Idk about letting the game choose the right potion to use for you. I mean can’t your own brain process or hands just press the right potion. I mean it removes the technicality or skill of a hunter in managing items.
@Robert-cx3ns yeah, I could see what you mean. I think their perspective is they don't want you to panic during a bad situation and manically scroll through your quick radial menu to pop the right potion. Kind of how in World drinking potions stopped making you stun place was a quality of life a lot of people didn't like because it removed the risk of trying to heal and survive. So it became easier. We have to play and see.
Overall the health bar looks like a lifeline indicator which is disappointing when older games the bar is much nicer to look at As an old time lance player the lance basic is still unchange 3 poke step Im more curious about performance issues when it an open world re engine game I suppose they will release a hi res texture pack later as re engine texture on close up is not good Gameplay wise i will wait until the game is release before i talk about it
@jonhard12 I wouldn't really worry about the textures. youtube compression and quality is terrible. Dragoks Dogma 2 also had a lot of issues with optimization on the PC and I believe it also ran on the RE engine. Only wait to really know is to wait for the game to release and watch performance videos.
@DembiBrox don't believe underwater will be coming in an expansion. If it existed, it would be in the base game. Far too much engineering and technical stuff gets in the way. It would need to be there from the start, in my opinion. I could see it in 7th generation, though.
@trashcanhands it has been confirmed multiple times by the developers that underwater combat is not coming. The first time 2 months ago when they revealed the first gameplay trailer and 2nd time during a gamescom developer livestream as they showcased the underwater exploring.
Dude, there's small mantis monsters running around the map! They're not endemic life small, but equivalent to Velociprey, Giaprey, Jagras, etc. I hope we get a large Mantis monster! I love Ahtal Ka.
to expand on number 19: monsters can also activate these environmental traps, apparently this can both help and harm them. seen with a balahara doing this during the 2nd developer stream, where a balahara climbed through a muddy pilar, and had it crash and break on top of him for big damage.
finally blood is back uuugh i missed so much, tho rise has it. at last we will hunt actual monsters and not big stone golems! so weapon bonuses huh? reminds me of 4 ultimate and those upgrades for attack, defense or health heal, tho those were endgame and really basic, thats so cool. I hope the Seikret can be customize, pouch wise or maybe just color wise, even if its just a tiny bit.
Not a huge fan of the dynamic health bar animations. Not a deal breaker but if it's an option I'll turn it off. However, the warning for big attacks incoming is a big no for me! Good for new players, but not for veteran player. This one needs to be optional!
@sawyerroux2738 No, it doesn't . The 5 purple stars that you see is it's strength. But the village star is 3 in the blue color. Please look again closely.
Now we only need the release date... It could be literally be in January or next summer... We dont know By what I've seen, the game still has some ... I'd say minor bugs One point when they falled into a sand hole "like the diablos in world" The monster was...EHM kinda glitching, something that you dont wanna see in a finished game Lets hope its gonna be very soon But not too soon... I can wait another year if it comes to it
The demo build is most likely outdated and a tad buggy as they mentioned during the livestream. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I am more concerned with how the final PC performance will be for this game. Dragons Dogma 2 did not launch very good for PC and now they are trying to fix it. I have a beastly PC with a 4090 RTX and great CPU but that doesn't mean the game will play well if its unoptimized. And yeah the demo did have some weird clipping and stuff, but that's just the nature of demo builds really. I believe the game is coming out Q1 2025 meaning January to March. If they are already having public demos I can see a downloadable demo for everyone sometime in December or if we are lucky September from during Tokyo Game Show. Sony usually also holds a State of Play around that time too that's Japanese centered and they are not a stranger to releasing Capcom demos on the PS store. TGS is where we will likely get the reveal for the flagship monster with the official boxart. That's how Nergigante was revealed for World, at TGS in 2017.

