I can’t hear this sound is so low
It is slightly on the quiet side, sorry! Headphones seem to do the trick though :)
I’m using headphones (not muffs) & it is a tad quiet. But then I was washing dishes & have a dehydrator goi g next to me 😄. Overall it looks like a wonderful build & very usable for your family. Like choosing a theme/favourite artist for colours etc. brilliant!

My folks hauled us around in a VW camper. My bunk was canvas suspended over the front seats at night. (I slept parallel to the windshield between the dr8ver & passenger windows). My brothers slept in the pop top. My parents slept on the back bed, which folded up into a seat during the day.
Based on my irl experience, these kids are old enough for both parents to sit in front & copilot/visit. I was younger than the youngest child here when we traveled. I knew we were supposed to look at the scenery going by. I enjoyed visiting/joking w my brothers and fiddling w lap toys. My brothers read, too. (I didn't know how, back then.) Sometimes we'd play typical car games. It was great.

Although I live in the United States, the camper looks adult appealing and child friendly. However, I would've made the storage area in the back--a wet bathroom for privacy. Overall, the camper appears nice and functional.
Without that storage we would have nowhere to put our clothes unfortunately! If we went for the L4 model we might have been able to incorporate both but then would have struggled to get round our city streets. I guess the beauty of a bespoke conversion is that you can do it according to your preferences :)
This is a stunning van and it is nice that each child has their own little port hole to look out of as well. You van is very cosy and the colour scheme is beautifully done. Best wishes to you and your family xx

Love this van build, I’m a big fan of colours & greenery, and the kids little individual pods is a fantastic idea, the only thing I’m not fussy about is having to put the bed together every evening which they can’t really avoid because there is no room, I would have a awning and put a double blow up bed in there!
Haha fair enough, definitely always open to idea for making the bed setup simpler - although I'm not sure pitching an awning and inflating an air bed would be quicker or more comfortable?

I’m guessing above the driver and passenger seats where they have blankets and sheets stored now.

Fantastic tour with full explanation on how it all converts from day to night. I have been following alot of theses van tours as I design and build my own. One van tour I dont recommend is the inghams family they have the most dangerous set up with 7 people in one sprinter van !

Yes, @@lindsayberresford7768, a bit like you. Tough, but others have it much worse. I work in tourism and as you can imagine, I've been on furlough since March last year and it looks like that won't change before summer. But the Spanish government pays us 70% of our wages, so I can't complain. What upsets me most is, that we finally wanted to start converting a van last year (to begin with only for holidays and weekends) and the financial strain caused by Covid made me put the project on ice again. I'm so hoping though that we'll make it to Camp Quirky in one of your vans in the near future. All the best! 🙏🏽😌

I so much wish I could, @@lindsayberresford7768! Covid has hit us hard, financially, but I've almost recovered now. Still, travelling from Tenerife to the UK, accommodation (which I would obviously rent from you) and the admittance fee are just too much for me this year, especially since we're putting every penny we don't need towards our first van. You know that attending Camp Quirky is a long time dream of mine and every year I can't come hurts, but it will happen in the near future! Have some fun for me this year and maybe next year we'll finally meet. Or just come to Tenerife. I do have a guest room, but I'm afraid it's not enough space for you, David and the kids. If necessary though we'll squeeze you guys in somehow. And maybe, just maybe I might still be one of the Quirky Campers team one day (you remember our very short conversation about extending to other European countries?). Anyway, guys. Have fun and I very much appreciate you thinking about me! Say hello to Greg (Virgoe) for me. We've been in constant contact and I'm so upset that I won't meet him again this year. 👍🏽😘

Build a bed up above the ban like a tent and put a hole up for entry for the bed for you and your husband and the pop up bed and create a toe trailer that has the bathroom

I’m totally in love with this van and colour scheme and we are in the process of converting our van. So just to check, van sleeps 5 but table sits 4 for a meal. The 5th has to eat from lap? Can a baby chair be clipped onto the end of table. ❤

Nice. But in my van I knew I wanted a fixed bed that I wouldn’t have to put together at night and take apart in the morning.
But if you have kids I guess it’s the only way to do it.

Where do you keep your food storage? I am guessing that the refrigerator is on the right as you come in the van.
Yes that's right - means that it's accessible even when the bed is out
Lovely design but the double bed seems very complicated to have to make up every night.
It is a little complicated. However it's still less than 5 minutes and for us our priority was for the kids beds to be easy and accessible.
Did they explain how 5 worked with no toilet? I couldn't hear it, I thought it odd to have a shower but no toilet.

Apologies! We're going to try and add subtitles. We have a toilet that stows away under the wardrobe or goes outside in a pop up utility tent.

The van looks beautiful but using that table while travelling seems worrying. I have seen a lot of warnings about not using campervan tables when the vehicle is in motion.

There's only 5 people in the family but Frida can accommodate 6 - there is the option to use a cab bunk up front on the driver/passenger seat :)
What are the dimensions of the bunk beds for the kids?

You should come over to my house, I can sell you my Frida stuff. I have several things that were hand made. I have a hat box painted on canvas paper. Etc

We have a fridge on the right hand side by the sliding door then two baskets for food plus space in the cupboards

Yes the seats around the table are crash tested and all have 3 point seat belts.

Defiantly wont work when those kids get older, they are not going to want to climb into a little hole to get in and out.
I still sleep quite happily in the top bunk 😂 but you're right - we are expecting it to last 5-10 years before we have to figure out a different solution.
How can mommy and daddy have private time in this setup?
