    I really like this drill set. I’ve had it for over a year and it’s great! For how small and light they are they have a lot of power and the batteries last for quite a while.

    Why not just use one of the brands with the long straw like Kool-it, where you can push right up into the condensor box through the drain line? It's the same effect right? I'd rather do it that way and not drill a hole in the box, as long as it works to the same extent

    I think when you park and shut off a car the outside air vent closes to prevent intrusion of mice or insects (so it may not help to switch to outside air before parking).

    • @susanhuff2030
      @susanhuff2030 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A tech told me you have to manually choose outside air after you shut off the engine (turn on accessory, but don't start engine). This should override the default air vent setting.

    Think it would work on a 2014 tundra? Uncloged drain line several times and now won't drain. Passenger side stays wet.

    • @yotatechgarage9906
      @yotatechgarage9906  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would look at changing your cabin filter more frequently. If the hvac box does not drain like it’s supposed to this will not help. You need to find the source of the cause of the drain clog

    • @fezzard

      yeah, just go right thru the evaporator drain tube, instead of drilling a hole and potentially damaging some parts.

    • @yotatechgarage9906

      The reason for the hole is it come to the evaporator from a different direction and is more effective

      I tried 3 cans of interdynamics cleaner that you use through ac drain tube and the smell was still there. This drilling method is my next step because I think it hits the evap core better than going through the drain tube from the bottom. I’ll probably use several cans to make sure the SOB gets clean. If this doesn’t work the whole damn dash is coming off next to get to the exap core. 🤦🏻‍♂️

      You can it’s just not as direct

    • @metzmatu8409
      @metzmatu8409 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why not ..
      1. Unscrew & remove the thermister temporarily, basically you can see the bottom part of the evap via the thermistor hole.
      2. Spray those foam cleaner direct to the evap core to fill front cavity of the evap core. visually you can see foam flood your evap cavity via thermistor hole.
      3. Let the foam react for a few minutes.
      4. Secure back the thermostot in place.
      5. Then on the AC with blower & temp to max for the time require for cleaning chemical to react, liquified & drain out off the evap drain hose.
      (no hole drill required)
