More than just 3 Million Dollars, it's also an entire legacy on that catch. Tying a legend like Jerry Rice for 11 CONSECUTIVE 1000+ yard seasons is no easy feat, in fact its just Evans and Rice in that conversation.

Mike Evan’s is a class act. You know how bad he wanted that 5 yards but he was selfless and happy with the team win when it looked like he may not have a chance to get the yards. I’m so glad they were able to allow him to get those yards.

If I’m not mistaken this the second time Mike hit the 1k on the last play of the (regular) season. He got it on a 2 point conversion one year.
2 pt conversions don’t count towards stats
I just saw that he had 1,001 yards in 2017 (I think).
That was cutting it even closer than this, total-wise. Maybe not time-wise.
The Saints knew who the Ball was going to, they could have double Teamed him even tripple or Quadruple Teamed him if they felt petty, try and tackle him sooner but you can see them wait behind the 5 yards marker to tackle him.
One of the Saints player touched Evans after the Play which seems to me like he congratulates him cause they knew the Record he just tied.
It was good play design for short Yardage but I am glad the Saints let him have it as he Deserved it cause we know even if 3 Buccs were open in the Endzone in that play the Ball would not go to them unless they name was Evans and the Defense knew that too

Baker Mayfield has been a tad controversial, and up & down. But he does good things, and wins a lot of the time.
Mike Evan’s barely got 1,000 yards in the final play man clutch.
Mike also only played in 13⅛ games this year. He was injured at the 7:30ish mark in the 1st Qtr of the Ravens game and missed 3 more games after that.

I was at the tunnel during warm ups when Mike Evans was out there. Usually guys sign or 2 things and leave. Mike spent like 10 min signing stuff. It was cool to see how he makes eye contact or nods.
