93: Visiting a Dermatologist for Hair Thinning

    I was told by my dermatologist and hair specialist that it was hormonal. Did she rule out perimenopause or the onset of menopause? That was my issue.

      I went through this. Hereditary and hormonal.
      I started taking flaxseed oil, vitamin d, biotin and evening primrose.
      My length started to come back but my hair is still thinning.

      @@deezlight2649 My mother had the same issue as I did. Her doctor, following chemo for breast cancer, prescribed iron and vitamin D3 supplements. Mama died years later with a head full of beautiful hair!

      I am glad I didn’t get sisterlocs even tho I wanted them the 4 to 6 weeks reties is also putting too much stress on the scalp I go 2 to 3 months closer to 3 because every retie hair is being pulled doing my own maintenance on my locs is better I can keep track of my hair
