    I've have a druid 18 barbarian 1 favored 1 as one of my alts.
    +10% movement, +3 Str while raging. Die Hard. and martial weapons. ( 4 AP spent Frenzied )
    Movement just makes him more fun to level.
    Also took Grandmaster Flowers instead of Shadowdancer as I couldn't pass up the +6 Stun as he lives and dies by his stun DC in reaper epic/legendary.

    If you're doing the 18/1/1 configuration, warlock works well but if you're not using that approach I'd recommend going with 1 barbarian over 1 fighter, as low hanging fruits in the barbarian trees will let you get extended rage & extra stat boosts while raging & will also stack with shifter racial enhancements that provide the same effects, meaning you can have a 10min rage that gives a bunch of immunities & +10CON - also, maul in the shifter racial tree has a separate cooldown from the druid spell, meaning you can fire off 2 mauls & a rend in quick succession & have much easier access to the 3-stack savage roar for a lot more impact - in heroics especially it practically feels like cheating.
    Weapon-wise, if you want to go the 2hander route quarterstaff isn't as bad as you'd think since you can make use of shillelagh to get an extra +1W on wooden ones (+2W with the 3rd season's herald core) plus swords to plowshares to make your sticks have the +2 threat range that stacks with IC (if feat space is short you might be better just ditching IC in favour of s2p) & there are a number of great options through levelling, epics & at cap; elemental bloom is perfectly viable to 20 & the iterations of broken oar from crystal cove are great too, then the stout oak walking staff at 20 from eveningstar commendations is downright brutal & can see you right through until you get raid weapons at 28+ if you don't happen to have a sireth, epic bone crusher or epic elemental bloom along the way. Note that it really helps to have the shadow imbue from feydark illusionist to prevent weapon damage on the lower level ones though, they're notoriously fragile otherwise.

    If you are taking the warlock level anyways, why not grab it early and get masters touch for leveling? It'll save you a feat on a weapon proficiency. I know it's kinda annoying, but 1 cast per rest isn't that big a deal, and it gives you a plethora of versatility in weapon options.

    Am I crazy or does Ursa's heart not work without a shield? This is my 2nd bear druid, and despite having medium armor equipped and in bear form my HP are not increasing.

    Strimtom: I'm curious why if you utilize the bear roar for AOE and then helplessness % that you don't use the falconry tree for weaknesses % ? If it stacks with the destinies and not taking the fighter tree instead of vastani? You get to hit and dam, plus haste, so you would have more pts for the druid tree, just a thought, but I like the build. Also, would what more melee power or double capability with this build? 👍 Thanks for your post always great stuff!

      Druid roar oddly doesn't count as helpless even though it is a stun, so you don't get extra helpless damage.

    Natures Protector core 3 grants heavy Armor proficiency I take it that any Armor I use has to be non-metallic?, are there any easy to get suitable Armor's whilst levelling not sure if I`ve seen any random loot that would be usable.

      @thisrockifound5878 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I realize this is an old message, but just in case you put the game down for a while or someone else is looking for this info, the lowest level named heavy armor you can find that isn't made of metal are the Scales of Avarice from the quest Black and Blue at level 10. All randomized heavy armor is metallic, so that'd be your only choice if you don't want to just stick with medium armor until you hit the Nature's Protector capstone Force of Nature.

    Humm.. possible noobish question. On ursas hart it states that it requiers you to both be in bearform and have a shield equipped to get it to work.. but the build is explained as a twohander build. what am i missing?

    Do I need high Str on my Bear/Wolf Druid?
    If so, how should the stat allocation go? Str, Con, Wis? Can I have low Wis on a Bear/Wolf Druid?

    • @Strimtom
      @Strimtom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On most animal druid builds you need a total of 19 wisdom to cast all your spells. That means you can start with a 14 wisdom, and get a +5 item, and cast all spells.
      Or start a 12 wisdom, get ship buffs, and then a +5 item and still cast all spells.
      I would say mostly strength and con, a little wisdom on the side, like my build here

    I get 20 PRR when I change from wolf to bear and I can't find the source. Am I missing something or is there a hidden bonus for bear form?

    • @Strimtom
      @Strimtom  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There shouldn't be a hidden bonus, but it is hard to say for sure exactly what it is. Generally bear gets more MRR, not prr.

      @@joewelch4933 There are only a handful of weapons out of the thousands of items in DDO that give main hand effects while in the offhand. I stand by my advice to recommend not dual wielding.

      @@Strimtom I am not disagreeing with the overall analysis that dual wielding is bad as an animal. I just pointed out that its not entirely useless. A shield is better in every situation, but a stick with say, doublestrike and deadly as your offhand still applies.

      I've got a 17druid/3monk trailblazer tabaxi, fire elemental form melee, wisdom focused using falconry with full monk stances & running in water stance, i wouldn't say she's specifically a healer but definitely has some solid healing capabilities as well as the ability to strip fire immunity & the elemental imbue, she kicks butt pretty effectively & is a lot of fun to play.
