I'm glad you've been getting some time from work and the projects to be with your son 🙂👍 I think you done a *fantastic* job with the repairs and installation Maverick 🔧 Can't wait to see the power upgrades. Take care
Haha, hey I appreciate that, buddy! I don't think people wanna see me take the hours of time it takes to sand something down and get it all prepped for paint, though.
Nice job, beautiful truck, I have an 87 f150 almost same color skeam. Mine is red and cream. I'm looking at a visor this week the guy say it fits 80 to 96 but it came off a full size bronco. Do you know if that would fit my truck. I like the idea of running the wires down the window channel. How is it to remove that window trim.
So the Bronco visors are slightly different than the f-150- f-350 trucks. The Broncos have a taller roof, so you'll most likely have fitment issues. But since you found one for a Bronco, I'd snag it and sell it, it'll go for good money! The windshield trim isn't hard to remove, just be very easy because you will bend it.
So far, so good! No leaks coming from the visor since I used rubber washers and put silicone around the riv-nuts, and haven't had any of them back out on me. I've taken the truck on a long road trip and drove it quite a bit over the summer, and didn't see it try and lift up at all, either.
@@mavsfabshop that’s awesome, thanks for getting back to me. I just bought a moon visor for my 95 and i’m contemplating how to get it mounted/sealed up. Definitely gonna rivnut it and try to find me some rubber washer and silicone 🤘🏻
No paint job is complete without a bug in it
Just bought my visor off marketplace for my 1990 Ford. Your video is gonna really help me out with mounting it, thanks!
Glad this video will help you out

@@mavsfabshop thank you for getting back to me, I'll go check it out this weekend. Happy holidays
What did you use to hold the bolts? Looking real good. Getting a visor myself in a few days hopefully
I used riv-nuts. It's basically a threaded pop rivet you can put a bolt in. Harbor freight sells the kit for around $25 if I remember correctly
Im wondering of the install would be the same on a bull. id kill for a visor on my 585. i should have kept the one off my 86
Yeah, the install would be the exact same for all trucks 80-96/7.
what lift and tires are you running?
@@ryley12345 4" lift and 35s
Any clue on where to get new wireing with bolbs and lenses?
Unfortunately, no I don't. I did all the wiring myself because I had everything to do it with
@mavsfabshop how did you get the bulbs to stay in the visor hole you clips are old and worn bulb falls out
@user-le6yd4ph7q so I'm using little LED Penny lights, the holes in the visor were drilled out to accept those
@mavsfabshop ok cool that's brother
Nice! What size are those sockets? I have the lund kit but like those sockets better.
I used ¼"/20 nut serts
how has everything held up ? any leaks?? did you have any riv nuts spin out ??

@@mavsfabshop can you walk me thru this exactly. you drilled, rivnut, silicone around the rivnut then rubber washer and bolt ?
@@bobtailsthecat yepp, that's exactly how I did it. I did put a little bit of silicone around the bolt heads for some extra security, too.
@@mavsfabshop okay i appreciate it
