Directions by train:
Take train to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans station
Take the pedestrian tunnel to the other side of the main road
Go straight until you have to turn, then go left until you see a bridge
Cross that bridge and you'll see it!
There will be signs, so don't worry :)
Bus information:
Take Connexxion bus 391 from the back of Amsterdam Centraal Station.
The buses are found one level above the main level on the IJ size (there you see the ferries).
There will be a departure board that will tell you:
-The Bus number and destination
-Time until it leaves
-Which bay it will leave from (these are labeled with letters)

I’m staying in Zaandam in April and planning to visit Zaanse Schans at least once during my trip. I’m adding those Dutch pancakes and hot chocolate to my list! Glad to know I won’t need to worry about food there 😊

Those Dutch pancakes looked really good! I remember having some several years ago when I had a quick stop in Amsterdam. Zaanse Schans looks quite impressive and beautiful! I like that it is very close to Amsterdam, and it looks like a great day trip!

So now you know where and what the engines were of the Dutch empire, where the ships and goods were made, using wind power, it was pre-steam remember ..
I've learned a lot about Dutch history from many museums. Some are pretty awesome and this one has some great interactive bits.
