Can I just apologise yes I’m resting on a wheelie bin! And for the way I run on this video I’m wearing flip flops and my tits are bouncing everywhere sorry guys🤣🤣 look like something from carry on film sped up!
Love the vid made!! A welcome departure from the high production, over edited norm. This is grass roots blinking 🔥🔥 I’m tossing about between the 22, 177 vixen, so this is gold
For the newbies out there. POI is point of impact, when Denny mentioned POI he is referring to point of impact changes. The Vixen is well known for these changes, the plastic handrail is garbage, apparently someone reckons a fix is the tape some sandpaper to a plastic drain pipe and rubb away the little mould ridges away, i wish i knew this, i purchased an alloy one from vector air expensive but worked a treat. Vixen is a superb rifle. Denny you did well there considering you were using a wheelie bin to rest on. Great little video. PS i never had to warn my children to stay clear, after they copped a few slugs they learnt fast 😂😂😂
Nice one mate for the added information on POI. I’ve done a video last month on this subject and a quick easy cost free method to stop it very easy. Nice one mate & thanks for watching and being a part of our channel. 🎯👌🏻
I have a vixen long in 177 best gun I've had for a while but noticed when shooting if I rest the gun on the shroud or plastic hand grip point of aim is effected. I use a bipod mounting on the pic rail as a hamster works great for free hand or of sticks
Hi Gareth. yes it’s a common thing that’s easily stopped by where you rest your vixen I’ve done a video a few weeks ago how to combat this with out spending £100 on an alloy hand rail! I shoot off the shoulder as a rule very old school I know just used the rest today for demo of accuracy for the video today and had poi on the first few shots but as you see I rectify it immediately by where you rest under the block! Hope this helps mate and thanks again for taking the time to comment & watch the video. Denny.
I bought a .22 vixen long and fitted it with a immersive optic 14 x 50 on Wednesday and use webley accupel, once zeroed in at 25 meters my back garden range it is incredibly accurate.
Hi Andrew yes I’m on that mate! Like I say I don’t usually shoot off a rest this is the first time I’ve fired my vixen on a rest since the mod shroud. I mostly shoot free handed mate so no need to spend £100 on a bit of alloy! Recently done a video on this subject. Thanks for watching. Denny.
Great content Is there a fix for the poi shift I love the look of the vixen but using mine sat in a hide banging it on the stick or leaning it on fences as I climb over is a bit of an off put thanks
Hi Dan. Thank you mate yes there is a few ways around this conundrum, I have done a video on this last month check it out! Very simple solution or £100 alloy rail! Thanks for watching mate.
The vixen at that distance will shoot much tighter groups. But for it to do so requires the shooter to utilise the principles of marksmanship, being properly aligned, having good trigger control, using breathing correctly and correct follow through. These will be really small adjustments to how you shoot but produce scary accuracy.
I now know you have a pard scope, do you know what the MOA is on the mount. The reason I’m asking is because I want to buy a Arken Zulus scope but I’m not sure which mount I will need, I have a Vixen short. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@davidcarradice2866 you will have to shim it possibly mate I have no idea about the Zulus as I don’t own one. I’m very loyal to pard and waiting for the new version to come out. All I know is you have to shim the pard under the last mounting screw at the rear so it centres your cross hair. Hope this helps mate, you can always see other videos featuring how to mount and set up your Zulus.
Plenty of ships all over the country selling them mate, Leicestershire air guns, vector air to name a few also guntrader! I would only get the ling version and as for calibre it all depends on what you want to use it for there both like a lazer mate.
hi mate ive been following you for a while now & was keen to sell my hw100 to get a vixen i have health issues & lost a lot of strenth in my left arm so i need a lighter gun but now you are getting a cricket ive started looking at them now but unsure which cos of my disability wot do you think mate thank u +
Hi Colin thanks for being part of our community, sorry to hear about your health issues mate! I’m not getting a new gun now mate plus I’ve since found out they have indexing issues and are clunky! I’d stick with the vixen if you want a lightweight accurate reliable rifle you can’t go wrong with the vixen but you will have to swap the plastic handrail for an alloy one mate and they cost £120! Let me know how you get on.
I own a Daystate Revere safari in .177 and an old air arms side lever springer. I don’t know much about tuning as in uk we’re only allowed sub 12 unless FAC.
I wouldn’t say that as it does make a hell of a difference is the noise reduction. I take on board what your saying it’s pros & cons I’ll have to bite the bullet and spend another £100 on an alloy hand rail or try and shim the rail underneath the shroud if I can. I don’t regret upgrading as you have to hear it to believe it. Thanks for watching mate and getting involved.
Hi mate it’s POI point of impact it’s when you have slight movement in your barrel only has to be 1/4 of a mm and you will get POI it’s due to the plastic hand rail on the vixen.
Can I just apologise yes I’m resting on a wheelie bin! And for the way I run on this video I’m wearing flip flops and my tits are bouncing everywhere sorry guys🤣🤣 look like something from carry on film sped up!
😂😂. I appreciated the fact you ran and not walked. Less video editing required ?😝

Thanks for watching mate there isn’t much between the 2 calibres mate both have there pros & cons. Thanks for the nice comment as well.
I have the vixen short in .22 calibre and very very accurate using Hades. 15.89 g 🤔👍

Hi Jon thanks for watching mate. Yes indeed I wish I could own 2 vixens 👌🏻🎯🎯
Thanks for this I asked if you’d ever do one like this a couple of weeks ago and you’ve delivered
Hi Ashley.
Thanks for watching mate hope you got something from the video.

are both sub foot 12 ones? i could get short version or is short not as good?

Totally agree with your brilliant comment mate your spot on. Great advice there for everyone.
The mount you have on your Arken Zulus, is that the long or the short one? Thanks
It’s not an Arken scope mate it’s a Pard with the original mount cheers.
Thanks for watching.
@@Ratsinthereticles sorry, my mistake as thought you had a Arken Zulus scope.

No problem I enjoyed your comparison
Sorry - what is POY - excuse my ignorance but never heard that before🤔
Hi mate it’s POI point of impact it’s when you have slight movement in your barrel only has to be 1/4 of a mm and you will get POI it’s due to the plastic hand rail on the vixen.
It's not really a great comparison when it's such a short distance.
177 would win easily at 40 plus
Why would 177 win easily 🤔?
Best I can do in my back garden.
