Naomi Judd not only sang beautiful harmony with her daughter Wynonna, she also was a songwriter as well as a nurse. She is also the mother of the movie actress Ashley Judd. Naomi wrote their hit Love Can Build A Bridge. So many great songs to listen to..my favorite is Rockin' To The Rhythm of the Rain.

"When an old man dies a library burns to the ground" I have never heard that before but wow! That is so true. Keep the Judd's on your list to for more songs - they have some songs with super powerful meanings. Their sound is like the roots of country music.

This song may have never been more poignant than now.

The daughter is Wynona Judd. This is from 1983-84. Naomi, the mother committed suicide back in April, the day before they were inducted into the country music hall of fame. Wynonna is still around and her voice has been compared to Elvis. Her sister, Ashley Judd is an actress.

My Grandpa told me that if a man does not keep his word, he may as well start all over again, because he has already ruined his credibility in the eyes of God, and in the eyes of those around him. I carry that with me. A good person keeps their word. If they slip up, and miss it, then they make it right! Our kids see everything that we do. Lying is contagious. Covid has nothing on a lie. Thanks!

I am 64 now. I remember when we were little (I was oldest of 5) we would load up to go visit our grandparents About twice a month. BEST memories is pulling up and smelling grandma's fresh baked bread and also sitting on front porch listening to Grandpa telling all the stories of his early years. Memories !!!

Wynonna Judd had a great solo career as well. She’s a great vocalist..

I have never made it through this song without ugly crying. My grandpa introduced me to this song when I was younger so it is very close to my heart. Thank you for this! 💕

I'm not a country music person but I saw them in concert many years ago and they were fantastic. Such a loss losing Naomi, may she fly high and free.

This is one of those songs, that gets only more relevant as time passes. It was performed back in the mid 80's but, could have easily been written in today's atmosphere.

Glad you finally did the Judds. You should do "Rocking to the Rhythm of the Rain". If you do a stage video you'll get a better sense of Naomi's harmonizing.😊

The song put me into tears, I’m the grandpa and my heart breaks seeing what my grandchildren face. I miss that time, there was still some honour among people. People knew how to talk without everything being profane. The good old days were not always good, but they seem to be better than today.

Amber, I doubt you'll see this, but on a personal note, your good vibes and positive spirit is there just when it seems I need it most. I've been going thru lot of hard times lately, and Amber's smile happened to be just what I needed. I doubt you realize how important a "silly YT reaction channel" is to people, but I believe your purpose is to make the world a better place, one smile at a time. Even though it seems small, it can be life altering when you reach someone desperate to find a glimmer of positivity in this cruel world. It's so comforting to know there are good, decent, intelligent, and loving people out there; and that I'm not alone. MR ROB, hold on to that angel tightly!! Rarely does a man receive that kind of blessing! Much love to your whole family, and keep doing God's work. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart
