This was the last song I listened to with my mother before she passed it was one of her favorites she was unable to talk at that time but she squeeze my hand to let me know she heard it
It’s 2024, I’m 42 years old and this song is exactly why I love talking with the old timers. I want to live in the world she’s singing about. Unfortunately what was left of that world died in the 80’s. Still to this day one of the best songs ever written. Thank you for this timeless masterpiece.
Wynonna's voice is among the GREATS along with Karen Carpenter, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Patsy Cline. What a VOICE. I miss those days so very much. Rest In Peace Naomi Judd. I love you.
Walked home. Sorry. I think about my son every day almost all day. He was in his 4 th year of College. He was in pain. I am so sorry I was not there for him. Crying out Loud. ♥️✝️
This song came out when my grandma from the Cumberland Plateau in Ky passed. My grandfather was our best friend. This song still resonates in memory lane, it still moves me to tears. My grandmother gave me comfort, sat next to me at grand-dad’s funeral before her time was up.
They first came to my attention with this original broadcast. I was mesmerized with the performance and have been listening and loving their talent since. Thankfully, TH-cam has this specific memory which I've revisited over the years. What brings me back today is the sad news of Naomi's passing. May she rest in peace. My condolences to the family. Many thanks for leaving a legacy of love and tremendous talent. 💔❤️💔
The Judds are so precious. This song was so comforting to me as a child. Wynonna and Naomi have such beautiful voices. Dear G-d I wish it was 1985 forever . . . Bless the Judds🌺 RIP to my the BEST Grandpas ever . . . George H.❤ Marion Y.❤
One of my favorite performances. Shows how pure and perfect their voices are without any of the extras. This week I bought their greatest hits CD and can't wait to play it over and over. It's Terribly sad that Naomi has left us.
to enter a song slow and easy with perfect tune is a work of art. she could hold a guitar at a camp fire for hours and just have everyone mesmerized. the kind of talent for the day in time blows away todays talent.
One of my favorite songs by the Judds.rest in perpetual peace sister Naomi Judd ❤..thank God we have your music to listen to. Thank you for the Beautiful and great songs 🎵❤💕💜
I never got to meet either grandpa.. but my uncle was like a grandpa to me and he passed away in 2014 and i dedicated this to him ..i love you uncle Albert until we meet again..
I'm sorry and sad to hear about your momma Naomi passing on today. R. I. P. Naomi gone but not forgotten you will truly be missed by me and millions of people around the world
Wow. Brings so so many memories up. My grandpa raised me from a little toddler. If it wouldn’t been for him and my grandma, me, my momma, and two sisters would’ve been on the streets for sure. We lived with them since I was a baby boy and never left from them till I was old enough to move out on my own. Papa was always there when I needed him. He has been gone since July of 2007. Just a few short months after my Mama (grandma) passed on in April of 2007. I believe they knew their times were coming to an end. And one didn’t leave to far behind the other. Grandma: April 19, 2007 ( 6 days before my 29th birthday) Grandpa: July 27, 2007. Just over three months and he was gone also. We lost a lot that year. And now my momma is gone (Nov. 15, 2022) and it hurts to see all of them gone. Funny. When you’re young, you think everything will stay the same. I love all of y’all.
Her name is Wynonna and she didn't mime anything. She played the guitar. There are two guitar parts. Their band leader, Don Potter, played lead offstage and she played rhythm. Listen more carefully before you comment..
What I love isn't their singing as much as the way the mother loves her daughter(s) and promotes rather than competes with either when clearly she could. One a great Nashville singer. The other a famous Hollywood actress.
Yes I had to come here and look for her live when she first started after hearing her on dtws which did not sound good. She had a beautiful voice, This is how I remember wynonna.
Thank you for the wonderful comments, I appreciate it. I got this clip from a DVD called "Carson Country", it is a special DVD of country artists performances and interviews on The Tonight Show. I still have plenty of stuff to upload, so I hope you will keep checking back. Thanks again!
Only heard this song for the first time today ! Have listened loads of times. This live version is actually the best IMO. The mum doesn’t look old enough to be the mother 😀
This was also me and my mom's song cause they was mother and daughter. The mother was sick. And the daughter had the will to keep singing after her mother had to stop.
Wynonna has a lovely voice. The mother was her back up singer/harmonizer. You see the difficulty in the mother daughter relationship as they go to sit with Johnny. As the lead singer Wynonna should have sat by Johnny. Mommy continued this domineering and competitive behavior with her ‘daughter’ over the years. You certainly see it in the documentary put forth by the Wynonna.
Wynonna has amazing control of her voice, something many singers don't have. Both voices are fabulous.☘️
Wyonna has since knowledge that about Carrie Underwood.
This was the last song I listened to with my mother before she passed it was one of her favorites she was unable to talk at that time but she squeeze my hand to let me know she heard it
I’m sorry for your loss, I hope you are doing better. That was a great song for her departure, I’m glad you got that moment with her. God bless you.
I have always loved The Judds. Beautiful and graceful ladies that came into everyone’s hearts when they started to sing.
beautiful voices 😍

Wy has an incredible voice. Top 10 female singer for me. Effortless. No band. No auto tune. Just two girls and a guitar.
So glad I was able to see them in concert years ago. Naomi's passing makes you take notice and realize how talented they both were, RIP Naomi
Also, how fragile life is. Naomi may be gone but never forgotten.
I have listened to this song many times and this live version is by far the best in my opinion.
This is so good, vocals clean and with emotion, terrific live performance
That song will bring tears to your eyes. I miss my papa, he was the only father that I ever had.
love the judds hope you are ok love wee bell from scottland iove you both xxxxxxxx

No one can sing like Wynonna.

The sound and honesty was so evident. This is when it was new, innocent, and a bit more pure, in my opinion.❤️
One of my favorite songs by the Judds.rest in perpetual peace sister Naomi Judd ❤..thank God we have your music to listen to. Thank you for the Beautiful and great songs 🎵❤💕💜

Another reason the 80's were so unforgettable. The Judds. Pure country. Nothing else thrown in.
RIP, Naomi. We loved what you and Wynonna gave us💓💓💓
Well now the Judds dabbled in pop-country too.
