    I have the Fenix 6x sapphire and I love it . The battery last week's with power usage and it is tough enough to stand a beating . The look of the watch is nice too. It looks good in the sun . Great video. One slight correction, you've the the screen specs wrong. The specs you've given (1.3" 240x240) I don't think are quite right for any of the current Garmin watches, the 6X has a 1.4" 260x260 pixel screen. Not a major difference, just thought it was worth mentioning.

    I had Fenix 5x Plus and change to Suunto 9 Baro. I tried to like Garmin, but although there are a lot of futures, it is simply ugly, in my opinion. Suunto has fewer futures but is pretty, elegant with fantastic battery time, touch screen, magnetic charging cable and screen goes off when the watch is on the table more than 30min (I love it). Garmin 6X Pro is a step forward but still not enough to get rid off my Suunto. Solar charging option is a great idea, but it is not well executed and sacrificing sapphire glass for 'extra time' is pointless. Great review. Best

      It always depends on the features you're using. If you are a long distance endurance athlete or you spend a long time hiking and climbing in the mountains then the massively improved battery life of the fenix 6 series is invaluable. Other than that I totally agree that the amount of new features is not that significant and that it's probably not worth upgrading from a 5 plus.

    *THIS TIME* it is finally best watch ever. Better screen, better HR sensor, longer battery time, super sturdy... You will use it for really long time, so ignore the price and buy it.
    It happens to every fenix iteration. Yet HR excuse is "it is not chest strap", ultra mode excuse is... (there is no any), screen is not as readable as old cheap monochrome LCD. Best screen property - it looks cool on images/videos. Yet not in real life...It needs to be charged unless you use no GPS mode. Button controls are ok, but why don't add touch as well? It can be disabled during sport mode/manually, but would be nice to have. IQ store is like first steps of android market. Limited apps running on limited hardware by limited developers... Altimeter. Is it any good?
    It is good item (of course), but please stop giving excuses at this price point and stop insisting that users will be happy forever. We will be happy until fenix8 is released, not more. After few generations it will look as bad as first watches with always black screen. Who wants to own one today?

    Damn. It is hard to use. I'll wait for Apple Watch Pro. Being so lightweight like air, easy to use with touchscreen that is so bright like microLED that us also battery efficient, bigger rectangular curve screen, durable with silicon protection like in rhinoshield (real sapphire makes the screen harder to see so no need for it), and with all those features + accuracy + HVR + easy calling for emergency/accidents are more important than 40+days of batterylife. We all have 24hrs per day. Batterylife can be just under 2 days and should be replaceable. It's so easy to charge with a charger in a dedicated stand before sleeping. Just put the watch on it like putting on a table.

    getting new software and updated software features when a new model comes out.

    $1000 Aus , and only 2 years later I don’t get the new software features the
    Fenix 5 and 6 get , Although the hardware is the same. This is Greedy and
    fucked up, I will never buy another Flagship model again until you make a
    policy change for Flag Ship Top dollar Products. Why get Crystal Sapphire model
    when the thing is out of date after 12 months , Fuck it I’ll get a cheap shit
    model and update it every second year who gives a fuck if it gets scratched ?
    it will be out of update service in 12 months anyway.. Very bad business

      Unfortunately this is the way these business can survive and be profitable... We see that all the time with so many devices;
      Most like making more noise and sending more requests to Garmin's support will help to make them reconsider this decision. They will realize that it is better to keep the brand loyalty, instead of pushing away customers by pressuring them to always buy the new model.
