginning, these guides are absolutely why I subscribed, such a helpful tool from such an insightful and open minded team builder

  • @simonecasini3735
    @simonecasini3735 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I know that razor claw is better in case you find an opponent who tricks/switcheroos your item and then uses fling. Fling razor claw does less damage than scope lens. I don't know if there are other backstories, and in 15 years of competitive pokemon I never saw that happening, but that's the only reason I can guess for choosing razor claw.

    Really early on in the format, I threw focus energy on a couple of different Draco metior users to enable anger point clear amulet Taurus w/ bulldoze. That set up specifically wasn't great, but the first time I oko'ed a dondozo with a stray draco I was like oh... this is gonna be a thing isn't it? But man I wish focus energy didn't take take a collateral damage from all the hazes running around. It's one of my favorite strats.

    The important thing about Steel tera is that it also resist the opposing Draco/Garchomp. Otherwise Fire tera boosted Heat Wave is pretty cool too.

    Something I've been curious about: I've watched your guide to EVs but for the incredible amount of pokemon guides you've just finished up for Series 1 alone, you do a lot of specific EV sets for every single pokemon for breakpoints. How fast does it usually take you to come up with those? I feel like it's the slowest part of planning my own teams.

  • @octaviovilchez3096
    @octaviovilchez3096 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice guides dudes, your Salazzle set help me specifically.
    I have a question, do 244 EVS it's better than 252 sometimes?

    +1 stage for razor claw/scope lens, and +2 for focus energy = +3 which is 100% crit chance

    Been loving these guides, but am I missing something?
    Where’s the one for Ursaring?
    Apparently Ursaring can already make use of Eveolite even though Ursaluna hasn’t been released to Scarlet/Violet yet. Gives it really good bulk. Definitely C or even B tier, but I’d like to see your thoughts.

    • @JamieBoytVGC

      *All fully evolved pokemon. I'm saving Ursaring for an 'Ursaluna (also Ursaring)' video when that is released.
