Very informative guide, went from missing the archery range target half the time from 15 paces to doming moving bunnies from 30-40. It did take a few hours and multiple herds of sheep to get it right but it feels pretty rewarding I tell you hwat
Easily the most informative and well-made archery tutorial I’ve seen for this game. Thanks and hope you keep making tutorials like this! I’m in my second play through (first hardcore) and by God I need them.
For bows, if you're doing a archery contest or hunting small game then use a bow with a low strength requirement, this does less damage, but the draw speed is much quicker. In contests this allows you to get the tree extra points for finishing your shots first and hares go down in one shot of anything.
Most of the time I have to mentally recall where the arrows will go once I loose them. Usually with a few initial shots I can place further arrows on target. The arrows can fly directly in front of you even if you haven't fully drawn the string, but it becomes difficult to gauge where the arrow will actually go. Around the exact center of the screen - effectively where the reticle is - seems to be the spot. The archery otherwise is a matter of point shooting, which is not accessible whatsoever but very rewarding.
The moment when not only you are searching for bow instructor's on the game, but also on real life to learn the tricks and how to shoot, yeas, Kingdom come delivarence have me complety inmersed on the game
Providing you haven't picked the numbskull perk doing the mid tier competition in Uzhitz gives you 45 xp every time you win so it's one of the fastest ways to level bow in the game & you make lots of money too.
Get a horse and go to skalitz. There are always Cumans spawning there and they don't have any chance against a horseback archer. Usually you can get multiple sets of armour in one run.
As helpful as this video was, it really just boils down to practice. Yes it’s frustrating, but when you finally start getting good, or even a tiny bit better than you once were it feels like the most satisfying thing in the world.
Now I understand why I'm so bad at archery in this game. I've trained for like 3 or 4 hours just now and I got better but still I am not good I'll tell you that. Btw I don't understand why you have the reticle active at all times except when aiming with a bow, is there a way to activate the reticle when aiming or something ?

My issue isn't archery contests or combat, it's freaking hunting larger prey that inherently stays at a good distance from you and constantly moves around. Until you get your hunting skill up, this makes is very hard to hit things like boar and deer and whatnot cuz you're dealing with faster moving, distant targets. The farther they are, the more even minute movement from them has a big difference in actual degrees they move in your vision.
