The Ferrari V12 is such a unique sound, its glorious.
90’s povs were terrifying, clearly represented what driving an f1 is, today it looks like a train going 70mph
Yeah, the way I try to sense the speed more accurately is to look at the markings on the track or the kerbs as the car passes them by. The cars appear pretty tame when you just look forward or to the next apex, but when you glance at the road under the car, you can see that it's moving really fast, as any F1 car should.
The noise adds to the raw drama. It’s f1s biggest mistake…killing the engines. The sound was the soul.
What rubbish did I just read. Weird comparision in your head. F1 now is way more faster, way more g forces, way faster braking, only the sound is lower

I never saw luck back then.
Alesi earned every dollar driving in that cockpit. As his car seemed to loose bits of seconds around all the circuits. The Ferrari engineer s did not do a good job for him and his teamate back then, I do not believe. Because he always seemed to lose ground, rather than gain.

This is formula one very vilonent cars to drive sounded brilliant unfortunately these days f1 is lacking this is why i fell in love with f1 the noise the sheer violence to drive the car no power steering upwards in some cases 1500 brake horse power turbos. One minute you put your foot to the floor and nothing then suddenly the turbo kicked in unbelievable really. And the driver reallly earnt his stripes to keep these beasts on the track

All that power, and even with Prost they couldn’t win a race. As a kid, it always confuses me how a Ford V8 could beat a Ferrari V12.
Ferrari was the land of confusion at the beginning of the '90s and the engine was the only good thing in the car.
The chassis sucked, as well as the engineering dept.

@@EnzoFerrari63193 Don't forget the transmission. Ferrari was the first with semi-automatic transmissions, which evolved into the sequential transmissions we know today. Most teams in the early 1990s had a traditional manual transmission with H shifters.

Terrible cars...but among the most gorgeous F1 cars ever designed. My favorite is the 643.