Its just more options for all players. Plenty of pieces on the old sets would have looked fine on either body type so it was silly they were locked in the first place. Especially hats and helms. Many of the belts and gloves. The tech for this kind of adaptation already existed in Dragons Dogma 2 so the armor pieces should adapt fine. Its kind of silly to be upset of having more choice as it distracts nothing from the game and only adds more freedom to make your character look cool the way you want. Also the players that want their beefy male characters in dresses for the laughs or whatever reason can do that to so good for them

@dogyamato5619 capcom classifies it as a Flagship game, I personally do not. It's a solid spin-off game made for newcomers who want a babysitter version. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game on its own, but it's not a true Monster Hunter game at all.
@@RathalosWatch wow. A spin off. At least you're honest but that is shocking. You're speaking like a monster hunter world noob. And it is monster hunter world that I would consider a spin off. They made it more palatable for a western audience, which served it well, but it didn't really feel like the next monster hunter game.
@dogyamato5619 I have been around since Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, my friend. I really can't stand the relationship between Nintendo and Capcom. Monster Hunter was born and belongs to the PlayStation. It baffles me to this day how Capcomnrefuses to releases all of their previous games as a compilation collection for PS5/XSX/PC. Instead, they release GU for the Switch that runs like utter crap. The mobile team needs to get their shit together and stop releasing exclusive stuff on Nintendo. Yes I know Rise eventually came to PC and other consoles along with Sunbreak, but this exclusivity stuff is getting real old.
@@RathalosWatch I feel like that's the main problem with the reception of rise. When it did finally come to pc n the other consoles they really didn't put alot of effort into making new graphics. It's basically just HD now. And for most people come from world to rise I get it feels like something is down graded. But honestly playing it on switch, on the actual hardware it looked amazing when it came out. Saying that the character design for the big dog was always shite. Either way, I don't think the graphics effect the game enough to be calling it a spin off and it hasn't stopped me playing it again on pc. Plus I do prefer it's more colourful aesthetic. However, I do feel like the console wars and all that are about to completely disappear n further think only nintendo will survive as a console, due to it having a family friendly persona. But ye they need to make these games for all consoles with cross platform play and re-release all these games on pc. That would be amazing. I guess the relationship with nintendo is because they make a portable device, but it can only be a good thing if every console has the same game to play together.
@dogyamato5619 I miss psp. Sony forgot about what Vita was and straight up abandoned. The reason why Monster Hunter stayed exclusive to Nintendor a while was because the handheld is much more popular in Japan. Monster Hunter performed better in Asia countries, so it made sense from a business standpoint to leave it on Nintendo. MH World is where everything changed. It's similar to how no one cared about Souls games when Demon's Soul came out originally on PS3. Then Dark Souls hit, and it exploded. Looknat From Software today, an old school Japanse developer that made nothing but a bunch of janky games back in the day to one of the most world-class renowned studios. Elden Ring is one of the best games ever made in history of gaming if you ask me. Always, World made Monster Hunter explode and goes mainstream, and I am happy it did because otherwise, the franchise would continue to stay on crappy Nintendo hardware. And no, I am not saying Monster Hunter Rise is a spin-off because of its graphics but because of how it plays. It's too fast, too anime, too easy, and there is no real hunting experience. It's an arcade style boss rush mode game with the Monster Hunter name on it. Don't get me wrong it's an amazing game on its own and Sunbreak is great and it has a good roster (better than Worlds's I'd say) but everything else is not really at the quality of World including the hunting experience, visuals and so on. I was genuinely shocked that Capcom didn't do any surprise remasters or some sort of HD collection of their entire MH franchise. Perhaps this is something that is being saved for the 25th anniversary ? But who knows with Capcom.
@RathalosWatch exactly, that's what you can do in Dragons Dogma 2 dressing up your Arisen and Main Pawn. The problem is, devs only made sexy equipment for females, no male equivalent too.

1 thing to keep in mind is that this gameplay is just a demo build for gamescom so that might be the reason why low rank+high rank materials appear. So once the full proper game comes out it will most likely be different(My thoughts).
@AnimationWarrior301 That's a good point. However, one of the devs said during the livetsream that both Doshaguma and Chatacabra are one of the first early game monsters we will face. Based on the previous story trailers, I could see us encountering Doshaguma 1st but not fighting it. It's kind of like what happened with Anjanath in World. The first fight will most likely be Chatacabra. Based on the previous trailers alone, the monsters star levels that we saw in the demo line up quite well.

I really hope veteran players don’t get pissy like they did for Rise. Wilds really looks fun and I hope it exceeds the hype.
Rise wasn't a true Monster Hunter game though. It was super dumped down and babysitter mode.
@@RathalosWatch this is exactly what I was talking about.
@chrishale7480 Wilds is essentially a sequel to World. However, there are a few changes in Wilds that have me concerned. Such as the massive power spike gains, the fact that we can now carry 2 weapons and plenty of other things. But that's a conversation and a video for another day.

Tomorrow i can provide further info ^^
I'll watch myself as well!
@@RathalosWatch you had the oportunity to come to gamescom as well?
@Builimacen no. I live in USA. I will never travel across the sea, sorry.
Overall the health bar looks like a lifeline indicator which is disappointing when older games the bar is much nicer to look at
As an old time lance player the lance basic is still unchange 3 poke step
Im more curious about performance issues when it an open world re engine game
I suppose they will release a hi res texture pack later as re engine texture on close up is not good
Gameplay wise i will wait until the game is release before i talk about it
@jonhard12 I wouldn't really worry about the textures. youtube compression and quality is terrible. Dragoks Dogma 2 also had a lot of issues with optimization on the PC and I believe it also ran on the RE engine. Only wait to really know is to wait for the game to release and watch performance videos.
All they need to do is add underwater combat in the expansion and this will be the best monster hunter game ever
@DembiBrox don't believe underwater will be coming in an expansion. If it existed, it would be in the base game. Far too much engineering and technical stuff gets in the way. It would need to be there from the start, in my opinion. I could see it in 7th generation, though.
@@RathalosWatch Who's to say? They developed the mechanics for swimming and underwater exploration already. You never know.
@trashcanhands it has been confirmed multiple times by the developers that underwater combat is not coming. The first time 2 months ago when they revealed the first gameplay trailer and 2nd time during a gamescom developer livestream as they showcased the underwater exploring.

@@Norfair1 yeah we don't have enough Insects.
to expand on number 19: monsters can also activate these environmental traps, apparently this can both help and harm them. seen with a balahara doing this during the 2nd developer stream, where a balahara climbed through a muddy pilar, and had it crash and break on top of him for big damage.
@supersonic4863 oh that's badass. I haven't seen the 2nd livestream, that's dope.
Probably want happen but it would be cool if you could like use other players characters to help you out. Something like dragon dogma.
so a pawn system? Don't really see a point in it for Monster Hunter to be honest or how it would benefit it.
Yeah, instead of using default characters, just use online players characters for offline.
finally blood is back uuugh i missed so much, tho rise has it. at last we will hunt actual monsters and not big stone golems!
so weapon bonuses huh? reminds me of 4 ultimate and those upgrades for attack, defense or health heal, tho those were endgame and really basic, thats so cool.

@@donquixoterosinante2681 good question, not sure about that 100% but I would assume you can?
Not a huge fan of the dynamic health bar animations. Not a deal breaker but if it's an option I'll turn it off. However, the warning for big attacks incoming is a big no for me! Good for new players, but not for veteran player. This one needs to be optional!

Now we only need the release date...
It could be literally be in January or next summer... We dont know
By what I've seen, the game still has some ... I'd say minor bugs
One point when they falled into a sand hole "like the diablos in world"
The monster was...EHM kinda glitching, something that you dont wanna see in a finished game
Lets hope its gonna be very soon
But not too soon...

Should have been 32 things. The last thing you said is a fact. Game of the yr don’t care what anyone says.
lol I see what you did there!
I hope we can turn off the big attack. I like having to pay attention to the monsters movements, makes me feel like a master.
@nidhoggr8193 same, I usually never look at the health anyway. I am sure if enough people complain, they'll make it toggleable unless it already is.
Don't like them getting rid of gendered armor. Everything looks good though.
I mean, you are not forced to wear male stuff on female. You can continue to wear what you wish, but I can understand your sentiment as well. I am not the biggest fan of it either.

You don't think of monster hunter rise as a flagship title do you..
But who knows with Capcom.
genderlocked gear gone.
My female hunter can have ugly bulky armor, and male hunter in a battle bikini
That sounds terrible not gonna lie.
@RathalosWatch exactly, that's what you can do in Dragons Dogma 2 dressing up your Arisen and Main Pawn.
The problem is, devs only made sexy equipment for females, no male equivalent too.
