i'm sure its hard work. but can you explain how a package labeled number 18 means th delivery driver knocks on house number 22, no one answers so they leave a note at number 6 to say the package is at number 12 when its really at nmber 16? or pull up, not get out, leave and then say there was no one home for delivery? add to that how fed ex can try and make me pay a tax bill on a package i didnt buy that some company just sent me, not mention it will have a tax bill on it when they deliver it. send the bill 2 weeks later a few days before christmas, then not reply to an email for 2 months, after which they say i have a few days to pay before it is sent to debt collection. fed ex is a terrible company.
Worked at UPS. Shout out to all my drivers and warehouse workers. I work in AV and Broadcast and whenever our driver comes you best believe I give him the best treatment.

Coming from a guy who worked for ups for like 3 years before i blew out my knee n then dislocated it extremely bad on the job from being forced to go back to work before it was full healed. My knee literally ended up practically dislocated almost all the way backwards. had to get surgery to put it back and ups sent me on my way with an 8 grand settlement with a fucked knee for life unable to support more than my body weight +50-80 pounds or so without my knee buckling. Some of those problems you mentioned are corporates problems but as for delivering to the wrong house if you seen some of the shit these guys go through you'd be more understanding. I used to work cutting down trees for almost ten hours a day when I was younger n I'd much rather do that than work at ups or FedEx again. I've also been a laborer on construction sites n that still isn't as bad Imo. Most people stay at FedEx or UPS because they need the insurance. I mean if you stick around for like ten years you can make some pretty good bank as a driver too but it's kinda meh. You gotta build up some stamina to work there that long. It's def not a job for pussies that's for sure lol
Man I worked in the rendering facility at a slaughterhouse for 5 years, we had a system break down but the slaughtering didn’t stop! A warehouse the size of a small gymnasium was filled with guts about 3ft high... it took us about a week to clean that shit up! I deliver over 7k lbs, load AND unload, including 50 lb bags of flour that are put on the truck for me, but still need to be unloaded at 4 am. This truck has 283 THOUSAND miles on it. It heated in the summer and cool in the winter with bad breaks.
I've been shoved off the road and flipped on the side by a hummer since he was mad I didn't let him merge.
I wasn't even being a dick. I couldn't slow down fast enough so, he pulled around me and shoved me off the road causing a 7 car accident and left me on my side.
Did I mention that I called my boss, told him to rent a truck, reorder that day's order and to meet me at the hospital so we could serve other our customers?
But, that's nothing...... I can only hope that one day I can stop being so damn lazy and learn what true perseverance is as I take heed to how hard streaming is.

I haven’t been on a 18-Wheeler but I have been in a Armored Truck, transporting money in an motorized oven with wheels and NO Windows.
And no working AC, driving across the state while not being allowed to exceed 65 MPH on the Highway.
All while having a boss saying we’re not working fast enough, making 80+ stops a day starting from 5 am, ending 6-8 pm at night.
