  • Foreigners review of the new Lahore Orange Line Metro Train (PAKISTAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT)
The Orange line has just been launched on October 2020. It connects Lahore's west end to the city's east end. The maximum speed of the trains is 80 km/h (50 mph). There are 26 stations, two of which are underground stations (Anarkali Station and Central Station). The total ride time from one end of the system to the other is about 45 minutes. The Orange line also connects to the Lahore Metrobus via an underground walkway from the Anarkali Station, and connects to the Lahore Railway Station via a moving walkway to the Orange Line's Bohrwala Chowk Station.
Is it up to our standard?

The line was originally intended to have 3 underground stations; Charburji station was originally planned as an underground station but was changed to an elevated station for cost reasons.

Wasn't due to cost.. the vibrations caused by underground station would've damaged chauburji they wanted to protect it..

I’m following you guys now after Covid spoilt my Pakistan trip for last Nov. My plan, from Lahore after the usual sight seeing, i want to head north and spend 2 good weeks at the Gilgit Baltistan region. It will be fun to see if you guys can introduce new places that i can insert in my future itinerary to Pakistan.
