I was there. Spa 1995. I heard those magnificent V12 Ferrari and will never forget this experience. But nevertheless the man of the day was Michael Schuhmacher. Winning from the 16th grid place by just staying out in the rain on slicks was maybe his best performance ever. Couple of weeks later it was announced that he would join the Scuderia in 1996. But he was able to test the 412 T2 after the 1995 season was finished. The legend goes that he was remarkably quicker than Berger and Alesi after some setup adjustments. I have a CD with audio recordings from that session. Absolutely priceless. What a joy. The most beautiful F1 Ferrari in the 90s.
@@Belgian-Motorsport Both Ferrari in the first grid. I was looking forward to a start finish win. Then we saw on the video screen that they ware struggling with their cars after some laps. We sat at Kemmel straight in the dry and couldn´t believe what was happening until we realized that there was heavy rain at the start finish line. Just some hundred meters away from us. Welcome to the Ardennes 🤗🌨☔ After that we saw how Damon Hill desperately trying to overtake MS who was on slicks. What a masterpiece from Michael. I bought a Ferrari Polo shirt on that day. Still have it in mint condition. And i still love that delicious Chimay beer 😋
dunno, Pagani and Aston made the last two the decade of the V12. And the advent of capable aftermarket ECUs made V12 swaps a popular thing too (mostly seen Toyota 1Gs, BMW M70s and Merc M120s)
I've been an F1 fan since 1981 and the mid-90's was one of the greatest times ever. I think current F1 is painting itself into a dark corner that it will never emerge from.
I was front row seats, third on the gird at Canada. Guess who was parked right in front of me? It was his birthday and I started a birthday cheer that the entire grandstand joined in on. He threw his gloves over the fence to me. He went on to win it. We all jumped the fence and my ex-wife almost got hit by a Jordan.
This car is beautiful to see and the sound is amazing. You can't not get excited when you hear it. The music of this engine rumbles in all your body. Even if you don't see the car you can hear it 2 km away. A piece of art. I hope i can see in real life one time or at a Finali Mondiali or if i'm lucky at the minardi day.
The V12 is like the engine recorded in 70mm film, while V10 is digital camera. The image is beautiful in both but the 12 has more details, better contrast, you can almost feel the texture.
The best video on TH-cam!!! Go Jean, go Gerhard, it's lights out and away we go!!! Only F2002 V10 sound can ever compare with the sound of this V12. The most insane sounds ever!!! Where Are those 412 T2 now? In Maranello, Italy? Does anybody know? Gotta see them "live". Petr from Czechia, Europe...
So glad I found this video today, hiding at the bottom of my Watch Later Playlist for months now; the title is correct! this is one of the best sounding F1 cars EVER! 🏁🏁🏁🏎🏎🏎🏎
For me, the best v12 f1 sound is the mclaren mp4/7, it has screaming and roaring sound, ferrari just screaming And the best f1 sound ever is mclaren mp4-20 v10, nothing can beat this 19500rpm v10 scream
The V10s were usually at 19k in quali trim, the only time I remember 20k rpm was Schumacher in the F248 V8 from 2006 when he took a new engine at the last race in Brazil and was able to increase the max race rpm because it only had to last the race. The V12s if they’d kept them going would have no doubt surpassed 20k and yeah that would be unfathomable, the sound is so addictive and perfectly suits the Ferrari.
I miss the loud engines. Was lucky enough to watch a 2012 race at Silverstone but also went to a 2014 one because I thought it would be good. It wasn't.
But 2 years before, when you made an updated video about the V12 era, it was written in the spec sheet that this produces 730hp @17k. But now, you wrote 690hp @16.9k. ???????? ¿¿¿¿????????🧐

Glorious... But...not quite as glorious as the 94 412 t1. I was at Silverstone in 94 & 95, the 95 cars had lost half a litre, and put simply, the 95 cars just sounded quieter. Still louder than everything else though, as for today's cars - they sound like a wet fart.

The 80's too.. :)

@@911Turbo24 I have the pleasure to go to corse clienti events quite often. This beats all the newer f1s

I went to over 80 GP from 1982 to 2009. Hands down the 412 T2 the best. A surprising second was the Ligier Mugen Honda V10.
I heard this car at it's very last outing in Adelaide 1995. And subsequently the last ever outing of a V12 in Formula 1. Sad day.😥
Even sadder was the fact neither car finished. Alesi retiring with collision damage and Berger's engine going boom. 😭

*engine ever
Definitely the best sound ever!!!....🤙😎🤘
Together with the F1 Honda V10 ;)
I did see it in race Monza and Spa 1995, after in Ferrari Clienti. What can I say ? ......agree with the title!!.......and description too
What a way to start a weekend... Thanks!
oh my goodness the sound is absurdly loud
Here we go!
It’s that perfect marriage of a scream and a roar.
Just a radio and reverse button. This was pure racing, no drs, engine mode, brake bias, differencial BS. And oh! The sound of course😂
Best looking and sounding car ever.

V12 and v10 where both amazing. But the 95 Ferrari has the best engine sound ever!🏎🏎🏎🏎😍😍😍😍🐲🐲🐲
Nice to see them out on a track getting an absolute caning, too many sit in museums occasionally get a run out at low revs, not here!
Is this the heaven?
I hear a Sweet symphony
BEST SOUND EVER. There is a video on YT from Montreal 95. When it goes to full revs....
Fantastique le bruit du moteur😃

That was my teens weekend morning sound…miss it.
My favourite sounding engine, next to this is F1 V10. Even though the V6 Hybrid is in my opinion better.

The V10s going all the way up to 20k rpm were even more extreme, but nothing beats the symfonie of a V12.

Nothing against current F1 car today but V12 is still better.

Apparently not
The highest-recorded redline of this car was 18k RPM, which is ENOUGH for creaming out the V10s
v10 max rpm is 17,600
