- My 300th solo video with this epic solo from Use Your Illusion I!
I don't know why I haven't posted it before as it has been one of my favorite and one of the first ones I learnt to play a looooong time ago.
There is no long fades between both parts, so you can hear everything. The ends of each parts (especially the clean part as I added a few bars) are not exactly the same as the studio version (but whatever, you almost can't hear them anyway in the studio version xD)

Merci ! Ah les fameux bouquins Cherry Lane, que de souvenirs ! Je les ai aussi mais ils ont un peu vieilli (mine de rien ils ont pas loin de 30 ans). On était quand même bien contents d'avoir ça à l'époque ^^

Absolutely agreed - though the real quality (and the very kind, more than polite, intelligent behaviour) has nothing to do with the number of subs, or likes.
Better to say that's only one part of the feedback.
Maybe it is important because of the money (from TH-cam). But after these couple of years that we know each other with Steph let me think that he doesn't make it for the money!

About the solo...
You cannot make a mistake with a Roses solo.
And I think you could play it at midnite, 2 minutes after woke-up, in your pijamas - but I NEVER wanna check that!! 😂🤣🤘👍

I have stund that the first solo here in phrygian scale. But phrygian what? What is the tonality of the song? Im beginner in the guitar
It's E phrygian : same notes as C major (E F G A B C D E) but the key is E and not C, which changes all the color and atmosphere. Also, it's mixed with E dominant phrygian which is E F G# A B C D E, which brings even more spanish / oriental color.

E phrygian/E phrygian dominant (actually E flat as the guitar is tuned 1/2 step lower)

1-The credits of the song say : Vocals / rhythm guitar : Izzy.
2-From an interview Slash gave in 1992: "On the Illusion albums, Izzy Stradlin is credited with rhythm guitar while you're credited with lead and rhythm. How does that break down any given track?" Slash's answer: "It's simple. Izzy, even on the songs he wrote, put on a very bare-bones guitar part -- just basic chords. And sometimes, very rarely, a single-note melody. He has ONE guitar solo on Illusion I -- at THE BEGINNING OF 'BACK OF BITCH' "
