I love potato soup! I add bacon, ham, ground sausage, heavy cream, red potatoes diced,chopped onions, sour cream , tons of minced garlic & lots of cheese!! Yummy!

Potato soup is a new favorite. I cook a vegetarian version. Even use "veggie bacon"😉 Iv8 cooked the same recipe from Betty Crocker for my husband. Were a mixed marriage. (Veggie and carnivore) So glad you are healing so well. Cheers!!

I was supposed to go in tomorrow morning for my test dentures, and the lab guy who is making them for me is super sick..... so postponed until next Thursday. So.... I never live past today. I’m so full! We just ate potato soup for supper tonight, I used leftover ham from Easter. I added flour and egg dumplings and velveeta cheese at the end of cooking, it was sooo yummy ❤
Looks really good. I don't make a rue I use instant mashed potatoes to the desired thickness. The things other that I do differently is carrots onion and celery. And parsley instead of scallions.

Any recipe that catches my eye, I might tag, but when it comes to cooking, like you, I cook with LOVE! a recipe is just a guide for me! I will even use some recipes to get ideas of flavors that are good together, and just fly by the seat of my pants!! I love cooking!!

Your potato soup looks really really good. My mom would love this. She doesn’t eat much these days but soup she can handle. And garlic and onions is her favorite in EVERY MEAL SHE EVER PREPSRED. So I am going to make this with LOVE* and hopefully it will make her feel nourished and comfortable enough to feel better. She loves her bacon as well. I just finished making this just now and included all of your recipe tweaks, including nutmeg. I used a thick high quality buttermilk, I had no sour cream, it worked fine. I can't wait for my husband to get home so we can eat !!! Have a great weekend Heather!

I'm with you, Sweetie! I love cookbooks; I have hundreds of them that I read from cover to cover. Any recipe that catches my eye, I might tag, but when it comes to cooking, like you, I cook with LOVE! a recipe is just a guide for me! I will even use some recipes to get ideas of flavors that are good together, and just fly by the seat of my pants!! I love cooking!!

Your potato soup looks really really good. My mom would love this. She doesn’t eat much these days but soup she can handle. And garlic and onions is her favorite in EVERY MEAL SHE EVER PREPSRED. So I am going to make this with LOVE* and hopefully it will make her feel nourished and comfortable enough to feel better. She loves her bacon as well. Growing up with the Spanish language we call them PAPAS * and she def. Loves them. Thank you Heather for sharing your recipe it sure looks better than my potato soup. And that little added nutmeg I am looking forward to tasting. We in this house LIVE SEASONINGS* and this may just be a new favorite for me. THANK YOU HUN * I ALWAYS enjoyed All your videos. Another thing my mom eats allot of to soothe her stomache esp. with medications is BREAD/ tortillas. So I been trying to make different types of bread. For her to taste and enjoy.
