    A friend took advantage of the support and put a side marker light to fill it and wired from the side marker you removed. Thin rectangular led ones. Looks great and you don't risk loosing that support.

    1/4 inch welds will hold a ton before it stresses the weld to the point of breaking.

    Fantastic installation video! I am currently looking at Deegan 38 fenders and I also watched a few videos to see how they look on an actual car (do yourself a favor and look up an actual video rather than a picture, because it does look different when you see it in a 3D view) As far as rivnut tool, spend a little more and get a pro version with different size dies in order to accomodate different size rivets, as a bonus they include a few bags of sample ones) My man, where did you get these monochrome sponsor decals on a side of your Jeep, I love the clean look as I hate putting multicolored stickers on mine… Thanks!

    Is it really worth buying a jeep wrangler??? I’m actually choosing between the toyota 4runner or jeep wrangler bcoz ever since i was a teenager i’ve always wanted to get a wrangler. But upon doing some research i found out that wrangler has alot of problems and some recalls, also my main concern is the lack of airbags specially in the rear passenger where my kids usually sit. So i’m kinda disappointed with the wrangler bcoz they did not really focus on the safety more on adventure and offroading.

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a question I can't answer 😂 We have had the 4Runner a couple months. I haven't had any issues on Jeep (knock on wood!) and haven't had any recalls. I make sure maintenance is up to date on both all the time. The Jeep is at 90k miles now.
      We will see

    • @Glint_Eastwood
      @Glint_Eastwood 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just make sure if you go with a wrangler DO NOT get one with the 3.8L Find one with the 3.6L it has now horsepower and is more reliable.

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True. They're NICE (as in looks). But as far as articulation goes, you're back to square one. What you gained in clearance moving to fenders like this, you lost it right back going to a bigger tire.

    Not understanding about regearing going from 33s to 35s. Understand that I dont know that much about stuff like that, i went from 33s to 37s and only had to reset my speedometer bcause of the size difference. Been running like that for about 3 years and no problems.

    • @Monarch67
      @Monarch67 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can and I did for a while, but bigger tires will risk transmission failure. Transmission needs re-gearing after a tire change so as to not damage your gearbox. Google it you will see.

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I'm at 3:21 gears, it's a manual, and this vehicle is heavy. It'll be super sluggish.

    • @BaptismOverland
      @BaptismOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not all Jeeps are the same. Like 2 people who have the same medical condition will have 2 different reactions. I'll need to know what kind of Jeep you have (sport, Sahara, rubicon, etc), how much weight you put on it already, is it manual or automatic, and what gear ratio yours has from the factory. I'll be able to tell you why you haven't had issues.

    To be honest, I think the OEM fenders look much better than these. They just look extremely cheap IMO. Also, to remove the factory fenders there's no reason to remove the plastic riv nuts or separate the inner and outer fender. The entire assembly will easily pull out together.

I started following you a good while ago and did so cause i think very similar to you and i like checking out other ideas and way to look at something that all said only us really poor MF'ers but products like these either cause it's all we can afford or in my case cause i wanted it done to hit the trail & or functions going on at the time but regardless how much a product is we should be able to use them for a certain time frame and with both of my purchases from this company that was definitely not the case !!! Installed a two sets of there steps/rockrails and both were completely i mean COMPLETELY rotted out to the point they're only use was to take up space in the trash , 8 months for the one set and 9½ months on the other and they were so so bad i had to literally rip them off a toss em idc how much the cost they ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY should not have rotted out that bad that fast. In your position id install em and give my feed back but i wouldn't expect to use them for very long even for free !!! Keep up the awesome job Brutha !!! Oh by the way you can drill out nutcerts or cut the back off and get em out that way , when you can access the backs. ....
