This information is so valuable! And while comparing with my experience, your job is way more difficult than what we do in Germany. I don't know about the small or middle range companies but in a big corporation, we normally ask a travel agency to book flights for our executives or we book in a certain program where we can cancel flights for free if there was a mistake. Also, I don't have to check or track the travel costs. I can not imagine how stressful it might be to do that all on your own.
In the company I work for, it has a very large financial turnover, so very profitable however we don't have a lot of staff that travel... so it's easier to manage, however I have worked in very large companies and have booked travel through Concur and it was a much simpler process than doing everything myself.
This is a dumb question for someone completely new to this but how do you apply for a visa for someone else? Or must you just forward whatever the application process is to the executive and make sure they fill in their details and submit any application.
@@Cleisthenes607 no question is stupid. I apply on behalf of my executive and supply all attachments required. I always add his email address to the application so he has access to it.
How can i send the travel information to my executive using Outlook Calendar so that it blocks out HIS calendar so that he knows when he has an upcoming trip and how can I send it to him so that he can check in online as well using the body of the calendar that will have all the details? Thank you very much.
not exactly sure what you mean. I add the everything separately. In outlook I add the time he is flying and the time he arrives at the destination, and attach his e-tickets. I add the time he can check-in to the hotel and attach the confirmation. So I add everything individually in my executives outlook with the attachments for that specific event. I hope that helps
Thank you for your lovely comment. I do have all my checklists in my book called ‘The Executive Assistant Toolbox’ Rita Gunning. It is available in paperback and KDP.
Iam administrative professional & just beginner in travel arrangements i just know how to book flights could you help me how can I improve travel management skills
Hello Syed, I don't know what you are lacking in but I would say follow the checklist and block out times in your calendar to work on specific tasks ie. travel. This video should have helped you. This video may help. th-cam.com/video/lk-p_vwA4bU/w-d-xo.html
