  • In this video I install the Raymarine EV-150 autopilot in my parker 2320. The install is pretty straight forward however, there are several extra parts you will need. Below are the items I that were not included but needed for installation:
    1. Seastar hydraulic fluid and fill hose
    2. Sitex auto pilot hose kit from amazon www.amazon.com...
    3. NMEA 2k to Seatalk NG adapter
    4. 3 double male adapters to connect pump to autopilot hose kit.
    Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks for the video and descriptions. We're thinking about replacing our existing (originally great, but problematic now) S1000 with the EV-150, and it looks like a good upgrade. I'll comment back if we do, and if the existing hydraulics will work with the EV-150. Thanks!

    10:30 I simply used the 2 90 deg fittings that are in the back of the steering helm and put them on the pump. The kit from Sitex comes with one straight fitting for the return line reservoir . Didn't need to go to Home Depot for 3 extra fittings for the 150 with kit..

    Just ordered the EV 100 for my lund, curious how well it works with the lowrance elite fs 9 or if it will. Not a big deal as the head unit offers the main functionality that I was looking for.

    Thanks for the video. Can you control the AP exclusively from the MFD or do you have to use the unit that comes with it?

      You can control it from the mfd. that’s what I’ll be using in the Tower

    Hi sir. The ev 150 need some kind of piece in the outboard to measure de shaft angle? OR the only things you need are inside de box kit?. Thanks a lot from Argentina

      Hola! Gracias por ver el video! You can buy a rudder position sensor or “smart stick” to get rudder position feedback. I currently don’t have one and it works fine but it’s something I’ll probably add eventually

    Hi from England. Can I ask, do you power the control unit with 12v or will it get power from the NMEA through the seatalk connections?

    • @Tonygiooffshore
      @Tonygiooffshore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there!! Thanks for watching. It’s supplied by 12v.

  • @Eric-zs6rd

    I only have an NMEA2k system in my boat and will have no other raymarine equipment aside from this autopilot. Do I need to order the seatalk network switch to make the autopilot work? Or did you only need that because of your raymarine MFD?

    • @Tonygiooffshore
      @Tonygiooffshore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah your NMEA 2k will work I only used it because a lot of my components are already tied into the sea talk network

    Did you have to install check valves so the pump wouldn't move the steering wheel?

    • @Tonygiooffshore
      @Tonygiooffshore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, how the T’s are set up it bypasses the steering wheel. But, when the AP is active the steering wheel does not control steering

  • @bradlandon5138
    @bradlandon5138 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I will not be linking my unit to anything other than the head unit that comes with, so if I'm thinking correctly I shouldn't need the nemma network right? Thanks again

    • @Tonygiooffshore
      @Tonygiooffshore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No unfortunately you will still need the seatalkNG (or NMEA with adapters) network. It’s the only way each component will communicate with each other. So for example the ACU (brain) tells the pump which corrections to make. The only way the ACU gets it’s info if via the EV-1 sensor and P70 controller which feed the info via the seatalkNG network. I know it seems complicated but it’s only a few parts and it’s very easy once you get your hands on it.
