Second one you can literally say, “a ricer”.
It’s because it doesn’t have a resonator with just straight pipe, just muff delete will sound somewhat better

That first sound is what I want for my Fiona (2015 SE 2.5 UH) it gives me a warm little smile, it feels like a natural sound. Not too flashy for something pretty much untuned.

They need to stop with the muffler and resonator deletes. They usually sound like crap. Do your research and get a decent catback made that sound good.

Oh Hell No! Nope, these are no good!! You can barely hear these cars and sounds no different than a stock 1995 Dodge Stratus, and that's a damn shame 😒Owners should have just run an open manifold, which is hands down the best setup and provides perfect back pressure and increased 0-150mph times of 6.5 seconds on these Ford Fusion 2.5L's.

I spent a lot of time figuring out the right tone to my 2.7L TT and ended up with 3" downpipes, 2.5" exhaust to x-pipe, mufflers, resonators.
Fusions have a hard time sounding good. The silver one managed to sound pretty decent. That red one... Absolute garbage.
I'm really considering this too. Went to the muffler shop and spent a fortune on magnaflow res and borla muffler for it to sound like a fart machine. I have the 3.0 lincoln mkz and think this setup would be great. I'd really appreciate if you could share some vids bud!

Straight piped in general sounds awful but it get worse and worse with fewer cylinders (v8 can kinda get away with it sometimes) It's just like G37's. Those cars sounds great with a proper/decent exhaust. but for some reason people choose the straight pipe them and they sound like loud trambones

I don't like the sound of muffler delete or straight pipe it's way to obnoxious, even any muffler removes that nasty raspy sound, there's so many trucks in my area that are straight pipes and they insanely loud and it sounds terrible. It's not the loudness it's the tone. Gut the cats (I know you don't because that's a big no no for a shop that could be an expensive fine) remove all the factory mufflers and resonators and toss even a single chamber muffler(s) and it's really loud but still sounds good. It's amazing how much welded in tips affect the sound, I used a reducer and replaced the last 18" of 2.25 pipe with 3" s/s tubing straight cut on my 5.0 and what a difference in tone, then I gutted 2 of 4 cats and replaced the original mufflers with Jones full bore single chambers and it sounds so sweet, beautiful ear porn, classic muscle car growl and fairly loud too.
