I just ordered a Searwood XL from my local Ace Hardware so thank you for putting these videos out. It's a lot of useful info to absorb. Regarding grill brushes...please keep an eye on your grates after brushing...i currently have a large plastic headed grill brush with silver metal bristles that constantly loses bristles now that it has a good bit of age on it. They can be extremely hard to see. In fact I just ordered one of those padded "steamer" style brushes to use on the Searwood. I'm curious to see how well it will work.
Regarding the grates. Try the BBQ Daddy, it actually works as great as what you see on TH-cam. You don’t even have to use iced water, I don’t have any ice maker so I just use cold tap water.

I really think Weber should go with stainless grates.
They are stainless, just dirty
@@daveshouseofbbq Nice. I thought they were plated. Is stainless an upgrade?
Another way to clean your grill grates is using aluminum foil and them when they are hot.
I’ve never tried that, but I’ll add it to the list
@@daveshouseofbbq I learned this from smokin'joespittbbq's channel.
