Thank you for a very interesting and informative video. I developed FND a few weeks after my 1st AZ jab 22months ago - and after seeing several neurologist have come to the conclusion that all of the ones I have seen can only offer physio as a treatment. Thanks for sharing the positive ideas that have helped you. God Bless you and hope you continue to improve.
Interestingly I ditched the cigarettes and guinness when I got my FND without issue. It's as if my body was sending out messsages warning me that it didn't want the strain of processing these contaminants. A lot of your advice is really good here Cassey, I think being proactive about developing a coping/management process is key here. Even things which might be challenging in the short term can be beneficial overall. I was part of a crossfit competition last Saturday for example. The distraction of focussing on various activities can improve the symptoms and I think is clearly vital for good mental health. Playing my guitar is probably the best distraction method I have available to me, I can lose myself for hours just doing scales!
I just started somatic exercises about a month ago. It's incredible! While I do them my symptoms are up to 98% gone and lasts minutes to a day or longer. You might like Sarah Jackson's online Restore program. She teaches somatics and visualization. Watercolor painting has a similar effect for me.
