  • I have been an Executive Assistant for over 25 years and I have worked in many countries as one. There are so many lessons I have learnt along the way. In this latest Executive Assistant Oasis video, I decided to only share 25 of those lessons.
    I hope some these lessons I have learnt, help someone not be so hard on themselves as they navigate their way through the journey of being an Executive / Administrative Assistant.
    Below are links to videos I have made that will help you take a deeper dive into some of the lessons I talk about in this video.

    Thank you. I just started an EA position 2 weeks ago. Back in my day it was called a Personal Secretary. My previous role was a Senior Medical Receptionist for the past 12 years. I am on a steep learning curve, and loving it.

      Congratulations on your new role... yes I remember back in the day lol. I "m like you, I love a steep learning curve and I love challenges... I love the feeling you get when you conquer those goals. Wishing you the best.

    19 is so good and something I've done since almost day one of my 20-year career. I could have written all these tips and I truly feel like it affirms how experienced and qualified I am for this role!

      Thank you for your comment. Most EAs have so many similar experiences. It is always nice to have the same affirmations. I hope you have a wonderful week.

    Is this a typical desk job? How many hours a day do you spend behind a screen typically? I'm looking for something where I won't be forced to sit in front of a screen the entire day.

      It honestly depends on your job description. In my EA role, I spend a lot of my time in front of the screen.

    In the modern day, is being an EA still a predominantly female job position?

    • @executiveassistantoasis
      @executiveassistantoasis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on what part of the world you are from... in India and in most Arab Countries, more men however in the Western World there are more women, although I have met a number of male EAs also.
